  1. If you think Garchomp + sandstorms alone are annoying, wait till you battle me. I'm currently running a dual-weather team.

And I'm running a mono-dragon+Magnezone team. Yeah, like weather means anything when I'm HURPDURPOUTRAGEDMETEOR.

  2. Well, just wait until you get to deal with the Sub+Sand Veil variants. Painfully annoying bastards seeing how they pretty much drop you to 80% accuracy at max just by having sandstorms going. They'll just sub until you miss, which after 5 substitutes, you have a 70% chance of missing, which is a lot. That's before they boost, which they'll probably do as you break their sub, then they'll get back to sub stalling again.

It's of no consequence if you miss against, say, Gliscor or Cacturne. But a well-timed (or not) miss against Garchomp can cost you a game.

  3. Because a private facebook account is totally synonymous with anonymity

Except this is entirely a moot point seeing how it's anonymity from the government and they've got better things to worry about unless otherwise noted, which is a mess within itself. So end this line of thought.

  4. Last year they threw a mattress into the pool. It took a crane to get it out.

  5. I hate centralisation and love anonymity

If you love anonymity, why do you have a link to your facebook page in your signature?

Because big whoop. No one cares if he has a facebook or not and even then it doesn't help anyone anyway. And you can set that stuff to be private, so it's a moot point.

  6. Well, my opinion? To absolutely no one's surprise, nintendo has outdone Sony and Microsoft in some respects. Vita seems a bit interesting but I'd like to see more first.

Naturally excited for Skyrim and BF3 though.

  7. In any case, bulky waters seem to be Volcarona's main issue. Things like Gyarados can come in and KO it with Waterfall no problem, mainly physical waters though. Special waters could be set up against provided you're not in the rain.

  8. They should be charged but they won't, as it's purile childish bullying. I'd rather they get executed or have the same done to them though, it's disrespectful and disgusting. And the parents too, they probably failed somewhere to let it get this terrible. They're not human beings, they don't deserve anything.

That said, if the video is still on that phone, by all means put a charge down for possession of child pornography. On all three of them. And women are disgusting creatures at times.

Whoah whoah whoah, buddy, no need to be so extremist about it. They are human beings. Children who don't understand the consequences of their actions. No need to get anybody executed here, it's just a case of bullying. I agree that not getting any form of punishment is bad, but it's not that grave of a situation.

Also, humans are disgusting creatures at times. men do horrible stuff as much as women do.

Maybe it's not that grave, and when you get down to it, it is a case of bullying. One that needs to see those girls punished. I don't care how they get punished. Yeah, humans make mistakes, but these... things did it on purpose. They uploaded that video consciously, knowing full well that the video would be public for all to see if they found it. I never excluded men from being disgusting creatures at times. You have to know what you're doing to upload a video, it's not some action you do unconsciously. They might not understand how far-reaching the consequences of such an action are, but what they did is unforgivable. It's completely wrong by any stretch of the meaning. Morals don't even come into play here, that video has shown nothing more than a complete lack of respect for others. I couldn't even watch most of it.

I have my own reasons for being so irritated at this matter. For the sake of not releasing suppressed rage, let's just leave it at that.

And as for doing this just for fun? There's a very specific trope for that, for those kinds of monsters who find this enjoyable.

  10. Heatran never really posed a threat to my Moths. It's not like Fire Blast does much since you can pretty easily stall with Butteryfly Dance/Leftovers until you are reasonably confident that Bug Buzz will do lots of damage.

This. Some will run HP Rock for some unknown reason to me though. Probably to counter the moth.

  11. Xmas 2009, I was 21 stone. I lost 5 stone by august, and put on another stone since then. Planning to lose more this summer. :D

    Fyi, i'm 6'1 and 17st atm.

How much is a stone exactly? I've never heard that term.

    one stone is 25 pebbles

I chuckled at that. But yeah, I'm looking to just lose some weight, seeing how I'll be up on a farm in a week or so for a month, muscle can take care of itself.

  12. In any case, I've started working out and running some time ago when I had time. My weight just isn't falling below 165lbs, and the doctor thinks it's not a lack of exercise. Perhaps it's muscle replacing fat at a similar rate or something?

tl;dr don't give a [cabbage] what anyone thinks anymore. They can keep their [cabbage] to themselves. My body just wants to hover around this weight range and that's it.

  13. I'm 5'10" and I fluctuate between 165-170 lbs. (Conversion is basically 177 cm/ 77kg)

I don't really feel overweight, in fact I'm quite healthy. I do have a little fat, but otherwise it's not too bad. I can start working it into muscle in about a week or so when I start farm work this year...

A lot of you dudes are ridiculously skinny by comparison and taller. I don't get it.

  14. If someone was a complete [bleep] to me I wouldn't sign the damn book either.

Because I don't like her, and I have nothing to say to her.

Just seems like silly passive aggressiveness to me, not to mention rude. It's not like you needed to write a full paragraph detailing all of the fun memories you've made with her along with your phone number at the end. All she asked for was your signature.

And he refused like a gentleman. [cabbage] doesn't need to be signed. I applaud Boros for doing that; had a similar issue with some friends back last year- got "pressured" into signing a couple of [bleep]es' yearbooks (and writing big paragraphs mind you). People just got to learn to say No and people have to learn to deal with 'no'.

So if somebody asked you for a cup while you were standing right next to the cups, you wouldn't just hand them one simply because you don't like them? Not doing such a simple task makes you come off like a [bleep], and sometimes explodes into something that could have just been easily avoided, as Boros is experiencing. Also, that was nowhere near refusing like a gentlemen. That was being passive aggressive.

There's a difference between a cup and a yearbook signature in that I'm not sure I'd sign someone's yearbook if they were nothing but a complete [bleep]. They don't deserve that respect. It is their fault, and they need to learn to reap what they sow, in this case a refused signature. A cup on the other hand takes like two seconds. Signatures take longer, and if someone did nothing but torment me, they wouldn't deserve more that two seconds.

Guess what I'm trying to say is "[bleep]es need to be put in their place".

  15. Today I found out that the words "if 2 cars have a head on at 50kmph each, the force on each is the same as if 1 were stationary." causes a [cabbage] storm in a house full of student engineers.

That makes no sense. I am confus.

  16. Circumcision does not prevent HIV infection. The Auvert study in South Africa reported 20 infections in circumcised males.[11] A study in Kenya reported 22 infections in circumcised males. Brewer & found higher rates of HIV infection in circumcised virgins and adolescents.[24] The United States has the highest rate of HIV infection and the highest rate of male circumcision in the industrialized world. Male circumcision, therefore, cannot reasonably be thought to prevent HIV infection.

This is probably one of the bigger examples of correlation not equating to causation I have read today. There are a metric ton of factors here that haven't been factored in, like education. There's just not enough data to support such a conclusion. Or deny it. There's no real way to tell based on the data you linked.

Hell, let's do a quick google search of sorts: South Africa has a population of ~49 million, and the United States has a population of roughly ~300 million as of 2009, for simplicity's sake. According to Avert (On US statistics), there's an estimated 1 million or so with the virus. This obviously isn't exact, and it could be a lot higher or lower. That's roughly an infection rate of 3%

Now, as for information on South Africa, a short and simple summary is that in 2008, a national survey was conducted where roughly 90% of households involved took part, 89% of that agreed to answer the survey, and 64% agreed to take an HIV blood test. If we multiply those percentages, we get a rough picture of 50% of the population, and their infection rate was much higher, going as high as ~27% in the 31-35 age group. It decreased below that for other ages, but it never quite dipped below the 3% estimate in the United States. There is some obvious variance for the SA survey, as we aren't sure about the other 50% relatively. The rate could potentially be half or double.

The conclusion of sorts: Circumcision wasn't factored in, but I'm not sure if that's as large of a factor as a lack of education on the matter. As for the higher rate in the United States, that honor actually goes to South Africa assuming infection rates stay roughly close to the same as they do now. And besides, South Africa does have a higher infection rate in males AND females.

Huh, I might have accidentally verified your point instead of disproving it. But education is a much larger factor than penis skin, and there's no way to tell if circumcision affects HIV rates. Not ethically anyway.
