Hey guys, I'm having an issue here. I'm going to summarize it really quick, so here it goes. My parents broke up 6 years ago and my dad has gone on vacation many times without me and my brother and left us with my mom. So for the first time since 2004 my dad wants to take us to disney world in Florda (200 miles from my city). Meanwhile, my mom has taken my brother and I numerous times and I'm a bit sick of it. (Not spoiled, I've probably been there 7 times since). At the same time, I have 3 cats which require a feeding schedule and my dads brother with a condition where seizures occur at random (he is waiting for the 28th til he gets his medication). The problem is, my dad wants to drive 250+ miles away from my house with my brother, me, and my stepmom and leave my uncle with a brain condition alone at my dad's house, where my uncle has been living. He thinks my uncle can handle taking care of himself and 3 cats who require attention. Again, I really don't want to go since I'm tired of it and I'm concerned that my uncle can have a seizure while he's cooking or doing something important and have no one to help him. I've tried talking to my dad about how I feel but he's very hard headed and he returns my question with a question like... "I don't know Brandon, what if the sky falls down tomorrow?" he's really closed minded and I don't know what to do . Hell can break out here and we'll be 250 miles away. My dad's brother has already had an incident where he fell and required 20 stitches. So my question is, how would you guys try to convince my dad to let me stay the weekend? Thanks in advance.

Okay whats up? I had a question that I know I'm going to get many replies for and some are probably not going to really suit but anyway I had a question. To start out, I'm 16 in 10th grade but that's not the point my best friend's birthday is coming up in April now me being a guy and her being a girl, I was having some trouble thinking of what to get. The question is, if you were a girl, and you were my bestfriend while your birthday is coming up, what would you want from me? Now, I thought getting an iTouch would be good but I couldn't really find a way to make 200 Usd in a little bit less than two months. Now, hear me out, I'm not asking for money, but either a way to come up with it OR something that would be good to get. If you can think of anything, thanks in advance!

Anyone think they can give me some info?

Okay, well this is not about me, but to a friend that I used to know and moved about 200 miles from me that I write to on the internet. His scenario is about a girl that he likes so I'm going to just quote the letter he sent me and see if someone can reply. By the way, he's 18. He wrote: About a week ago I started going to a lounge that's close to where I live, the place is nice and everything, but that's not the point, lol. There is this very attractive girl that works there as a hostess, and she could be the prettiest girl I've seen in a very long time, at least here. She appears a little older than me. I notice she makes eye contact with me from time to time and she greets me. Again, that is her job- to be nice to people. I really want to start some kind of conversation with her to get to know her better and develop familiarity, ask her if she's single, would she like to go out sometime, etc. What I see extremely difficult here is that this is her work place, and I just don't know how to approach her, and when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Okay, if you want pictures, maybe it's possible. But as Laura mentioned, it's not going to help. The point is, she's a selfish golddigger. You guys want to be all quick to judge me, but you haven't lived with this nut for 5 weeks.

She's not showing you a lack of respect, she's finding it damn hard to assimilate into her new life and you're not making it any easier. No matter how she copes with it, by being annoying at times or whatever, it fundamentally cannot have been easy for her moving over here and trying to start a new life with an already established family. What would she have to do to make you like her? Because if it's do everything you want her to do then that's unreasonable. If you have issues with some of her actions then talk to her, calmly and respectfully like a man. If you start some petty [bleep] for tat thing when she does something you don't like then this clearly won't work. It doesn't take a genius to see that this is hard for you, and some issues like you've described are perfectly understandable. But try to see it from her point of view, and if she's being petty then rise above it. The way you're portraying yourself here is as some spoilt brat around the house who wants to have a [bleep] to try and get some sympathy. That's no way for a man to behave. She's not a woman that was raised by millionaire parents and now is marrying an impoverished man because of here love, she married the op's dad to up her financial standing. From what it looks like she is not planning an getting a job and is leaching of the family while op is being ignored. Thank you. I've been trying to get that out but couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Yes, she could of got a free cup of water. The point is she is trying to feel better than us in my opinion. Let me give another story. Let's say 3 weeks ago my neighbor who is actually fat and my dad wouldn't look at in that kind of way, called our house to ask if we wanted a box of pizza she ordered and my dad said sure. You can imagine this made her go nuts. "Oh omg, you're probably going to date her. Omg.. Etc..." For 5 minutes she just went crazy thinking my dad was going to cheat on her with my neighbor. So, 5 minutes later, me, my dad, and my brother walked next door and come back with a box of pizza. "Do you want a slice?" "No" this is just an example of how petty she is about my dad talking to ANY other woman. Don't say she's looking out since men cheat etc. My dad wouldn't cheat on her in the first place. My dad would be allowed to talk to another woman but this girl is just so jealous. I can't even talk about MY OWN mom in front of this girl without her going crazy and my dad having to say change the subject.

Because you're dependent on them for food and shelter? But I don't need to compromise with her. She doesn't do a damn thing except put her dirty feet all over the couch. I compromise with my dad but not her since she doesn't do vice versa.

Wow, I come home and there's a full page of posts. Anyway, I read them all and I thank Riku the most. I know I'm being a bit spoiled as Assassin put it. Anyway, there's no need for her to get a car. She has never drove before. Why now? My dad has his own car and she goes pretty much everywhere with him. The whole deal about the soda was we were at Mc Don Dons (McDonalds) and everyone got a cheap meal and no one got a drink, but then she busts out that she just has to have a sprite or she'll dry up and die. The point is she could of waited the extra 20 minutes considering she got the same damn thing as us. Then today we were in the Grocery store and we walked by the Pudding and I decided to get it. I told my dad and he said Yeah. He said to get 2 packs in case she wanted to eat some. Now, I know I'll get flamed for this but anyway, I only got one since I wanted the Pudding for ME. I don't get it, should I start buying my food to prove a point that it's for me and my brother? I don't know. Another thing. I made a typo. In October 2005 I was actually 10 still. I made a typo. If I wanted to get something in Publix for example and she was there and I started to tell my dad, she would go "Blah Blah" and it pisses me the hell off. Now, another thing. As I write this, I hear the damn Skype [cabbage] making a ton of noise but whatever. Last night I changed my dad's desktop background and when they came in the room to get on Google earth since I introduced them to it, my dad was like, "Oh Elena, you changed my Background it looks nice". And I say you know, somewhat loud but not rude "No, I did that" and real loud she mocks me "NO I DID THAT!" and I'm like thinking wtf? And my dad finally says you can't do that to me she does Blah Blah Blah with the hand opening and closing. Why should I attempt to compromise with her if she's going to disrespect me?

Yeah, pretty much a gold digger. Wants to buy everything under the sun and it pisses me off. My mom says "Oh, she's the one who finally said yes and she came to America.".

Couldn't have said it better myself. Also, I hate it when brothers 'own' their own food. Your father bought the groceries to share with everyone, what makes you think the icecream belonged to you? If you weren't in such a difficult time in your life I'd slug you in the back of the head. Don't be so hard on him. His parents (that's right she's your MOM now) are newly weds and probably have loud sex late into the night, directly above his bedroom. Nice way to try to help. And no, just for the record, she's not my mom. She's just a maid who lives here. That's how she portrays herself.

I appreciate all the replies and yes, I think I was over reacting. However, (I know I'm going to get argued with here). SHE is the one who moved here from another country and SHE is the one demanding that we go an buy an $ 800 camera. I mean she's the one who moved here. I remember when she was about to move here, I told my dad. "If she respects me and my privacy, I'll do the same" So far, she hasn't respected me. A few weeks ago, I get out of the shower in nothing but a towel. I walk to my bedroom and there she is cleaning. When clearly I told my dad I don't want her in there cleaning. Also, thanks l0rd.

Okay, you're not getting the point. She has rode in a car. The she made a big deal about the car when I opened it. Pretty much everyone I know think this is a [developmentally delayed]ed situation. I mean, she's talking at like 80 db in the room right now on some BS Skype conversation.

Ok well, this is a rather long story and I do apologize so, bear with me here. Let me try to make this as clear as possible. In 2004, I turned 9 in January. Right? Then in July of 2004, my parents got divorced and life was crazy for about 6 months. Then in October of 2005 I was 11. My dad's friend from the neighborhood told my dad about Russian Brides (Which is the most ridiculous thing in my book) and he started looking on the internet. From October 2005 til May of 2009 (Almost 4 years) my dad was dating 10,000 miles away (soo stupid). And this girl gets here after he talked to her for about a year... So, she gets here and life is a living hell. My dad's house (As a bachelor) wasn't the cleanest house in the world. It wasn't too bad. It just needed a good day of cleaning. But no, not for this psychotic lunatic. Her and my dad threw almost everything out in his closet and numerous other rooms. We pretty much filled the big green trash can up outside 3 times. The house was empty now. And it was pissing me off since I realized she has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). So, here's where it gets bad. We go to Publix. A grocery store in Florida. And we buy a ton of food. Mind you all she bought was freaking Tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and other crap that your average American looks at and thinks twice about. So, I buy some Ice Cream and Pudding and other fattening things. We get home and put all the food away. I eat some ice cream and my mom calls and asks if we wanted to go to her house for a few days and sure. Why not? I get home to my dad's house and I go to my room, and everything is re-arranged and put away in ways I didn't like. So, this made me mad. I go to my desk and the piece of wood that slide out that holds the keyboard and mouse was pushed into the desk and the track was jamming it. I asked my dad to help me and she sees him fixing it and she just laughs. so, I think she had something to do with it. I go to the freezer and the ice cream is pretty much empty and when my dad and her were in the kitchen I say "What happened to all my Ice cream?" And she says "O u c I eat" No, but really, with her accent and the lack of the English language, she says "I eat it". And that brought my piss to a boil... Another thing going on is that me and my brother each have a Go-kart since we have a 2 car garage. My dad has a bunch of work out stuff and a ton (literally hahaha..) of weights, since he's those type of guys that can't miss a day working out. And the other side is some old toys and the two go karts. And there happened to be a lot of room in between them and I've been wanting a dune buggy for a while so I offered to him if we can maybe sell one of the Go-Karts. And he says "Oh well, Elena wants to get a car and park it in the garage" EXCUSE ME!? I've been trying to pursue him to get me one for 2 years. And he says She wants to get a car... AND PARK IT IN THE GARAGE??? First of all, she can't even drive. She never drove a car in her life. This rant/advice topic is getting rather long so I guess I'll add a few more stories and that's it. So, another thing is that her and my dad used to communicate through Windows Live Messenger. So, now, they have a webcam and she talks to her mother for mostly 2 1/2 freaking hours a day and it pisses me off since that is my dad's computer and my brother and I each have a computer in there. So, most of the time, we're not even allowed to be in the room when she's blabbering online. Another thing. Yesterday, we go to visit my Grandma with my uncle, brother, dad and the foreigner since my grandma has cancer. We get there and the house is rather hot. So, they put the air conditioning on and it was still hot. Put it this way, it was hot but my after all my grandma is going through, I put up with it. We're all in one room taking about a doctor kind of thing for her and the foreigner and my brother are playing ping pong in the living room. So all of a sudden you hear her "Oh, is so hot". Mind you she said this about 4 times and wouldn't shut up. From there, we were going to go to a super sized walmart since my dad wanted to show her it. She wanted to "Get the hell out of my grandma's house and be an inconsiderate female-dog and go to walmart and be selfish all day". We get to walmart and we're all hungry except for her it seems. And there was a McDonalds inside the walmart (omg!!!11). But no, we had to browse most of the isles before we could go. So, we finally go and she is the only one who gets a sprite since she is selfish and doesn't understand the value of a dollar. She asks for no ice. So at that point I'm hoping they spit in her drink. But, no she got a cup instead to fill up. On the way home, I eat my food in the car and when I'm done (I was in the backseat) I had just a little bit of the dry part of the bum left and I opened the widow to throw it out and maybe the birds would get it. We're going about 65 mph on the turnpike and I open the window and she just has the biggest fit "Oh my ear why it hurt?" My dad tried to explain the pressure when you open the widow but that was too much for her tiny brain to process. It just feels like I don't have a say in anything anymore and this it just not normal. So, I hope you guy can think of something for me to keep my sanity.

I seem to have given up. I wish I still had the urge to play.

Ok, if this is the wrong section, shoot me or something. Anyway, tomorrow a public speech is due. I have to get up in front of my Language Arts class and talk about something for a whole 2 minutes and I'm not able to have notes. i have to basically tell a story. Like a current event.
