~99/99 Firemaking! THE RACE IS STILL ON!
Going to get 93 and part way to 94 tonight. When I get closer to it I'll post when I'm going to get 99, but everyone on this thread is invited to my 99 ceremony.

~99/99 Firemaking! THE RACE IS STILL ON!
I've been really busy this week and I haven't been able to burn as much as I want. Nevertheless, I just hit 92, and still expect to hit 99 within 7 or 8 more days. just gotta keep truckin' :

Willows vs Yews
willows are by far the better trees to cut if you're going for fast xp. If you want money, yews are the way to go. simple as that. always annoys me when people ask why a lvl 99 is cutting willows... :

~99/99 Firemaking! THE RACE IS STILL ON!
Best of luck burning all willows... : I'm also going for 99 firemaking, currently at 89. In 4 nights I've gone from 65 to 89 lol. Burning all maples of course. I cut over 179k willows to get 99 woodcut, and I was going to burn them, but after power cutting that much in 6 weeks, I needed something with more speed, so I blew 8 mill cash on 93k maples :D anyway, you can add a progress bar for me if you like I'm racing against time. Under 2 weeks from my starting day (Feb. 19th) is my goal.

Quests!
I have my quest cape, and I do enjoy doing most of the quests, though the Regicide series was really annoying. But some of them are really fun, like Fremmy Isles, Recipe for Disaster, or Cold War. And for people who say quest guides ruin the fun: even with a quest guide, Mournings End Part II is still really complicated. Keeping all the mirrors straight and everything is pretty hard once you get to door 5. I don't think I would want to try it without a guide. :D

Guide to Shadow Sword Mini-Quest
just finished this little mini game and after killing the bouncer, my map is still blacked out... no matter where I go. little glitch perhaps. :D very nice guide by the way

.¢¢âš¬¢âš´âš¯)99 Woodcutting(âš
Good luck... it's a long road, but it's not too bad. I cut straight through from 72 to 99 in six weeks. It's not impossible to start small and end up with 99, but it does take work. Woodcut is a fun cape to have. Buena suerte. :

Woodcutting Analysis: Dragon Axe vs. Rune Axe
I used a dragon axe from 86 to 99 woodcut, and I loved it. It is definitely faster, there's no question about that... and like I told the countless people who asked me while cutting, it is definitely worth getting if you're doing some long-term cutting. you can do what I did, just finish woodcutting and resell it. I basically rented mine for a few weeks and made all my money back :D though, do watch out for those stray axe heads... I've seen more than a few people lose them, and they weren't too happy about that.

Free half wines woo0t?
It was before RS2 even came out. Members were given a fresh level 3 account in beta to test it out. There were many glitches, the most notable being the dupe glitch in party hall which allowed the duplication of items. People abused it like mad; though it didn't matter, since it was in the beta stage, and afterward Jagex deleted these accounts (and of course fixed all of the major glitches) then transferred the RSC accounts to RS2, then they launched the game. actually we were able to use our normal accounts, they just didn't have any items on them... I remember my lvl 100 at the time became lvl 103 when I logged into beta. that's how rune armor was made during beta, people just went and smithed it. after a few days, they transferred your items from rsc over to the new beta accounts to try out, and that's when everything went crazy with the party hall glitch :D anyone remember the trawler glitch that let you teleport away, and it looked like you were swimming in the ground everywhere you went? so, so much fun

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
exactly how many times do I have to say "wear the rabbit foot" before people quit posting stuff like that? ^ jesus, wear the rabbit foot. cook the rabbit foot and serve it at your wedding reception. adopt a rabbit foot from africa and send it to a private school in america. take the rabbit foot out on a nice date and maybe even have a tender good night kiss at the end. Wear them if you want to. I never told anyone not to wear them. I said in my experience it didn't work, and I won't be wearing one anymore. I am suspicious of its ability to "greatly increase" drop rate is all. People need to quit posting what other people have said before, numerous times I might add, on this thread in an attempt to sound intelligent. for pete's sake, all I did was tell people I didn't see any difference... you would think I suggested Jagex make a quest based on the Holocaust.

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
yes I could have been more specific, but I wasn't intending this to be the next theory of relativity, lol. Maybe for long term cutters of willows, such as myself, it's not important to wear one. for the rest of you, cutting 1k logs or so, it might be worth it... but that's up to you. I was vague on purpose; not only because I don't think it's the most important item anyway, but because my main goal of cutting logs was not to study the rabbit foot... it was to work on 99 woodcut. taking rough data was enough for me, but if anyone wants to go cut for nearly 30 days, take precise data and work out the averages, then go ahead. I'm truly sorry for trying to be helpful, maybe next time I won't post anything at all... :-# can't please all the people all the time I guess. oh well, at least 3 or 4 people understood the meaning of my post.

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
Thank you.. someone finally gets what I was trying to say. I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can. Wear one, don't wear one, it's up to you. I just didn't see much of a difference. A lot of people seem to think I'm preaching the gospel of a rabbit foot-less world.

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
Yes but my point is not that it doesn't look cool. My point is that I was wondering whether or not it even helps... by all means, wear them. In fact please do, so people will quit saying that. I'm sure Jagex meant it to do something, but it's not as though it helps as far as a 2:1 ratio. If I were getting 20 nests a day with it and 8 a day without it, then yeah I would be all over it. I'm just saying maybe it doesn't even really help. By no means was I advocating people not wearing it. The whole point of this was to determine it's effectiveness, it's not like I'm a RuneScape fashion critic and I think the "ugly little necklace" shouldn't be worn because it isn't pretty. I'm saying maybe, just maybe, it doesn't really help. That's it. And as far as I can tell, over the course of cutting 74k logs in this study of mine, no, it doesn't help.

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
Maybe. But like I said, this is my data, and someone else might have a different experience. And no where in there did I say "do not wear these they are a waste of time." I said I didn't see any difference, commenting on the effectiveness of it. Wear one if you want, I'm just saying that I don't think I need to anymore.
-
My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
well in my opinion, it isn't effective :D I've seen no difference in the amount of nests, so I decided not to wear it anymore. It's the same as the people who feel they don't need to wear a RoW even though it is considered "effective." just my choice though, I don't want to totally tear down the poor rabbit's foot lol. but I am done with them.

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
haha, well I do like the looks of a glory amulet there better than the rabbit foot. but like I said, wear it if you want, but I didn't see any difference :D

My Experience With The Strung Rabbit Foot
I know there is some discrepancy over the effectiveness of the RoW and whether it sometimes even decreases chances of good drops, so I decided to try out the Strung Rabbit Foot while I was going for my woodcutting goal. Now according to Jagex, it supposedly increases the chance of a bird's nest while woodcutting. Keeping this in mind, I took down some data while wearing /not wearing my SRF over the course of the past couple weeks. This is what I found. What/how much I was cutting Draynor Willows 3.5-4k logs a day Wielding a dragon axe Total of 74k logs cut since I started this experiment Figures and Results While cutting about 3.5-4k logs a day and wearing the Rabbit Foot, I was averaging between 16-20 nests a day. Most seemed to be split half and half between ring nests and seed nests, with the occasional bird's egg. I figured this was pretty good, as that is a decent amount of nests. Also, a couple times I had the luck of getting an upwards of 2 to 3 nests per load. I began to think maybe it did actually have a fairly decent effect on the number of nests you get while cutting. Things were looking good for the Rabbit Foot  Next I started cutting without the Rabbit Foot on. Cutting the same amount of logs a day for the same amount of time, I realized something after comparing my figures; I was getting the same amount of bird's nests. With or without it equipped, I'm getting the same average of 16-20 nests a day within the 3.5-4k logs span. I even still had the luck of getting 2 to 3 nests a load about as often as I did with the SRF on. :-k The drop rate of nests without a Strung Rabbit Foot on were strikingly similar, leading me to believe that the SRF may not have the effect that Jagex says it does. Conclusion Jagex says that the Strung Rabbit Foot is supposed to increase the number of bird nests while woodcutting. However, according to my figures that I kept while cutting over the past couple of weeks, the difference between wearing one and not wearing one is negligible. Averaging around the same number of nests with or without one, I'm fairly certain that the Rabbit Foot has no effect whatsoever. Could it be another non-effective drop increasing item by Jagex? Maybe. I know some people believe the RoW doesn't work, so might this be the case again? I think that it is entirely possible. Not only that, I think it is rather bland looking and doesn't really match any clothing. :D However, it's not as though they are hard to get or expensive at all, so you aren't sacrifcing anything but your cool outfit in getting one lol. So to conclude, whether you wear one or not, I believe you will be getting the same amount of nests no matter what. Actually, I have even heard other people complain about it's effectiveness, so my results may hold some truth. Thanks for reading! Note: This is only my data. Someone else may have a different experience with the Rabbit Foot than I did, but I have cut enough logs and kept track of all my data carefully enough to not ignore my results.

"Can I have plz?"
that's exactly how I feel. I know that, 90% of the time, if I make friends with a person under lvl 85 or so, they will end up asking me for a huge amount of free stuff... and when that happens, I just take them off right away. all they see is me logging out :D
-
"Can I have plz?"
haha yeah, that's another one I hear almost every time, "my main is 105"

"Can I have plz?"
Over the past 26 days of woodcutting, I've had to interact with a lot of different players. Some people I have met have been really awesome, or fun to talk with, and they help make the time go by faster. Then there are the players who seem to think they are entitled to everything in my bank. I can't even recall all the times I've heard: them: "how many willows you got?" me: "about 65k" them: "can i have plz?" even after I say no, they say "plz just 500" sometimes it continues after that. "can i have 50k?" "can i have a rune axe?" even saying no to this I almost always get "ya but ur rich." ugh, never ends lol... every single day. anyone else have this happen in your different training situations?

What is your favorite way of making money? [Poll]
Barrows all the way for me. It might not be as quick as some ways, but there is always that little chance for a big payoff... and I love the mage xp from it.
