Veiva, I can only help but think your respect for sobriety comes from your brain unintentionally dissociating you on occasion. Our disrespect comes from our need to dissociate. Its about a need for control. You like being your version of sober because it's a nice change that you feel in control. We like drinking heavily to control when we have that feeling. Everyone needs to dissociate sometimes, but I can understand that not controlling when that happens would give you a deeper appreciation of when you are in control.

Most shots are what like 2oz? Unless you were taking shots of beer, 20 in 30 minutes is lethal for small folk (provided it was shots of ever clear). Guess you're not small folk. Granted, I've also seen people chug bottles of Jack in under 2 minutes. Pretty sure they got hospitalized, but tomato tomato.

I had 3 mad elfs (11%) after 2 chocolate love child's (cocktail of cherry vodka (30%) mixed with a love stout (~8%)) on Friday night and I remember paying my check and then nothing until I woke up nakes Saturday morning in my girlfriends bed. My tolerance ain't what it used to be either haha

Some parts of america are just super uncultured. There's plenty of Greek places by me that serve lamb as their primary meat. My girlfriends family has it every year for Easter. It's certainly not a super common food choice, but it's absolutely available. Yeah I do a mundane task or two for 5 hours or so, take a lunch break and do more mundane things for 3 hours and I go home. It's great. Thank God for ipods though.

The only thing I like about my job is I only have to care 40 hours a week and then I go home and I don't care. But the money isn't substantial. My girlfriend has a great job with full paid medical benefits, free lunch and 3 weeks vacation but it stresses her out so much she compulsively checks her work email and cries a lot. But she makes like more than twice my salary. What a time to be alive.
