Am I the only one around here that made real friends in high school?

"For every 6 months a man dates a girl, he loses 6 friends" Something a friend of mine said to me the other night. Resonated real hard.

Budy of mine got an offer at IBM halfway across the US (but he's a Korean Native, only studied on the East Coast) last year. Obviously he took it and has been happily living alone making 6 figures at 22 years old for about a year now. But he still texts me about this girl he met his first day at Rutgers. And now shes flying out to see him for 4 days and he can't get it through his head that no one flies halfway across the country just to hang out when theres been sexual tension for something like 5 years. Most successful kid I ever met...still doesn't understand the basics of female encounters....

You've clearly implemented a number of salesmen techniques in your initial conversation phase Muggiw. While I still dont like the idea of copy + paste conversations, they obviously yield desirable results. I commend your use of trade skills in such a versatile way. I imagine you'd also be skilled at buying cars.

I'd side toward visiting extensively without moving. Best of both options. Plus if you really end up loving it, I'm sure your buddy wouldn't mind keeping you around a bit longer

The logical solution to that problem would be for you to get a job, haha. :P Just applied for a warehouse job that I have a solid chance of getting. Not really my ideal job, but its 40hr/week @ $13/hr starting so I'm down. Anything to get me out of bed in the morning really.

I have no idea what this "Yesallgirls" thing is, and even after googling it I'm no less confused. But given context clues from Ginger's post I imagine its girls shouting glass ceiling at their careers and socioeconomic standing? And while the statistics of male journalism on front page verse female may be true, I don't find it a valid argument. That could be pure coincidence. Maybe there's just stronger established writers who happen to be male, there doesn't have to be anything malevolent about it (Just as seeing a skimpy outfitted dude on Page 3 may not be as overall appealing to the public)
