  8. I don't reccomend Macintosh. The prices are outragous. I've used Mac before and it's not as good as Windows. I know I'll get flamed for this post.. But I know in Vista, you get more 'bang' for your buck. The choice is yours, but I don't really thinkyou should make the switch. I would however aggree with someone who posted here about using Linux. Yes. It's free. All you need is a big disk (800+mb) and a CD burner. Just download the .ISO and pop in the disk, burn it and restart. Then all you have to do is follow the on screen instructions. Plus it's a nice OS. The choice is yours. -Maedie

In case you haven't noticed, or you already knew, but couldn't understand how to do it, you can connect your Wii to a wireless signal from a router and do many amazing things with that connection. For one, you can play many different online games. Two awesome ones are: Super Smash Brothers Brawl (a TIF favorite). And Mario Kart Wii. This is a very cool thing to have. If you want this, all you have to do is follow this guide and you too, can soon be Brawling or Racing other people from around the Globe :) . Table of contents: 1.0. Shopping list. 2.0. Setting up your router. 3.0. Connecting your Wii. 4.0 How it all works 1.0. Shopping list You need some fairly cheap things. You definitely need a wireless router. A router is not too expensive. A decent router is only about $40.00. You might notice that you can choose equipment that supports three different wireless networking technologies: 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. It's recommended than you get 802.11g, because it is compatible with almost everything. You the following if your router is not already set up: Wireless 802.11g router. Two Ethernet cables. Broadband Internet connection. 2.0. Setting up your router To set up your router you must first physically set it up. Unpack everything and place your router on a desk or wherever you like. Now, take one of your Ethernet cables and plug it into the jack in the wall. Now plug the other end of that cable into the WAN port of the router. Now take one end of another cord and plug it to the back of your computer. Take the other end and plug it into the LAN port of the router. Here is how is should look: Most routers today come with a set-up disk. Just put it in your drive, and it starts a wizard. Now, if it didn't come with a disk, you need to configure it. Go to your browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera...) and type in the following depending on your Router. I listed the access codes that you need to type below: Type in the You will get a message like this: Put in the user name and password code according to your router. You'll come up to a page that looks like this: Now, you Will have to contact your ISP (this is easy) and tell them you need to set up an account with them. This should only take a few minutes. Once you have that, you can ask them to walk you through it or you can just enter the user name and password. ***Make sure you store the User name and Password in a safe place! If your router is password protected, you will need to enter that in order to connect your Wii!*** 3.0. Connecting your Wii. All you need to do now is connect your Wii! Follow below and your soon the be having fun: On the Wii console's main menu, click on the 'Wii button' in the lower left corner. This will take you to the settings screen.
