Make the sun more of a circle, not an egg. Yeah, proportions, I suggest drawing him with a pencil and paper first and get everything down, then draw pixel. Make the black line(seperating the water from the sky) a color inbetween the sky and water color. shading, try some shading in the design.

I use photoshop cs, you can backup(undo) more than paint

USE A RULER, lol, make straight lines and such. hmmm, and when they say draw on paper first, I think they mean a sketch, like no colors, and stuff. but nice job tho, keep working

If you are talking like my SIG.... save as a .png *you can have shadows and blended images

I personally use Adobe Photoshop CS for all of my designs. CS is priced at around $400 or so tho, but I did find a site that sells it for $100, I got mine from there, the only problem is the lady you have to call to activate the program, she keeps putting you on hold(5 times for me). MSpaint is good for pixel sigs but you can only "undo" so much. Look around on http://www.download.com for some free designing programs. PS:The site I bought mine from for $100 is no longer running, uh oh. It was a fully leagal version, they just bought software in bundles, that way they could sell them for a cheaper price.

heh, um, *looks at watch, what type of SIG are you trying to make. You made(sorta) what would be called a photomanipulation (big word eh'). But this piece right here wouldnt sell for to much I would say. By the way, what program are you going to be using for SIGs. But to make a good design you should use some brushes or pencil for pixal art or something. Dont just cut out some characters and slap them on a background you copied. And keep practicing. Good luck.
