Well, let's break it down a bit... Fast skills: Combat (Atk, def, str)- Extremely fast thanks to pc. You can also put mage/range here too. Prayer- Moderately fast because of Ectofunctus, which gives 4x prayer xp, which is more than gilded altars! Fishing/Cooking- enough said. Thieving- Fairly fast because of pyramid plunder. Mining- Powermining iron is very fast xp. Alternatively, save your ores for smithing purposes. WC/Firemaking- again, enough said. Slow skills that can be bought, thereby making them faster: Herblore (buy herbs/secondaries, then just make vials) RC (hire runners, buy the ess) Farming (buy seeds, pay farmers to look after your stuff) Smithing (buy bars) I'm eliminating Hunter, since I haven't heard enough about xp gains to make a judgment. Also leaving out Construction, because that's a rich player's skill. This leaves three of the slowest skills known to man: Slayer, Agility, and HP.

How much xp you get depends on your combat style. Here's the formula: For Accurate (attack), Aggressive (strength) and Defensive (duh...): 4 x (HP of the NPC) On Controlled: 1.33 x (HP of the NPC), but to all 3 stats. HP experience is 1.33 x (HP of the NPC), no matter what style you're using.

PC is insane for basically any stat, just use d scim  Plus, you can exchange tickets for more xp. Sounds good to me.

The only reason I'm f2p is because my mom cancelled the credit card that runescape was on... so in the meantime (while I'm making a pking account), here's a few suggestions: A) Better mage robes/Teleblock spell. Seriously guys, the mage robes that f2p have... suck. Our best magic setup is: Blue hat/Blue robe/Ammy of magic/Elemental staff, which only gives +25 magic bonus. Members have full mystic, which gives +45 without ammy or staff. Perhaps Jagex can give us some kind of leg wear that give +7 or something? It would improve our defence a bit and make for faster kills as mage. And while you're at it, open up the teleblock spell as well for f2p. I'm sure it'll give a lot of people an incentive to go for 85 magic... B) BANK SPACE!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man, this idea has been tossed around forever. I'm currently carrying a junkload of useless stuff with me on my main because I can't bank it! Give us even 3 rows more of bank space and we'll be extremely happy. Please? C) A new minigame. Face it guys, after all the quests are done, there's only 2 things for f2p to do... raise skills and pk. By adding a new minigame (perhaps opening up duel arena?) to the mix, it'll give f2p something else to do in the meantime. pm me at onipaladin if you like the suggestions, but be warned, I'm not on too often...

VERY nice guide, it inspired me to start my own pure, onipaladin. Already have 15 atk and at least 10 str, and it's only my second day... -
lol I used full steel with addy b-axe and d-fire shield... I owned it but almost died at the hands of skeletons afterwards. Luckily I had varrock tele

what quest do you need to go to the combat training place
dknghtshadow replied to Barfbag4's topic in Help and Advice
Just Plague City and Biohazard. Lathas training camp is good xp for range/mage. -
whats your favorite combat training spot?
dknghtshadow replied to shaners22272's topic in Help and Advice
For training, Experiments. 400xp a kill is very nice for a lvl 25 monster. I also train at pest control, because it's easy xp with the killing and the Commendation points. Noobs come up a lot though... For drops, fire giants and blue dragons are nice, the former for d meds (of which I have gotten none), and the latter for dragon bones, which help prayer a lot when combined with ectofunctus. -
I got from 40 to 52 ranging on lvl 7 dark wizards :D , very slow xp but you get tons of runes so you can train mage. They drop all runes except soul (laws, nats, and bloods (p2p) are rare, i think they drop cosmics too). For mage training, lesser demons at karamja are the best xp, I know you've heard this a lot but they just are. You're getting 158 mage xp from just the damage alone, I'm not counting the xp from just casting the spell because I don't know what spell you're using. You can do the one in draynor too, but it will probably be pretty crowded (and it's multiway) so Karamja is the best spot. You can also try curse failing as well. If you don't want to go to lessers then try some of the Stronghold of Security monsters or Ice Giants in the safespot. And to answer your final question, fire bolt is the most cost-effective if you're damage-training, strikes do too little and death runes are very expensive. Good luck on raising mage/range.

Heroes Guild basement, at the "Fountain of Heroes". Obviously, you need to have done the Heores quest to enter the guild. If you haven't, have a *trustworthy* friend charge it for you.

High alch anything that gives you over 350 gp (i'm using this as an estimate) so you can just keep buying nats over and over. Any bow over Maple Longs gives 350+ gp, and steel plates give 1.2k. I suggest making your own bows/plates and then high alch in a populated town (Seers Bank is good) and buy nats when you run out. I know, you don't make much profit because you're buying the nats instead of crafting them, but at least it's quick mage xp, as well as crafting/fletching/smithing xp.

It depends on your combat level. If you have done Creature of Fenkenstrain, train on Experiments, they are 400 xp per kill and only lvl 25. Hard to find an empty world though. I've also heard Rock Crabs are good, although I've never tried them. If you can kill Lesser Demons easily, go ahead, they drop rune meds rarely which high alch for about 11k, and fire runes are good for training mage. Do quests that give attack xp. There are three: Fight Arena (12,175 xp), The Grand Tree (18.4k xp) and Mountain Daughter (1k xp lol). They're all pretty easy (ok, so the Black Demon in Grand Tree is hard, but I maged it and killed it in like 3 mins). Good luck on getting to 60 Attack.

Really nice idea, it would make it much easier to see how many experiments I have to kill until the next attack/strength/defence level... :o

I was thinking one day that Jagex should put in White Dragonhide, and consequently, white dragons. Think about it: ranged armor stronger than Karil's, but has higher stat requirements. Holy dragons that are stronger than black... These are just suggestions for the new stuff, if it seems too unbalanced let me know so I can actually suggest this to Jagex. White dragonhide: Required level 82 Ranged. Body requires 78 Defence to wear. (So people will actually train def.) White d-hide body: Armor made of 100% mystical white dragonhide. 97 Crafting to make. Attack Bonuses: Magic: -25 Range: +44 Defence Bonuses: Stab: +56 Slash: +55 Crush: +61 Magic: +75 Range: +63 White d-hide chaps: Chaps made of 100% mystical white dragonhide. 93 Crafting to make. Attack Bonuses: Magic: -18 Range: +26 Defence Bonuses: Stab: +36 Slash: +35 Crush: +37 Magic: +48 Range: +44 White d-hide vambraces: Vambraces made of 100% mystical white dragonhide. 90 Crafting to make. Attack Bonuses: Magic: -23 Range: +18 Defence Bonuses: Stab: +15 Slash: +18 Crush: + 20 Magic: +21 White Dragon: Level 275: 255 HP A dragon blessed with holy power. Attacks with melee and Holy Breath (a beam of white light). Damage from breath can be lessened and slightly reflected with Mirror Shield. So, how is it?

80 Herblore!????????????????????   It took me forever and one of the lamps from OSF (One Small Favour) just to get to 40. And 200k xp is just way too much, that's like 50 levels right there. Elemental orb will just make mages stronger than they already are. Halving the cost of Ice Barrages? Mages will completely own the game, no questions asked. :ohnoes: The ring and amulet sound cool though. If you lessened the steep herblore requirement, lowered the xp to say 30k, and lessened the level of the Zammy spirit, the quest might just be plausible.
