Castle Wars is a fun game at it's core. You work together with friends to take the opposing flag and bring it back. Or, that's how it was supposed to be. -+The Castles+- The Castles are too small. They are about the size of 4 POH rooms, in terms of area on one floor. Simply enough, they and the rest of the playing field should be BIGGER. I want to play Castle Wars, not backyard capture the flag. The Castles would be similar in size and planning to Falador Castle. The playing field itself will be the size of the newly updated Lumbridge Swamp. That would allow for much more room for some other ideas. -+SARADOMIN Supply Room+- Don't you hate it when that 120, who is ancienting with the flag and surrounded by a bunch of other 120s, will take YOUR barricade from YOUR supply table and use it to block YOUR way. The Supply Room should be moved entirely underground. It will be accessed from a long ladder in the respawn room, similar to the ladder at the bottom of the security stronghold. If the enemy wants to steal your supplies, they need to mine/blast through 30 layers of rock to get to it. The rock will reappear in 20 seconds after they mine it whether they are through the passage or not. -+Balancing Act+- A lot of people think Guthix is under represented in Castle Wars. The solution most people come up with is a third team. My idea is different. Guthix Mage - Level 120 --->1200 120: Attacks with uncharged Claws of Guthix and a DDS. 95hp. 240: Attacks with charged Claws of Guthix and a DDS. 190hp. 360: Attacks with a multi-hitting charged Claws spell and a whip. 380hp. 480: Attacks with new spell - Guthix Rain, which has charged Claws spells raining down randomly hitting people. That spell would be considered Magic-Based Range, so Protect from Magic wouldn't work. It would also use a Whip. 760hp. 600: Attacks with Guthix Rain, Ice Barrage, and a Whip. 900hp. 720: Attacks with spells similar to Iban's (pushes you back), Guthix Rain, and a long-distance Flail. (hits through prayer 30% of the time) 1040hp. 840: Attacks with Entangle, Guthix Rain, Smite, and a Dragon Halbred. Uses Protect from Melee. 1180hp. 960: Can raise all attackers onto individual pillers of varying height, preventing them from meleeing. Uses Ice Barrage, Blood Barrage, Smoke Barrage, Guthix Rain, and a Crystal Bow. 1220hp. 1080: Can raise any part of the CW map into the air and bring it down upon another area, inflicting massive damage. Uses all Barrage spells, Guthix Rain, Crystal Bow, DDS, Smite, and Protect from Range/Magic. 1360hp. 1200: This is the strongest form of the Guthix Mage, it will not gain more strength after this. It attacks with all Barrage spells, can split itself into 6 different copies equiped with the Vengeance spell, uses a random protection prayer, lifts sections of the map into the air and crushes attackers, Guthix Rain, and a DDS. 1500hp. I know some people will say "That's unbeatable!". But, keep in mind it's in a multicombat area and there are several more of you then there are of it. It's level varies on the following: - Difference in the score - Number of people on each team - Levels of the people on each team The Guthix Mage is affected the most by Ancient Spells, other God Spells, the MSB, and the Abyssal Whip. It will only reach above level 360 if there are more then 20 120+ on the team, or if there are a total of 200+ people on each team. If you kill it, it earns your team tickets x the amount of times it gained in strength. So, 10 tickets if your team kills the 1200 form. -+Fire Away...eventually!+- The Catapult...the bane of Castle Wars players...especially your own team. This piece of machinery can hit around 15-20 on ANYONE, including members of your own team. But when does it hit that much? When you click a few dozen times to get it into the position to hit the enemies that left while you were firing. So, we should replace it with something more efficient. - Dwarf Cannon! :D The Dwarf Cannon would be at much better use at Castle Wars then at Rock Crabs, or being set up in World 2 Falador Park. It would still hit 1-30, but it would only hit enemies. Its accuracy would depend on the average range level of your team. It can still degrade, and it will need to be supplied by a new Cannonball Table in the supply room. - Ballista Almost exactly like the one you find during the Tree Gnome Village quest, it is loaded with, well, Ballistas from a new Ballista table. It can hit up to 30 damage on the name of a player you type in, or you can turn it on the enemy castle, a large group of barricades, the bridge, the central castles, or the Guthix Mage. It can be burned down. - Greek Fire! Greek Fire was invented by Archimedes, and was used by pumping out a mixture of explosive fuel onto a flame. The resulting inferno could go 50 feet out, and sink enemy ships/burn invaders. It could not be put out by water, because of the type of fuel that was used. In Runescape, it will be a lot like that. You would feed a mixture of Tree Sap, Explosive Potion, and Nitroglycerin through a new supply tube using a pump. The pump would pump the concoction up to a pump on the walltop. Use a Tinderbox with the pump, and start pumping the mixture. The Greek Fire would be similar to Dragonfire, hitting very high. In addition, areas of grass that did not have any people on them will turn into Fire Pits (like in POHs) for the rest of the game. If someone runs across it, they will take rapid damage of 1-3. -+ Help, I'm stuck on a bridge! +- You may be chasing the flagholder, when you and half of your team get stuck on the beginning of the bridge. Widen the bridge. Make it a lot bigger. Also, have it so explosive potions/Ballistas could work on the bridge to destroy parts of it. It's not a bridge now, it's just a little balancing beam that's nearly impossible to get on. -+ Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! +- We should be able to destroy the Castle Walls. This could only be done with a Ballista, which would make a 3x3 hole in the wall that a team could pass through. If you fire more then 1 Ballista at the same spot, then you could accidently bring more of the wall down on your team. -+ I can't reach that! +- Why can't we range/mage over Barricades? We should be able to. In addition, a new barricade would be released that is 2 spaces wide, but you can only have 5 of them.
