Why does everyone hate F2P?
Ahh. The_Maddest, I like you. You actually make sense. ;) I stand by his opinions - but of course, they don't amount to much, considering I am a member of 'noobish F2P'. I would pay for members - but with my parents current financial difficulties (£600 in debt), they can't afford it.

"Refining/secondary" skills not rewarding enough?
I like this idea. A higher demand for Rune armour, would mean a higher price - therefore, more money for skillers! There's too much emphasis on the actual skilling, and not enough on the final product - it's skill cape's fault. Suddenly, everyone wants to get to 99 in every skill, so they can wear a silly cape.

Runescape HD/Full Screen - What will F2P Get?
F2P are defiantly getting the graphical update - it's a wise move from a business sense. If you played a demo with completely different graphics compared to the real version, would you really go out and buy it? I hope we get fullscreen too - but I doubt it. It's one of those neat little features that I imagine only P2P will get, as it doesn't impact the gameplay in any way.

Why does everyone hate F2P?
Elitist P2P Community, who insist that they were never 'low-life freeloading F2P noobs'. At least that's my view - read some of the debates about whether F2P should get updates, and you'll see what I mean.

New runescape.com! = RS HD BETA
Lol which game are you talking about there Master Chief? Everything's relative, and these are supergreat for Runescape, Great for an MMO (better than Knight Online, arguably better than WoW), and decent for a console game. Yeah yeah your FPS's blow it out of the water, but try playing an FPS for tens of DAYS of playtime. You can't. Your argument there will be worthless, once the latest MMO is released. (Based around CryEngine 2).

Got black marks for offensive language - unfair!
If they had rules for everything bad that people could do, then the list would be infinite long, and no one would bother to read them. It's a simple matter of 'TL;DR'.

Training smithing in F2P
I'm afraid, making steel bars is your best bet; failing that, buy the materials required to do Mithril... but I have a feeling Steel Bars is cheaper and quicker.

New runescape.com! = RS HD BETA
The lag is mostly to do with the amount of people downloading from the servers - and everyone else: 1 GHz CPUs? And less? That technology is ten years old - you can't expect Jagex to 'hold back' on game improvements just because you can't keep up with the technology. They're losing out on a vast amount of people, just by catering to those with terrible PCs. I've seen a lot of people saying stuff like '64 mb video memory? damn, I only have 32'. 32!?! That's an insane amount. Who has 32MB graphics cards nowadays? a 256 MB one is only around $40. Why don't you just update? Just my two cents, so please don't flame.

Is anyone else getting cold sweats?
For the new graphics? I am. The graphical update really isn't that amazing, but for some reason, I cannot wait to play it! High detail, full screen... It's the stuff dreams are made out of! It's gotten to the point where I can't play Runescape any more - it's just "not enough", but as soon as that update comes out, ka-zam, nevermind Battlefield 2 and STALKER, I'll be all over Runescape again. How about you? Does the update appeal to you?

I think it was a bad attempt at a joke.

New Runescape Review.
Glad to see a fellow Runescape fan that can admit, Runescape has a few flaws. I don't get it. What's the big deal - the review is just 5/6 gamer's opinions on the game. Why are people getting so upset?

New Runescape Review.
Well, I'm sorry to hear you didn't find the review fair - I should have expected that Tip.It is a fan-boy haven. The only incorrect fact I could see, was about the 200 quests, which I, myself, did not write. The review was a collaborative effort from several gamers - mainly the review staff on the website. They decided it was about time I wrote a review, so I typed up all of our opinions into it. Why do people keep bringing up 'play the game for more then 15 minutes'? I have been playing for two years, just not to the basement-dweller extent of not having a life. Believe it or not, I did have school to go to, I will soon have a job, and I have a girlfriend who I have to see. I don't have time to put 12+ hours into the a game a day. Further more - what kind of reviewer would actually play 1000+ hours on a game that they're planning to review? That'd make them an avid fan, and would automatically make the review unfair. Yes, I am a Runescape fan - but I tried to maintain a sense of neutrality in the review. Delete or lock thread please.

New Runescape Review.
I wrote a review for F2P, because it's advertised as being a video game, regardless whether got all the features or not. The argument some of you are putting forward is like: 'You can't write a review for WoW unless you've tried all of the weapons in the game, because if you anything below *such and such an armour* or haven't paid another $40 to unlock this map, you haven't played it'. Free to Play IS a full Runescape game. Members just get 'extra' components to add to it. At least, that's my view.

RuneScape High Detail To Be Debuted At E3
Luckily, Runescape is one of the only Online MMORPGs that are based in Java I know about - so regardless, people would probably be impressed by the graphics. I don't understand why, though. Yeah, some people must think it's great for a browser based game - but they could do so much more. They're just trying to keep the file size low.

Because we point out your flaws? Pointing out flaws is fine. Downright rudeness is not fine, however. The list goes on. Some of the responses were good, however, and I will take in the advice for next time, but rudeness just makes you seem immature. I wasn't sure about the 200+ quests for Members, I wasn't too sure how to check - my proof-reader changed it, after I sent him the copy to upload.

Regardless, thank you for a mature response.

New Runescape Review.
I fail to see how not enjoying the game suddenly makes my review a pile of cabbage? Further more, F2P, in itself, is a game. I can write a review about that - Around the same amount of money a month, could unlock XBox Live for me, which allows me to play unlimited games online. For a game with the simplicity of Runescape, I doubt any of my money is worth it. I am entitled to write my own reviews - I am entitled to my own opinions. I can dislike the community, trading system, battle system, or whatnot to whatever degree I want. Moderators, please lock. It's just attracting flame. Clearly you can't have a adult conversation around here, without childish comments such as: "PHAIL DIS REVIEW IS SO OUTTA ORDER" (One of the comments I've just had to delete off the comment system on my site). I expected more from Tip.it, I really did. Clearly, the average IQ here, is not much higher than that of the official Runescape forums.

New Runescape Review.
Let's clear a few things up. 1) I have been playing Runescape for two years now, for an around an average of 12 hours a week. This last month, I've lost interest in Runescape, and I've cut down to maybe an hour or two a month. 2) This review is for F2P - considering that's what the majority of users play. Who cares if P2P is the real game? F2P is entitled to a review too. 3) We are entitled to our own opinions. I didn't think the game was groundbreaking - you do. It doesn't matter, I am entitled to write my own review of the game, from a casual gamers stance, if I wish to. 4) It's no harder to code a graphically intense game in Java, than it is in any other programming language - I know this, as I have been learning both Java and C++ for quite some time. The low graphics are there to allow lower-speced users to play the game, and helping those with a slower internet speed. 5) The ratings are according to other gaming standards, EG: who cares if a Flash game has AMAZING graphics for a Flash game? Compared to the likes of COD4 or Crysis, it is nothing. I said I am not an avid Runescape player, any more. I am a gamer, by nature, and I have been writing reviews, and playing games for as long as I can remember. I started with Innerworlds and Commander Keen, many years ago - and moved on from them. A few of you have been fair - sure, maybe the rating system hasn't been explained particularly well - but the review doesn't have to be a 100% positive one. The game is fun, yes, but it's not up to other games standards, in a graphical stance, and in some cases, a gameplay stance. If you w ant to read a 'suck up' review, just head on over to Runescape fansites - This review from a neutral stance, from users (I collected further information from other Runescape players, to help balance my review), and there ARE bad points to the game, as some of you are very well aware. If you re-read the review, you will see I did mention an alternative goal to Runescape - levelling your skills. Here: Now grow up, kids. This review is in no way 'PHAIL' because it is not an overly positive one. "OMG! PC Games" obtains up to 5000 unique views a day, so clearly, there is nothing wrong with the content on the site, otherwise, people would not bother to visit. Thanks.

Guide to RuneScape's new Graphics - Do YOU meet the Req's?
3 GHz Pentium 4 ATI Radeon x1650 Sapphire (512 MB, DX9) 2 GB Ram Hmm. can I play the game? #-o Haha.
-
Will the new graphics be "Acceptable?"
There is no limit what you can do with Java - I don't know why people keep bringing this up. The graphics, even with the update, are outdated by a long time - 5 years, maybe. Bragging about dynamic shadows? Oh, wow. -_- They're missing out on a huge market, by being browser based - in an ideal world, I want them to take the route of Guild Wars. They'd earn money off everyone, in that case - and there would be no limitation in what they can do graphically. Obviously, they don't want to aim for next-gen graphics - because no one will buy it. I personally, would love to seen Runescape with WoW or Doom 3 styled graphics. The graphics in Doom, are 5 years old - and they're still quite pretty. I expected the specs to be a lot higher too - 1.5 ghz processor? Please tell me that's not the average PC of a Runescape player.

If I....
What about the second plan? Buying the iron and coal, smithing, and selling the bars. Could anything be earned from that?
-
If I....
Buy 1000 coal, and mine 500 iron... Smith 'em together into bars, and then smith the bars into plate bodies... could I earn a profit? What about if I bought the 1000 coal AND the 500 iron?

Working out prices, if sold to general store.
I'm not one for selling to other players, I'd rather sell it to the general store, so users get a better profit. I've worked out that 50 Cosmic Runes would come to around 8500, if I buy 50 of them. I've worked out that the gold I can mine is worth around 7500. How much do magic amulets sell for in the general shop, if it is empty? How much do cut sapphires cost from the gem trader? Uncuts are always out of stock. EDIT: and could I make money, and decent XP, by mining gold, smithing it into bars, crafting it into sapphire amulets, and enchanting? How much profit would be made?

Unlocking a MSN account
He sounds like a fool, using a Bruteforcer for a job that needs HIM to know your password. The 'failed attempts' system breaks bruteforcers, so he's pretty much done for anyway. Not really a chance of him getting into your account, as long as it's not painfully obvious. I don't think you can unlock your MSN. I believe it's all server-side.
