The Battlezone games, made before Pandemic's self-degradation of joining the console-gaming mainstream. Speaking of Tribes 1 and 2, I prefer the latter, simply because I was exposed to it earlier. It really depends on which one you played first. I'm sure that those who were introduced to the franchise by playing Vengeance think that the first two games were horrible.
