I went south west and found a village with trolls, almost died, it was a dead end. Please help.

I got passed "DAD" now I have gone through some caves and I am at a circular area and I tried to go to the north west like the guide says. I almost died from Trolls throwing rocks, then I go north and it starts to snow. Where is the entrance to the stonghold? Thanks.

now I have to give this guy 10 bread and 10 trout, and the guide says [bleep]ed boots. Where do I get these boots?

I did all of that with the rope and I had the amulet on, I opened the door and it said something about flooding and I was at the end of the river.

I completed the quest, I tried to get back into the waterfall to kill Fire Giants, but I got washed away. What do I need to do to get in? Thanks
