  1. I believe you mean the heir of
  2. No, orriginally an F-like, Norse rune called Ash, it was translated into the latin Æ but later lost it's title as a letter in most languages.
  3. I was talking about the letter Æ, you allready use the sound daily in bad, mad, sad, Chad, Tchad, rad, NORAD, ham, spam, cram, Bam, etc. Meh I suck at random RPing without a setting, annexing south Korea the -50% infrastructure way.
  4. I'm not sure, but it's non-military and only one country at a time.
  5. We aren't, we just used a quarter page agreeing on the fact that we agree. Since those islands are mine I'll try to annex north Korea.
  6. Possibly, in Scandinavian languages it is pronounced like the A in bad. Four times I know I've head "dream-precognition" once of me tossing a homemade javelin into a bush, twice playing Perfect World International (which came out at least a year after I had the dreams) and once of a school project. Other than that I frequently recall posts here while I'm writing them, this happens like once or twice a day. I never said the Saxons were Norse, I said they used runes based on Norse ones.
  7. Æ has no meaning, it's a letter, it's like saying Q means something, wait James Bond, same with M, A is a word... Let's just say it has the excact same meaning as Ä (had to go with the Swedish Æ since Å is to (do) and in both Swedish and Danish Ø/Ö is Island). Anyone else here who gets Déjà Vus at a daily basis?
  8. It doesn't seem like that's the solution that's winning. *points at poll* Anyways, multi-annexing just messes up the game for everyone else. Japan starts annexing those small Islands north of it.
  9. Armisonus: You arrive. (Please refrain from using a travell to a known planet an action, there's no fun in saying "You arrive" every tenth action.)
  10. Can we set a rule against annexing multiple countries at once?
  11. Earth: (10) You make one. +.2 exp.
  12. I just started by asking Doom (I think) how she though Æ was pronounced as it was in her country's sigil, then Dusty said it was a Saxon letter and I told him that it was of Norse origin (like most Saxon runes was at that time). The rune is . Also why is there a vote on banning Hex when he has done nothing bad here? A votekick should at least wait until he has gone against the game's rules.
  13. How does that even relate to the discussion on the origin of Æ?
  14. Rpg, this is a demo, a free version that makes people want the game, it's not illegal.
  15. Straight from wikipedia. The ash is a saxon letter. It's used in Norway, but it didn't originate from there. I didn't say it was Norwegian, I said it was of Norse origin, and Saxon was Norse too.
  16. You're spending 2.5 trillion developing cars? Correction, on a system of "cabs" that remove human error from the traffic, this should add to population growth by lowering the death count. Neat, I'm stuck between the two people I've always been allied with in hegemonies. 10 years for pod system?
  17. Anthem: Iron Man. 50% of IAC spent on the developement of autonymous, comunicating, electric pod-cars (like those "shown" on NatGeo chanell). Other 50% spent on infrastructure.
  18. I've said that already.. twice. It's just a non-pvp stealing creation.
  19. Retech, as usual you have my allegiance and support, and I shall strive for technologies that benefit both our countries.
  20. I'm not so much into half/um-developed countries and I want access to space, that leaves the US, Japan and Australia(I think) as the only ones not taken, considdering people wouldn't want me leading the country with the most reasearch capacity and that Australia's nature is [bleep]ed up enough without me trying to GM stuff that leaves only Japan. The Æ is a norse letter, it is commonly used in Scandinavia it sounds like the a in ash or bad and looks like æ when not capital. Here are some random words with it: Pære - pear Æt - heritage Trær - trees Skjærm - screen
  21. Lol, an Æ, do you even know how to pronounce it?
  22. It's a combination of phrases, it translates; Greetings, I am your lord, weakling.
  23. Those are Jaffa, but I was talking about the sentance I wrote in goa'uld on the previous page.
  24. Nope, I think Archi knows the difference between a skill and a minigame.
