  1. but you said you cleaned him, so you would be 15 mil up on him :wall:
  2. plain and simple, take there bread and shrimp.
  3. you arent me i'm me. why do clowns have a job?
  4. 3 cause the apple couldnt eat the orange without the potato chips. how come cows are white and black?
  5. As far as I know, Deception means to trick someone into a deal/proposition with false information. According to Rule #2, Deception is an illegal practice in RuneScape. Luring is pretty much lying to someone to get them into the wildernesswith their valuables. So..since we have defined Luring, it seems it is a form of DECEPTION..is it not? So, is Jagex breaching their own rules? Does this mean that they are being hypocritical by saying we need to follow the rules? I say yes. LURING, as I see it, is a highly dishonorable and idiotic practice. It disappoints me that Jagex showed their TRUE intelligence by allowing this to go on. forum luring is the only type of deception in luring. the varrok bar lure is not deception. you didnt tell the person to run out and grab the gold peices out in the wild. they do it by there own choice. so luring is "idiotic". i dont see anything idiotic in gaining 1 mill or more in a couple of minutes :D You are taking the candy and running. You take the items, add them to ignore, and change worlds. That's what lurers do. And yes, it take so much skill to get a busy merchant to run to the wilderness because (S)he wants to get on with his/her life. Oh, and "Thats just mean", if that's mean, what do you think luring is? And third, you're not pking, let alond pking with dignity. Pking involves attacked a player who is at least prepared to fight there. this is a game not any type of english test. correction you have to talk them into coming to your spot, you have to figure out how to get them into the wild, then you have to hope that your attacker can ko them. taking candy from a baby, you take the candy and run i think theres a big difference there. wich one is better? getting lured while your a low level and only losing 250k for that obby cape that you wanted or while your a high level and losing 1.8 mill trying to buy that whip you've been saving up for a while?
  6. I never said "High Level Main" - I said Main. As in someone having multiple accounts that they use to lure, and except for thier main character - which they dont want to have repercussions sought against. So some use alternate accounts becuase they 'cant' lure with thier 95+ main. I dont know what is more sad, that they, out of frustration at failing to lure people with thier 95+ character - they started a lower level.. or that it took them to lvl 95+ to figure it out. It is still wrong. What ever the case, it is false pretenses. Wildy is not there so that there is no honor, or no rules. It is there so players can play against one another in the field of combat. People that choose the honorless way, meaning that they feel justified at cheating, will always be that way. They will start out justifing why they cheat at a game. Then why they cheat in thier tests, Then why they cheat on thier taxes, or steal things from thier company. Those people are the ones you see on Jerry Springer. I however aspire to better than people that find it so hard to have honor. who hasnt cheated on a test before. i know i have. i know almost every single one of my teachers has. and i also know my parents has. most people that are 95+ know what a lure is and it is very hard for the talker to get them to the spot. making it almost useless for a 95+ account in luring. and let me see these supposedly list of "rules" in the wild. sure you have to follow jagex's standards rules but is there a list that players made up that you absolutely have to stand by? and if so how many people follow it? So you're going with the "Taking candy from a baby" approach? Taking advantage of the stupid to further yourself? I mean, how pathetic do you have to be to need to lure people? I mean, come on? You could (Parish the thought) Pk with SOME dignity, but no, you'd rather scam. I mean, you could mine coal, or cut yews, anything that doesn't lead to dirty money. Sure, you can hide behind the fact that it's not really against the rules, and sure, you can hide behind the fact that they were stupid enough to fall for it, but that's a poor excuse... Rob from the rich and stupid, give to yourself. A twisted robbin hood. Well, at least you lured the hat and boots to call yourself robbin hod... back onto topic. so your calling it pking then? then why is it against the rules? how pathetic do people have to be to fall for a lure also. :wall: "taking candy from a baby" is not an appropriate term here you try to get a lure it takes skill taking candy from a baby is just mean. King peter: as your friend Buckeyemange said its just pking dishonorably not scamming items Maddra: how is luring "cheating" autoing is cheating. luring is a more profitable way of pking I didn't say that it was PKing, I ment to say that, instead of pulling people to the wilderness and then killing them, you could use the Wilderness how it should be, with, as I said, a little honor. Second, "Taking candy from a baby" is the perfect term for this. All lurers do is trick people into the wilderness, and take their candy, if candy was a P-hat. Third, you call luring SKILL! Right, so tricking people into the wilderness takes SO much skill... Fourth, could you please use a little grammer? I mean, at least use capital letters to start a sentence, or throw in a comma here and there. were not in school so get a life. "taking candy from a baby" all that takes is for you to get there parents to look the other way. you take there candy and run, that is just mean. luring does take talent first you have to talk the person to going near the wild and that can be a challenge so it does take skill i believe these were your exact words "I mean, come on? You could (Parish the thought) Pk with SOME dignity, but no, you'd rather scam. I mean, you could mine coal, or cut yews, anything that doesn't lead to dirty money." you said pk with SOME dignity. second of all i still dont see how you see luring is a "scam" sure the drop party, and house lure is a scam and those are bannable. so jagex does know when to ban for scamming isnt that what most pures and stakers do? take a tank ranger at duel for example. they have most of the pure clothes on i.e the standard black d hide chaps magic bow robin set and soft leather body. but when there in the duel they bring out full torags with a fully charged crystal bow. that is very deceiving and you can loose a lot of money that way. and pures they lie to there oponent to get them to fight them. that is " lying or decieving other players for one's own benifit." " This is also illogical because pking and bsing aren't part of the arguement and the status on thos actions are not relevent to luring~" if those are irrelevant to this topic than how is "taking candy from a baby" or anything else involving real life relevant to this topic? pking is relevant to this topic also, because luring= pking but it has a very much higher reward. if you can get someone into the wild then they can get attacked and they know what happens in the wild so its there fault.

  8. deceiving= leing about there stats or tricking them into fighting them in wildy. this could be a form of luring, getting a player to skull on them then whip out there unbeleivably high mage and KO the player very easily... and when you said, "But just because the code displays his combat level as low, and you assume that to mean he's weak, doesn't mean he is responsible for deceiving you." this is very much decieving... and why do people keep bringing up stealing real life money? do people really not have the life to tell the difference between items and gold peices on a game, to real life money? you might say it has the same priorities. And no it doesnt not at all, some one can actually end your career in real life by putting you in so much debt you have to file for bank rupcey and lose all of your posetions. Compared to a game where you can just build up your wealth like you did in the first place... People bring up money BECAUSE it's a similar situation. The point isn't whether it's real life, runescape, or any other game. The point is, if you break a rule, you deserve to be punished WHETHER OR NOT THE PERSON DESERVED TO BE VICTIMIZED. It DOESN'T MATTER whether or not they made a bad choice. If a player chooses to break a rule, they deserve to be banned. This invalidates the whole "they're stupid to fall for it so it's okay" argument. Nothing more. Honestly, get it through your head. And I think, not 100% it's what he meant, but xarik meant that pures themselves aren't deceiving, it's Jagex's combat level system, and you're assumptions that deceive you. A pure is only actively deceiving you if he TELLS you he is weak. Otherwise, it is your assumption that deceives you. The combat level system is an APPROXIMATION of strength. If a player feels a certain combination will yield a stronger account for PvP combat at that level he is free to make such an account. That is not a deception. most people know when a pure is leing about his stats so stop bringing this up, like you said with the whole money position its the point that counts. if jagex started banning pures/stakers that lied about there stats under rule 2 there would be a countless number of pointless bans. and besides that fact luring really isnt item scamming some can be but not luring into the wild. seriously its posted clear enough at the entrence of the wild that you might lose some of your items if you go any farther. its your choice to go on the person who is doing the lure cant make you go any farther. you can just say "come to me" and if they say no you know its a lure but if you keep going and enter the wild with your own free will then its not item luring its just another pk with extremely high rewards edit: if your going to talk bad about luring then get a clue about it first. most people have other accounts because there main's combat level is to high. *hint the higher the persons combat the harder to get a lure is hint* and actually luring is dead after 95+ combat
  9. fighter torso and barrow gloves or even any other rfd quest gloves should not be tradable. for fighter torso it could take days maybe even a week or two if you couldnt find a good team at barbarian assault. all the mini quests for recipe for disaster that you have to complete to get barrow gloves also takes a very long time. there fore i do not think it should be tradable.
  10. deceiving= leing about there stats or tricking them into fighting them in wildy. this could be a form of luring, getting a player to skull on them then whip out there unbeleivably high mage and KO the player very easily... and when you said, "But just because the code displays his combat level as low, and you assume that to mean he's weak, doesn't mean he is responsible for deceiving you." this is very much decieving... and why do people keep bringing up stealing real life money? do people really not have the life to tell the difference between items and gold peices on a game, to real life money? you might say it has the same priorities. 11. Not all pures are designed to fool people. I know for a fact that I never kept 1 defence to surprise people. In fact if they ask I'm perfectly willing to tell them my other stats. Many pures keep their levels low because otherwise they can only fight higher level people in the wilderness. There is no deception because you are not actually saying anything. Anything they do is based on a PRESUMPTION. Let's say I'm walking around wearing a green p hat. And WITHOUT ASKING ME, you hand me 500k and tell me to hold on to it for you for five minutes. And I leave with your money. There's no "deception" there. You ASSUMED I was rich and would be willing to help you with this, or not care about the money. It's the same way with pures. If you ASSUME they are weaker than you because of their combat level, it is not their fault. I even know pures who only keep 1 defence because they dislike the idea of the skill all together. Luring and pures are absolutely, 100% totally different issues. not all pures tell the truth about there stats so should they get reported for item scamming? and yeah i'm not that stupid you know when a pures a pure but you dont know what kind of stats they have unless you use the high scores, but they might wander off by the time your done looking especially the ones with the unpredictable amounts of spaces in there names. and anyways if there keeping there defence at 1 there probably intending to pk or turn there account into a pking account... *edit* and yeah a lot of pures are ment to keep there stats down to fool people into thinking i can take this "noob" and then they completely get owned and there wondering how did that "noob" win that fight??? then they go to the highscores and look up there stats and  94 mage 75 range and 80 hp and there combat is somewhere around 66 :ohnoes: is this not deceiving the guy into attacking him and making him lose his items?
  12. i think luring is as perfectly legal as making a pure is. in both cases your deceiving a player. luring your deceiving a player into the wild thus getting you a large amount of cash, item, or rare. with a pure your deceiving a player to get you to fight them, take a pure obby mauler for instance. they think your a normal combat level i.e. you can have 20 attack with 90 str and 80 hp (not quite sure about the hp its probably way high for that kind of stats) and still be around 55 combat. if thats not a kind of deception then luring is certainly not, btw with that str and a obby maul you can max around 31. there fore i dont think luring is illegal. *edit you can actually max 32*
  13. yeah you could prolly do it but it will take a while... and bring a shovel
  14. i think either lvl 45 skeletons at karamja or the lesser demons are because of the close fishing spot
