  1. No, they are supposed to be equal! Each race has its advantages and disadvantages! The vampires can't make things really...while the humans can. It's all about what style of game you want. They're supposed to be equal though, with their own advantages and disadvantages. But then, it's easier for Humans to become merchants, then Vampires.... I understand the point you're trying to make, but I can't really see it working- I'll start off with more simple, and similiar races, and go from there.
  2. ^ I wasn't asking you to elaborate on the bolded phrases, merely add to the current features, hehe. I'm not too fond of the Vampire blood-sucking idea, considering I want everyone to at least start off equal in the start.
  3. So, a choice of race, so to speak? You could be an elf, a goblin, a vampire, or a demon? What would be your preference, Flash (not many games that are flash based), Java (Runescape), or Web-based (Neopets)? Heheheee...I'm not good at this kind of stuff, but I guess Java. :P The game would be based on vampires, though. Hm, Java. I'm not very good at it, but I can learn as I go along. It won't ever be anything like Runescape, at least not for a long time. I'll make it in Flash first, and then progress into Java once I've got the first draft done. Current Features: Choice of Race Quests. --- Any other ideas? Skills? Your own personal shop? NPC's? What else? --- Edit: I'm afraid C++ is not an option, if I was to do it with that, it would be a much longer, much more tedious job- not only that, but such games already exist- Red Alert, Age of Empires, Civilisation, et cetera.

  5. Runescape is good and all, but it could be a lot better. Same with other games, such as World of Warcraft, and Neopets. What would be your ideal Internet Game, be it Java, Flash, or all web-based like Neopets? I'm moderately skilled in HTML, Actionscript, and other internet programming languages, and I have been interested in starting up a small web-game for some time now, all I need is some motivation. I will edit this post with any progress. Game Features: Choice of Race. Quests. NPCs. Shops. Skills. Game Language: First Draft will be Actionscript Game Theme: Mythology Based- Norsk, Specifically Skills Combat: Strength, Attack, Defence. Certain 'attack styles' will hurt certain creatures much more. Interface - Will take place in the realm of Midgard. - Third Person, view from above. - Interactive Enviourments. Races Humans, Elves. Current plans are that all races are equal, and neither have any better skills than the other. It is merely just for show.
  6. That's not what I meant. Say, they could make it so it's like fishing. So you can stay on one rock, and mine until you have a full inventory-- that would ease the boredom a bit. Or make it so rocks don't need to respawn, so there isn't a constant fight over rocks, where higher level players get an advantage. Any other ideas?
  7. Ah, yes; but people would have to start with Essence, in order to get enough money to merch airs. ;)
  8. Yeah, that is a big problem, considering some users are not always into buying your essence all the time.
  9. Doesn't anyone else get sick of the constant clicking? I mean, can Jagex make mining a little bit more interesting. It bores me to shreds, perhaps have it so it's a bit more fun, or something. Suggestions? Comments?
  10. Speaking of which, how much would 1000 rune essence sell for?
  11. So, for example, buy 1K air runes at 12K, and sell for 15K, right?
  12. I've decided to try my hand at merchanting. Currently, I have a low budget of 1-5K... What would be ideal to merchant? Is there any guides on merchanting?
  13. I have recently obtained 1000 feathers, and I am thinking of selling them. What would be a reasonable price?
  14. ^ I raise all of my skills equally, so I will be training Defence as well as Strength and Attack.
  15. Now, I've run into a little problem. I can defeat the majority of monsters fine, but wizards totally pwn me!! Is there any shields that block magic?
  16. Which would be the best choice for me? I am melee based, and my attack, defence, and strength are all 30. Which should I buy?
  17. Oh, heh. I feel like a moron. So it doesn't matter what level the creature is, because the XP is generated according to the 'hit' you perform on said creature? :uhh:
  18. I'm only level 30 fishing, and i'm only level 5 woodcutting, I already do air runes, but is there anything else that would be worth doing?
  19. Hidhaeg replied to Spicer001's topic in Help and Advice
Essence still sells great on F2P worlds, I mine 500, and make 1K air runes, which sell for 25-35K. =]
  20. Just to be safe, I'm going to wait until I'm combat level 40. ;)
  21. Which creatures on level 2 would be best to train on?
  22. Also, training has become a bit easy on level one. My combat level is 31, where should I train?
  23. Abyssmal Whip (sp?) is the best weapon in Runescape, I believe.
  24. I have full mithril armour, with a mithril scimitar, and an amulet of strength. My attack, defence, and strength are all level 25. What level would be best for me to move onto the next stage of the Stronghold of Security, I'm currently training on level one. Would you say now? Or wait until I'm level 35 in each, or what? :)
  25. Be that the case, it's already too late for me. :(
