  1. i think i'm the 1st person with crafting as their #1 stat  84 by the way
  2. I was having a chat with one of my mates today about economics. Somewhere in the conversation an idea hit me, and I may have come up with an idea to solve 2 problems that plague the economy of runescape. -inflation, due to a lack of an effective money sink. -supply of raw materials I was thinking of a mini game much like temple trekking, except with ships moving along trade routes. ship building would be much like construction, expensive to train and a way to get money out of the economy. Ships would come in different sizes and classes, the bigger the ship the more expensive. The crews could either be ncps you hire, or other players (with players you could use the exact same system used for you're house, allow anyone to board, only friends, or just you're self). I also like the idea of being able to have joint ventures and partnerships, and this would work great for clans to. So now you have you're ship and crew, what now? The point of the game would be to sail to a port and buy goods from the locals, raw materials mostly (preferably materials not commonly high alched after processing, such as cowhides and gold ores). These materials would be rather cheap, allowing ship owners to merchant these wares and make a nice profit. However, like temple trekking, you face a dangerous trip both ways. Pirates, ship wrecks, and storms will try to sink your ship, and it's load of valuable cargo. fun, adventure, pofit, and money sink all in one  any idea if this could work?
  3. i just picked up my 10th armor drop from the barrows, veracks brassard, and i was thinking i might actually use the money to upgrade my equipment. right now i'm using mystic tob, bottoms, and boots, farseers, guthix cape and book, slayer staff, barrows gloves, glory, and life. packing rune plate/ legs, black d hide body/ legs, abbys whip for kill count. i safespot the brothers in the tunnels to. i was just wondering if swiching the mystic parts for ahrims top and legs with wizzard boots would be worth it.
  4. my first run was easy enough, just long and expensive. walked through mort myre. Used monk robes, fire blast, 5 p pots and..... had to make a second trip to get my spade.... had to make another trip for food (got confused in the tunnels for 30 min or so) got a nice 20k worth of runes though  ...and then i read leesters guide... house portal, tele tabs, myrque shortcut, safespots, slayer staff, blah blah blah point is, 8 drops DH great axe (2) AH robe bottoms (2) and a whole torags set to
  5. i haven't done this yet, but i had an idea a while ago. jester suit from fremmy isles + mud pies  i have to find out how to take a screen shot first though....
  6. if this change were put into runescape, slayer would be completely untrainable. ex. i'm assighned harpie bug swarms lvl 46, but i'm 95. i go to burthrope, get assigned bears lvl 21 i would be stuck on bears forever, because i'm to high lvled to kill them.
  7. I take the same stance as Rune User, rc pkers in some weird twisted way actually help us rcers. To the smart, prepared, and experienced rcer's they are an annoyance. After so many run in's with pkers we learn what to take and how to stay safe. To the unprepared, unexperienced, uninterested rc pkers are a reason to buy runes instead of make them. !!Story time!! I have a friend who is an avid fletcher and therefore does a lot of high alching. After he bought a few k nats off me, he started asking me how hard they were to make, easy of course. short story "friend dies" i died! did you wear d hide like i said? well... no, didn't wat to risk it "friend dies" i died! what happened? i got snared did you bring an ecto? took up space... ..and you get the point. the moral of the story is i have another perm buyer of nats.
  8. lol, mordren has the right idea. it's pretty hard to kill them, but it's easy to annoy/scare them.
  9. I have always liked crafting, it's my highest non combat stat and the skill that has been the second most profitable for me (right after rc). It's a lot less repetitive than most skills because of all the differentt methods of training available (glass, battle staffs, leather work, jewelry making). I also think it's one of the best skills for helping other players. At a high crafting lvl you can trade black and red hides for range sets, d stones for glories, and eventually onyx stones for fury's.
