I need something to get me interested in this again. Any suggestions? It's kinda weird though, I've got a mob farming trap, but doing everything else legit, but I still feel as if I'm cheating, which is what put me off before. :/

I'll agree. seems like it changed. I think the original durability was 66 blocks with a stone pick, so if you get more than that, it's increased.
