  1. I stopped reading at the part where you said you got lured... LOL GF!!
  2. Wild back... looks like we won... only took a few years ;)

    Great

The real question is why the hell do you have 200 mill of stuff in the wild?
  4. I suppose I should make the statement that not everyone 13 or under is immature... but at the time when I posted this I'm sure you can understand why it was easy to make such a statement...
  5. Of course!! Haha I had forgot all about this once college really set in... I've been playing Runescape casually over the past few years but it's never fully been the same to me... Extremely excited to see Runescape returned to it's former glory... well at least to an extent. ;)
  6. Well guys, I'm back after a long break from these forums. Simply blown away with what this has turned into. Thanks for all of your input...I'll post a longer response after I read at least some of the 41 pages this has turned into ;)
  7. Agreed the people that really care about the issue have already spoken....
  8. I voted yes... I may even come out of Runescape retirement if this happens!!
  9. I'd just like to say, your post about RSC in the rant forum was very well written and I agree with it a lot of it. Reminds me of the old days, even though I only joined in 2003.

  10. This is a sad sad sad attempt as you said to put a strategy game into runescape. The game they put out appears to still be in its beta stage... at best... they spend over 8 months on THIS?? YEAH RIGHT thats a load of BS. If they honestly spent that much time on it and this is all they need to change their company from Jagex to Jagfail. They are no longer "java gaming experts" they are Java gaming failures. I was looking forward to this update but I was immediately let down by how simple the game is and easy and buggy. I had a line of text duplicated on my chat that was overlay ed on another item of chat. So I couldn't even read a few lines of my chat box...
  11. The year is 2004, and Runescape is about to enter it's prime age when the release of the version we play to date is to come out. The community is strong, filled with fun, smart mature players. Varrock is alive and bustling with traders attempting to sell their santa hats for 200k. Rune Armor is the top standard of armor to wear. A few higher leveled players are showing off their fabled dragon long swords and battle axes, along with their almost bronze looking dragon medium helmets. Along with the bustle of merchants, Varrock is alive with pkers of all sorts. Many people are not even pures, and are just out there for the fun of it. The wild is packed. This is the age where the term "3 hit you" came from. You literally held your breath as you watched your hits display and if you didn't hit enough, you clicked as many food as you could before you were engaged into a fight again. Many people perfected the art of catching your opponent before he ran, so he would be forced to stop dead in his tracks, literally. Magic is rare, and only really available to the wealthy. Many people stand for hours looting the castle in the wilderness's rune spawn. Few teleport out of the wild due to the cost of runes, and the risk of failing your teleport spell. A breed of pures which Runescape has not seen in ages is alive. Tank mages are alive and well. Imagine an incredibly low level wearing full rune casting god spells on you. Some were incredibly deadly! There are no warnings in the game, other then a few signs marked with X's warning you of the wilderness. Warnings were not needed. Players at this time were able to use COMMON SENSE. We managed fine. If you were dumb enough to fall for a trap, you deserved it. The economy of Runescape was a free economy, we traded what we wanted for how much. It evolved around pking. Smithing and mining were in their prime age. Huge profits were made off mining and smithing. Those who worked hard enough to Smith Rune items were Kings and Queens. Draynor village was the center of the economy for selling resources such as lobster certs, coal certs. Runescape 2 was released and was met with mixed feelings by the community. Some loved the new found freedom of easy fast movement of the game, some hated it. The players were given a choice to stay playing Runescape 1 or to move over to Runescape 2. Those who stayed behind were destined to be left in the dust. Runescape 1 today is a graveyard of few players. With the release of runescape 2, Runescape would boom. The new graphics were prime for their time. The community began to swell, however with the wrong type of people. Jagex began advertising on a popular gaming website for younger children called miniclip. This brought in hundreds of younger kids that were not supposed to be on the game of Runescape. However, due to the easy-ness of going around the age 13 rule, tons of little kids were let in. These kids that were too young for the game were taken advantage of by many of the players. Many young kids who lack the simple ability of COMMON SENSE were often leaded into lures that were obvious to most mature players. As the younger player base swelled so did the pockets of Jagex. Younger Children became Jagex's cash cows, therefore, Jagex made the mistake of listening to the immature cries of their younger players. Jagex would dumb down the game. Luring became against the rules. I myself honestly never lured, but I never felt sorry for anyone not smart enough to realize that magic piles of thousands of coins just didn't appear out of no where... ( although I wish they did!) . Home teleport was born which significantly ruined the thrill of adventure in Runescape. Players previously had the thrill of charting the unknown with no source of back up, which now is just a convient click away. The difficutly of quests were dumbed down also. Jagex began releasing many short easy low level requirement quests just to please the younger crowd. Some of the story lines were so cheesy that I just had to stop playing the quest because of my disgust towards it. A ditch was then dug across the whole span of the entrance to the wild for the players who were too oblivious! to realize that they were in a dangerous place! Well gee, really, anyone with half a mind can sense danger when they see A. The Wooden signs with skulls on them. B. The BIG WARNING message that pops up over your screen. And C. players attacking each other and killing each other in the area. Updates were released that greatly decreased the difficutly to raise skills. ( Pest Control is a big example of this) That place , in its prime days was a boiling pot of cocky young children sapping up experience like animals. Many of us veteran players felt betrayed as we had spent hours upon hours training our combat skills other ways. People zoomed to levels that had previously taken us months to get. The younger child base would also cause ( in my opinion I know many on here differ) the biggest loss to Runescape. The younger base of often dumber players that was swelling in Runescape fueled RWT websites. Gold was bought left and right by younger players who were not mature enough to figure out how to legitimately make money in Runescape. Runescape became an uncontrollable zoo of immature kids and scammers and bots. Something had to be done. The zoo was so big that only a nuke would kill them all off, and that nuke would be the destruction of what had fueled runescape for so many years. Free trade, the Wilderness, and staking were taken off and were replaced by bounty hunter. However, this also has been now closed. No longer do the banks flourish with merchants and buyers. The wild no longer flourishes with people, even in pvp worlds. Player interaction, which used to be the heart of Runescape has really died off. Any advantage anyone may be able to take, has now been crushed. Runescape is essentially run like a communist dictatorship government right now. We no longer have a say. I was level 42 when I first got my full set of Rune armor. I worked my hind end off for it by mining coal. By level 50 it was common for many players to have full rune along with a luxury item such as a santa hat. Nowdays in Runescape I see most level 40s and 50s wearing mith... I miss the days of Runescape where mature friendly players roamed the worlds. I miss the hustle and bustle of people buying and selling goods, along with the players interaction that used to go on. This is a story/ rant about what I believe this game has turned into and I miss the old days very much. I hope they will come back someday.
  12. Their customer support is quite good? REally. How come I can't A. Send them a message. B. Call them. Basically we have no way to actually contact them which is TERRIBLE buisiness practice. Do you even know anything about customer support? You must not work a job..
  13. lol. This company makes sooo much money. Honestly, I'd expect no customer support out of a small just starting company but this company is a multi million dollar company. The only reason they can get away with it, is that most of their customers are 8 year olds.
  14. Wow they are pretty pathetic... First, they ditched basically customer support as a whole and told us to get our answers from the forums... What the hell is that?? What kind of company does that?? This company is one of the most greedy companies ever. What if I have a problem? Or a question? I can't contact the company and ask? We are paying customers. This is complete crap. and now what brings me to write this... They have even ditched customer support to the point where they are so backed up with reviewing banned accounts they made a whole topic on the forums asking people to post if they want their account reviewed? Honestly this is just TERRIBLE buisiness practices. I don't see how they can get away with it.. The funny thing is most of those unfairly banned accounts that they got behind on, can't even post on the forums so they are basically out of luck. They have NO way to contact Jagex. Poor people, those are hours of their lives that the company could care less about. Thanks for the great customer support Jagex, we love it.
  15. Yeah... I'm just gona walk away from this one as I might be a bit biased... Of course you do have the right to hate me... I've lost count on how many meleers I've slain... =P~
