  1. I actually really enjoy quests, although when I do end up going for a quest I usually end up reworking the Tip.It guide that goes with it to include maps where necessary and generally more pictures, particularly for the really old quests that haven't been changed in years.

I do them very slowly, once every few months or so. I don't usually work to get certain requirements because I like to train a little bit of everything. I just kinda let it happen and do what I feel up to. I do them when I feel like it, obviously that part is different for everyone.

  2. I'm confirming that this is a major problem... FireFox 2.0.0.6 here (this browser is danged flexible)...So whatever is going on is hitting everything.

I would recommend upgrading to the newest version of FireFox as it comes out. These releases always contain lots of bugfixes and security fixes that are designed to improve your browser experience significantly and it helps the internet move forward when people update their software. Just like how Jagex recently said in their Game Engine Q&A, when people use outdated software (they mentioned java specifically) it limits what they can do with the game engine. Similarly when a large percentage of users are still using outdated browsers like Mozilla 2.x and IE 5 and 6, it limits the features a website can pump out unless the website chooses to inconvenience those using older browsers. This is becoming a common practice. YouTube for the last while has been forcing users with old versions of their browser to upgrade so they could leave them behind and focus on those who want new, hip features.

  3. Could someone not just ask Jagex straight up?

You could catch someone on a good day lol

If it were that easy to get formulas for calculators, we'd definitely be taking advantage of this. Nobody at Jagex with access to these formulas would ever disclose them. The people who do have access hardly interact with the playerbase anyways.

The formulas you see on some of these calculators were developed by in house coders or through partner projects and had to be worked out manually as close as we could get them.

  4. So I unintentionally pulled an inb4the lock, inb4 the global mod and inb4 the admin on the Apology thread.

So either I type really scary fast, or the mods and admins don't.

Rather we were just tied up with other things when it was brought to our attention ;)

  5. Hi there,

This topic has been locked as Nexaduro has said. If an issue is outside of our forums, such as on the RSOF, this is simply not an area in our jurisdiction. You must deal with the moderators on the site where this is happening.

We will never endorse people planning or discussing this kind of intrusive behavior on our forums however, and if that exists somewhere please let us know by reporting the content. If it is a rogue user going about advertising, I'm afraid we cannot do much.

This topic is locked because it has nothing to do with roleplaying. We would appreciate it if this matter was not discussed in public any longer as it is just causing flame wars. If you have any questions or concerns please PM me directly.

  6. Hey there,

Because this guide is all over the place and doesn't abide by our regular standards, I will leave it for now. The Combat Guide is slated for a revamp in the near future and it will be "fixed" when that is released.

To clarify, our standard site-wide is to only silver out the table rows if it is a mix of members and nonmembers items in the table. If the entire table consists of members items, we simply put (Members Only) in the title to cover the entire section.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention regardless. :)

  7. Hey Juliet,

Welcome to Tip.It! I hope you enjoy yourself here. :)

We have an Introduction sticky in the RuneScape General Discussion forum which can be used to introduce yourself, rather than creating a new topic. This helps us cut down on the amount of topics that die down very quickly.

Please feel free to introduce yourself there and meet other newbies to the Tip.It Community. :)

    Cheers!
