  1. Ok, fletching would work and would be fairly useful, but I still don't see the problem with farming - only needs to be low-level seeds which could be bought from dray seed stalls, and npc seed drops wouldn't be hard to work in. I can't see slayer working, would have to be limited to f2p monsters and slayer masters need to be created. Hunter is never going to happen either, everything is is p2p so too big a project. And seriously, is the opening up of 1/5th of a member skill really going to make you feel members isn't worth it? Also, as much as you may not like it, there are a lot of underage players who truly can't afford members, and people are less likely to be persuaded to buy membership if f2p isn't worth their time. If an f2p player gets into this new skill, trains it up to the max level that f2p allows and then is told the rest is members-only, they're more than likely to go for p2p. Simple logic.
  2. Yeah, this seems to be the opinion of most people when concerning the addition of p2p features to f2p. May I remind you that some people truly can't afford the $5 (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 in my case) or aren't allowed to become members. And I stick with farming, although I'm open to other suggestions.
  3. He already has. Several times. I think it's just them being stubborn as usual, or they're just too busy developing more pointless updates and additions like The Ditch of Stupidity and the pass filter. Or maybe java couldn't handle this. I want this bank system to be used, but Jagex seem to have a problem with it, so I accept that. For now.
  4. Hehe...yeah, well, tough. As I said, it wouldn't be opened up entirely, f2p could only unlock new parts of the skill to a certain level, so members would still get a lot of exclusive content. This should keep members happy and entice f2p players into getting a membership.
  5. Nice to know it has some support, hardly a debate though :). Can I just point out that I'm p2p and not f2p, I just feel that something has to be done about the f2p game for those who are unable to get membership or just don't feel it is worth it. Well, perhaps with this, they would.
  6. I don't mean entirely, perhaps just to a certain level but with the ability to train it up to 99. I mean, I don't think anyone is in any doubt that f2p is lacking rather a lot. I just think that opening up something like farming, which f2p members could get access to with the farming patches in f2p, would give a taster of the members world as well as providing something a bit different for those restricted to free-play. It could only be a good thing for Jagex, perhaps convincing people to become members in order to unlock the rest of the skill, and it would take off the pressure to bring in more major f2p updates. I'm not saying it has to be farming btw, it just seemed like one of the more convenient skills to open up, and a reasonably enjoyable one to boot. Opinions?
  7. I agree, if there's one for castle wars and the Dual Arena, why not the Fight Pits? It would be amazingly useful, and would probably make a much better market for the rings themselves, pushing up cosmics and emeralds in the process.
  8. Lol fair enough, but any1 else with any good ideas for the introduction of horses or a use for birds eggs should keep em coming!
  9. I agree that a bit more info is needed but otherwise a gd idea, especially the 'rent your own market stall' (I think thats been coming for a long time) Keep em coming.
  10. Dunno what you'd been taking when you thought up the buying barrows, drag ect. idea, but I think a token that you can use in a clothes shop (depending on P2P/F2P) to get leprechaun clothing would be a welcome change to the Sandwich Lady or the Drunken Dwarf (shudder). Even a leprechaun emote would be cool, but I think that if you ignore it you should get carried somewhere random on a rainbow (the old pot of gold at the end of the rainbow thing) like with the Sandwich Lady. Good idea, but needs refining. :-k
  11. Hmmmmm, don't know about everyone else, but I'm seeing a bit of a Medieval/Late Georgian era clash. Trains?? What on Earth were you thinking?
  12. Wow. I'm lovin' those ideas, especially the different kinda 'grade' horses for different amounts of money, and the new husbandry skill would be great (dunno where they'd put the exp thing though, they had 2 put combat lvl on the combat type screen to fit in construction!) =D> . I think to do all of that though would take so long most current players would be off the game on its release, and it would be nice to at least see horses kinda take off in the game before I stop playing, even if its only as some kind of mini-game or sub-quest. Kep the ideas coming anyway!
  13. I'd definately have to agree, anyone who tries to establish a loving relationship through a game is just plain sad. Indefinately signed.
  14. Lol soz I posted the same message twice. :wall:
  15. I'd have to agree, I'm a member but remember the painful attempts at f2p PKing with mage. I think there should also be a new free quest that enables you to wear a new kind of mage armour, with less bonuses than mystic perhaps but at least better than the rubbish they have to put up with atm.
  16. Yeah, I mean I can see how it would take a long time to reprogram and edit certain aspects of the game to bring in horses and how it might unbalance the game/economy, but thats exactly what happened with player owned housing and that did the game good! Construction brought more of a balance to the Runescape economy after a period of construction material price boom and lower costs for everything else, and it also brought a great new skill into an already great game! Surely Jagex can look through the difficulties in making horses a reality and see the overall game improvements that would lie ahead? As for the birds eggs, I suppose Jagex must be cooking up something good to do with them, because rumours have been going round of an update to make them useable since the release of farming (i.e. its gotta be big!). Maybe theres some kind of mini-game or shop that you can use them in/trade for something good? Any ideas would be well recieved.
  17. Sorry I had only seen your post after finishing my own, I was merely highlighting your suggestion anyway and was not intending to draw out a proper plan for its introduction, this being but an evaluation of the public's opinion on the subject. Sorry for any conflict you may have felt between the similarity of the two posts (yours is infinately better prepared anyway :D )
  18. Lol kk I didn't know they'd said no, I suppose its fair enough with the huge advantages it'd grant the better players that could get them, but they would still open up so much that I think it'd be worth it.
  19. Yes, you heard me, an no I'm not completely deranged. Birds eggs have been out for so long and yet theres nothing you can do with them. There were rumours that something would happen with them at the release of farming, but nothing. Why are Jagex leaving us in the dark about these rare and as of yet pointless event drops? My second request is for horses. Proper, player owned horses. I see how this would put their owners at a great advantage, both for general travelling and escaping from say, the wildy, but think of the posibilities. You would have to do a particularly hard quest to obtain one yes, but they would open up so much. You could have jousting arenas, new weapons and armour for use on a horse, increased/decreased bonuses for certain weapons when used on a horse, new quests gained and even new shortcuts involving leaps over streams and fences. I think to be fair they would have to be non-tradeable, at least at the start, but I think it would be a crime for Jagex to ignore such a brilliant (if i do say so myself) idea :wall: . Please reply and give your thought on the matter if you would be so kind. Thanks.
