I've tried it about 5 times on separate occasions and from work and home without success. Is it just my bad luck or are others having problems? I just thought I'd put this out there to see what others thought on the matter. I personally have played Runescape on and off since the end of 2001 and never used to find it hard to make friends in game and play. More recently I've been finding it harder and harder to actually make friends in game! I find myself playing on my own a lot of the time with the only conversations I have with the few people I have on my friends list. Runescape just keeps getting bigger and bigger, with more and more things that you can do and need to do. I just don't think people even have time to have a conversation with you let alone make friends. Whenever I am training my skills I will try to spark up a conversation with people near me, of late this hasn't been that effective. It just seems to me that people don't have the time to participate in a conversation. Every now and then I will find someone to chat with while I'm training my combat skills or woodcutting. But for the majority of the time it's either just small chit-chat or nothing at all. I guess my questions to everyone is a couple of things. Do you also find it hard to make friends in game now? Does no one have the time to talk anymore? Please discuss!

I own a iMac G5 too. Unfortunately it isn't an intel processor. But hey we can't all be supered up :)

The best update to Runescape clearly has to be the trading system in the transition from Runescape 1 to Runescape 2. If anyone experienced the old way of trading (even AFTER certificates) you would have fell in love with the new system as much as I did.

I use Internet Explorer every single day, sometimes for many hours. I don't believe I've had any spyware on my computer in years. So I fail to see how Internet Explorer automatically means a computer gets Spyware. If you watched an average user I'd be pretty confident that it's user error and inexperience that is the cause of most Spyware infections.

I don't see anyone claiming anything about Firefox's speed in this topic actually. While howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html seems to be based on some vague research and fact, firefoxmyths.com is complete and utter bull. I've spent a considerable amount of time reading over the firefixmyths website and reviewing it's sources. And I must say I fail to see where this "utter bull" is warranted? I think a lot of those myths are justified in the multiple sources available. However I agree the website is extremely bias, and similar nit picky sort of arguments could be made about pretty much anything.

I think Jagex still want to keep the "Play anywhere, anytime" feel about Runescape. The Java applet scenario supports this nicely. I think they are doing OK at the moment. Can't be that many more years until they work on Runescape 3 or a brand new game :)

I'm still using FF1.5 at home and IE6 at work :-w IE7's default skin is so ugly lol. I've used it at work and I hate using it. There would want to be some sweet skins to fix up it's ugliness before I upgrade! FF1.5 is my browser of choice at the moment. Will get FF2.0 soon though I suppose!

Are you actually having any problems? Because I don't see anything major wrong in your log.
