    Perhaps not him, but the score that he got compared with the rest of his team raises some suspicion within me.

     

    I've gotten scores like that. It's not hard with predator, harrier, chopper gunner and the right enemy team. If they're all content just to die over and over in their spawn its easy to rack up a lot of kills.

    I've just obtained tf2 on PC.

     

    It says "The server you are trying to connect to is running an older v-". What does this mean?

     

    Also, steam keeps saying it isn't installed correctly when it is.

     

    Right click on team fortress 2 in the games list and hit properties. go to local files and verify integrity of game cache. If that doesn't make it work i'd try uninstalling and reinstalling.

    you shot him in the blooming foot :S

     

    I think I had a screeny of when I shot a heavy in the head with an arrow, arrow was still there and he killed me. made a good "Death Camera Shot".

     

    As for Pyros, they can be effective in a defensive manner, mostly on 2fort with narrow corridors. as for Axtinguisher, I never use it due to the lag so I miss 90% of the time.

     

    For one huntsman sniping isnt really sniping, but regardless a good sniper who can headshot consistently can devastate a team by picking off medics and such.

    I was in game when someone got the 37th Golden Wrench. The amount of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" was enough to flood the server. D:

     

    I'd love one, but I know it'll never happen. However I did get a hat today. :D

    The amount of rage over the silly wrench is hilarious. The whole first page of the steam forums is about the stupid wrench and no one is talking about the new shotgun or what else this update will bring.

    Ah, because I've got a CPU from 2005, but I'm getting a video card that can run Crysis at highest settings. Could I run TF2 smoothly at at least medium settings?

     

    Tf2 is more cpu heavy, but a better graphics card definately helps. As long as you have a decent cpu you should be able to run it at low to medium though.

    Started playing again; I'm pretty suck right now, but I'm getting better every time I play. Picked up soldier within two rounds on 2fort and that's what I'm playing now. Never really thought about it before, but this game really suits me to a point.

    I'm more of a Medic/Engineer/Pyro

     

    Well most people have a really predictable movement pattern (or they're dumb and run right into your line of fire) and not to mention most players will always take the same path to wherever your team is. It's mostly about reacting before a] they start shooting or b] they notice you or c] they move past you and take you out from the side or behind. You're slow and your weapon takes ages to reload, so aim carefully. Also it's good to know when to switch to the shotgun - people who wait to reload their rockets in combat are silly; in the time it took you to do that, you could've switched to the shotgun and actually been of use to your team. I thought that was just basic instinct and common sense in all FPS games, team-based or not, but I guess I was wrong. The Direct Hit is apparently faster but it has a pretty big drawback of almost no splash so it probably wouldn't be so useful to me. I'll try it when I get it.

     

    Oh and yeah, if your connection latency is high (and by that, I mean above 150ms) you'd be better suited to playing another class anyway. Not that you can't play soldier still, but don't expect to be good at it. Personally, I found it to be the easiest class to pick up and so did most of my TF2-playing friends but yeah, the format of soldier isn't for everyone. Good that you play medic though, there's never ever enough of those; especially not when I need one.

     

    I'm one of the better medics as well, but the only pet peeve I have is if people whine constantly for a medic. I keep a priority list, and if I can't heal guy x for some reason, I can't heal him.

    People don't understand this, so they complain about me. Honestly, it just puts them down further on the list because I would rather heal someone that is not an idiot.

     

    I think i've posted this before, but this is one of the best soldier guides if you want to learn how to get better at the class.

    I'm borrowing my friend's acekard to try out the leaked version of HG and it's the full English version, like the entire American release one not a crappy port. It's great so far and I'm definitely getting it. I figured out how to get it to work on there too, you just have to update to Akaio 1.6 firmware, after that there's no crash.

     

    So is there a ROM out there or is this for flash cards?

    The game is a ROM in itself because the card is just a fancy emulator, but I'm not sure if the game works with a computer emulator for now.

     

    it worked on desume for me, it was just kinda slow. Haven't really played that much yet so not sure if it black screens at any point. Picking the real version up tomorrow anyway.

    Blaaaargh this sucks.

    Some friends were over the other weekend, and we wanted to play rock band. My friend takes the MW2 disk out, sets it down, and puts a couple scratches in the game. Now in a lot of online matches, it says the disk is unreadable. And just boots me from the game.

     

    If any of your friends have the game you can borrow it then install it to your hard drive. That way it just checks if the disc is in then runs it off the hard drive. I did the same thing with cod4 and i can play again now lol

    Dizzle, I had that problem, I've had 1 axtinguisher, 2 FaN, and 2 huntsman disappear from my backpack. Really annoyed me cause I really like them. In fact I am honestly tempted to idle to get them, then reset my statistics.

     

    Just idle in spec, then in the morning or whatever pick a team and kill yourself a few times, should get drops, then go back to spec.

    When you first install the skins start a game and play by yourself, as some servers play as sv_pure 1 which means that only the stock items will show. No idea why they do it, a lot of people hate it and will quit if they play on one of those servers.

     

     

    It would be quite easy to cheat by using custom models.

    How?

     

    Turn sniper clothes bright green, change uncloak sound to a very loud sound easily heard from across the map, etc.
