For those that don't know me check my profile, I have info there or whip me up a message. My private chat is ALWAYS on and always has and will be so say hello ingame. 8. Being a parent myself, I can understand why your parents are acting in this way, they are scared because you don't need them anymore. Your growing up in to a woman and making choices of your own. Parents always irrational things when they are scared, they will come around in the end, once they see you are happy. Just remember, keep in contact with your parents, phone them atleast once a week, tell them how school is going, tell them the things that are going on (they will love that, knowing how well your getting on etc). Visit during the holidays, even if only for a weekend, they will have missed you, so seeing you, even for a short time will make them happy. My advice for now is: You are an adult, you can make your own choices. Do what makes you happy and worry about others later (as I have said, they will come round eventually). Do it for the right reasons, if you really want to go to the college out of state, do it, but do it for yourself and your future. (boyfriends can come and go, your future is more important). Good luck hun, I hope it all works out for you!

  18. Well that's damn foolish of you. Babies as a teenager can cause dropping out of school, dumping the baby on the grandparents, just not good for anyone. I like that parenting liscense. If they could make a reversable vasectomy given to every male at the age of 13, which would only be undone after both he and his spouse pass the test, the world would be that much of a better place. I'll get my men started on developing that sort of procedure posthaste! As I said I was a teen mother, but I guess being in England I had left school and wasn't forced to go untill I was 18 (we leave school at 16 here). I passed my GCSE's with 2 A's, 4 B's, 2 C's and 1 D, I am also currently doing a part time Midwifery course at college. So yes, in my opinion, being a teen mother (in some cases) is not a bad thing, it taught me things and I am now a less selfish person. I was putting down teen parents alot in my post, so I was saying (with the quote you snippited) that sometimes it isn't a bad thing, although not a fantastic thing either. From the little section you posted it could have been taken in the wrong context in which you used it, next time read the whole post before you reply and also reply to my message, rather than a little section of a huge post. ~~~~~~~ Vasectomy's at 13? Now who is foolish?... jesus christ. Do you know how unreliable a reversal is? How much pain you are in for ages after? THAT would be a reason for a young boy to be away from school for a long while (which you stated would be a bad thing)..... double standards anyone? The only time serious operations should be carried out is IF there is a life or death situation!
  19. Things happen during pregnancy's...OUT OF THERE CONTROL...meaning that they can NOT support the child...as i said before. May I ask do you have children? If you don't then how can you possibly say this? I was in that situation, I changed the situation and now OWN a hotel (my youngest is almost 3 now). People that use this excuse are weak and if the can't control their life, despite "things out of their control", how can they help their kids control theirs and not become screw ups? Nothing in YOUR life is out of YOUR control, people who say this either let it happen or haven't / won't do anything about it.
  20. Well they are covered with abortion...... (I only agree on abortion if it is to do with rape or deformity) With the point about the husband and wife, if they can't support the child, they shouldn't have planned one in the 1st place. That is why you "plan" to have a baby, you think of all possibilities first. You can change your cicumstances, giving up a baby because you won't have enough money for luxuries is no excuse! There is support out there for parents of a low income, I was in receipt of it when I had my 3rd child. I had an "accidental pregnancy" we were using all forms of contreception, I was also taking medication to get ready to donate my eggs to a lady who couldn't produce. I fell pregnant and the doctors couldn't tell me why I was so ill for 4 months until I had a scan and they found out I was with child. We stuggled for money for a few months untill we decided to do something different, which meant we had more money. When having children you make so many sacrefices, some may be wrong, others for the better. If you don't want a child, the best way of preventing this is....... keep your legs closed, no contreception is 100% protective. So in conclusion, if you fall pregnant, you are not committed to keeping the baby, but bringing an unwanted baby in to the world is wrong. That was my point. I have covered every angle. This includes, single women, couples, teens, anyone who has a baby and gives it up for adoption.
  21. Some people do need it. I have seen many people pop out babies like they are smarties only to have them adopted or taken in to care. Makes me sick, aspecially when there are people out there who can't have children, but would make excellent parents. Yes but if they want a child that much there are operations they can do...and if that doesn't work theres always adoption. Not always the case with operations, my friend was born without a womb (no womb, no baby). Some people have operations after operations due to trying to get rid of cists etc and to no avail. Yes, there is adoption, and why is there adoption? Because 99% of the children needing to be adopted are from parents that can't look after kids or they are teen parents. Point made? Yup EDIT: Sorry to hear that Goddess :(

  23. My sister had one of these for the weekend (didn't have them when I was at school). Basicly the baby gets plugged in to a computer and it shows the statistics of how much the baby cried, how often it was fed (etc) and the results are then calculated to a grade. These babies are very hi-tech.... the batteries can not be taken out, you can be the best person in the world at electronics BUT the computer will pick up that it has been messed with, They are almost like real babies, there is just a few things that they can not do which a real baby can: * They can't smell (some smells are comforting to babies, aspecially that of their mother) * They can't feel (touch can be soothing to a child) * They can't do bodily functions (this is a good thing) *They don't move around (yet! They are working on this, but at the moment, it's a good thing) As a mother to 3 children myself, I think these babies will stop alot of teenage pregnancies which seem to happen alot these days, or unwanted pregnancies. I am not saying being a teenager and having a baby is a bad thing (I was one) BUT majority of the young women that do are: 1. not mature enough 2. don't want it 3. want to study first 4. Still want to have fun 5. are single I had been with my partner for 2 years before we decided to have children, we CHOSE to have our children and wouldn't change it for anything. I think these babies should have been brought in years ago, it may have stopped alot of unwanted teen pregnancies. Or it might have made people want them more? People are strange these days after all. ~Sas
