  1. Oh my gosh. Do people not know that they can use GOOGLE? Sheesh. Google Search: mp3 wma converter
  2. Personally, I would upgrade RAM. Get a 256mb stick and slap it in there. Your CPU could also use some upgrading, but if that's not possible, the extra RAM might help Runescape run a little smoother.
  3. Either someone doesn't know the difference between GB and MB, or it's a scam. Why would someone need a terabyte of storage for email? You wouldn't even need that much for a web server, unless you hosted tons of sites, or a huge site. Gmail gives over 2GB. It has far more advanced features than any web based email out there right now. And, it's free. I'm also giving out Gmail invites. If you want one, PM me.
  4. From what I've heard, ( I think it was slashdot ) such a version of Linux is being developed. I wish I could provide a link or something, but I think I lost the story.
  5. Well, make sure you ahve a good bit of RAM, a fast processor, and that you are not trying to run every program on your computer at once. A CPU and/or memory upgrade helps a lot. What I do sometimes is press CTRL + ALT + DEL and right click on whatever process is running Runescape (Runescape client, IE, Firefox, etc. For me it's Firefox) and mouse over 'Set Priority' and click 'Above Normal'. That will put more processing power to your browser, and less to other programs, but that shouldn't be a problem as long as you aren't running too many things at once.
  6. Thank you mementh, I was just about to mention WINE. Linux requires fewer system resources than Windows, so it's faster. It's far safer, and its FREE! This is why Linux is the best thing since frozen waffles.
  7. Ok, I see you're new, but PLEASE take a moment and read the forum titles. Runescape Clan Recruitment Centre kthxbye
  8. I think Jagex should add in something to make chatting while in a trade a bit easier. The main chat box should switch over to 'Trade Chat' where only you and the person you're trading with will see it. I've been in Varrock many a time trying to haggle a trade, and that has often been impossible with all the people there trying to trade. I also think they should come up with an easier way to go into a trade if the other person initiated it. It shows up in the chat window, and you can either click that message, or right click the person, but with 7 people on 1 tile, that can be a hassle, and the message can get lost very fast in all the message spam. Possibly an icon just above the chat window or something?
  9. How do you have issues if you play a lot of windows based games? A lot of big game developers don't develop games for Linux. Half Life 2, Counter Strike, Call of Duty, etc. aren't actively deployed on Linux. I still fail to see what the "problem" is with playing Windows based games. There is, of course, Wine, and for games, WineX, but still, they do not provide 100% compatibility. Now back on the subject. Don't get me wrong by my above comments, I LOVE Linux. There's just so much more you can do as far as server applications and development. I would reccommend Red Hat or Gentoo. Check out http://www.distrowatch.com/ for all the different distributions.
  10. If you still need help with this (i.e., if no one has PMed you yet) then PM me. I'm pretty fluent in PHP and I'm sure I can help you out.
