I know, but I'm so poor at roleplaying that all of my characters end up with my personality, just with different aspects in focus (bravery in Håkon, brains in others (Mathias has neither in special focus because... well guess why I named him Mathias :P )). I will do my best to keep the hopeless romantic out of TAUROS though.

What happened?

Ok... I'd love to see that thing struggle with me if I had the Digital Fortress upgrade though, then I could actually make it drive itself mad.

Good... Am I still under the influence of the OI, and if so, could I communicate with it?

How about today, things don't get [bleep]ed up as bad as they did last session? Remember, none of us have gotten any upgrades apart from the free one yet.

Obviously it's for your own benefit, but doing something that is not in the best interest of your nation would obviously lead to dissent and possibly revolution. EDIT: Two things that just sound wrong OOC: I left my underwear in the kitchen. Part of my robe was stuck in the freezer. Hope I made you laugh. EDIT2: Two things that sound wrong IC and OOC: I prefer my showers at the same temperature as my tea. I am like a lobster, I enter the water brown (chocolate, russet or sepia, it's a bit hard to compare my arm to the screen) (yes, I tan very fast), I exit the water bright red (well, actually orange; bittersweet).

I'm not making personal attacks, I'm honest. What I have said about you is not how I think you are, it's how you are acting. If you feel that's not how you actually are, then I suggest you change the way you relay yourself.

Res, because of: 1. How you reacted when I tried to prevent you from taking the boats in H&H. 2. How you reacted when your nation was split in Hegemony. 3. How you reacted to being banned, or just deOPped at first on my server. The reason warfare can be banned in Hegemony but not combat in RuneScape is because in RuneScape, you are the hero, you are supposed to kill the "bad guys", while in Hegemony you're a ruler, you're supposed to keep your people safe, taking a life is a last resort option.

That was not an attack, I am just being honest with him, it's just the truth that seems cruel. He's screwed me over time after time, but after whining here after I banned him from my server, I decided I've forgiven him too many times, I will no longer look the other way. I now confront him so he can see how he really is and change, which he failed to do on his own. I am giving him the chance too few of you gave Hex.

The Back Room
Right there is proof of what I previously said, which I still stand by. Also, I take this chance to mention that you requested my alliance, or more begged for it. You are, and I say this with true words alone; an immature, inconsiderate, thoughtless, wannabe-manipulative crybaby. This is not intended as an insult, I am merely telling you how you are actually acting.

The Back Room
Yes, it would become less stable as it approaches Earth conditions, but that's obviously because it becomes more like Earth.

If you overcome the lack of water, then Venus would be a paradise for heat-resistant plants, due to the CO2 the temperature barely changes at all, you could also plant lichen in the permafrozen craters which contain ice. If not for the temperature and lack of oxygen, Venus would be a paradise.

The Back Room
Especially when the colonies are already using oxygen and nitrogen rich air to float. They're practically balloons floating above ground with people living in them. Planting vegetation would reverse the effect quite drastically since the air is almost pure fuel for them, resulting in the oxygen levels rising and the colonies very slowly landing. After that you just have to produce an inert gas to avoid simultaneous oxygen and CO2 poisoning.
-
The Back Room
Actually, no, Venus is among the top priorities for colonization. It used to be at the very top but now it's right after the moon and Mars.
-
The Back Room
Hehe, while you struggle with fine-tuning Europa, I'll just be making some flying colonies on Venus.

You get rid of the Zerg rush strategy and make the game more realistic for a modern setting.

I just got an idea, instead of a Hegemony with just increased focus on economy, there should be one where warfare is practically banned, like modern day (since all the wars going on at the moment are counter-terrorism wars). Here all warfare would be either technological (like the Space Race) or economical (trying to take over the market through funding and research for companies and driving your "enemies" bankrupt).

Companies do PO (Procurement Outsourcing), not governments.

The Back Room
True, but that only aplies to stuff you can carry. No one produces structures as you can't transport a bridge or building. Structures are buildt per order on site, and as far as I know, governments don't hire workers, they hire entrepeneurs. But when it comes to entrepeneurs, you don't just call then and tell them to do a job, you put out a request for tender and those that feel up to the job estimate the cost of doing the work and send it to you as a tender. Then what you do is to hire the one with the most lucrative tender.

Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
Mathias calls out for Grim to throw him one end of the rope and prepares to catch and attach it nearby.
-
The Back Room
I'm just saying how this works IRL: The government orders for example a bridge at a certain place, then companies place their tenders and the government chooses the one that's the most tempting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Request_for_tender

The Back Room
There shouldn't be difference in effects, only price and time, since when you put out a job you say what you want, then companies say they can do it for that price withing that timeframe. The structure will be no different, but the cost, speed and impact on future builds will.
-
The Back Room
It would be complicated for the GM, but could actually be less time consuming for the players as long as they get their numbers. The noticeable difference would be that suddenly warfare would no longer be the only thing that requires strategy.
-
The Back Room
That reminded me of something that would make the game even more realistic, at least for capitalistic nations: Upon deciding what is to be built, you them receive proposals by companies, each proposal would have three values; cost, chance of increased cost and timeframe. That way the game gets a more capitalistic touch which I think would make the game more fitting of the name, since it could also allow companies to receive hegemony on the market... Suddenly I want an economic Hegemony, one wherein war is as costly as it should be and nations can control the global market by hiring and funding companies rather than just spending their resources directly on theirselves like communists.

The Back Room
No I did not, at first I gave away the details needed to connect to the server saying that those in need of the game could contact me some other way, later I posted a link to a .txt file with a step-by-step guide on how to connect, a URL to a compressed folder containing the game and a more recent addon, the very simple rules. Am I not correct in assuming that linking to files of your own creation is fully legal as long as it is described what the contents of the files are and they do not have pornographic content and do not contain illegal or copyrighted material? What those files again link to however is out of Tip.It's jurisdiction.
