If you use stab.... then Long swords are definitely loads better than scimmis.... All other attacking modes, scimmy is better. Seriously though, slash with scimitar > stab with longsword, even against platemail armour. The weapons are balanced horribly and there is literally no reason to ever use anything besides a scimitar and a 2h sword
