  1. Soma's gonna be very disappointed in you, he said 2 *hilts* not 2 sara swords :shame: Anyways, like I told you in-game...you're redefining 'leet' as 'leest' :D Keep it up!
  2. Umm Lee....you should've tested your godsword on the sergeants at bandos for your goblin task (yes it seems odd that the only master who assigns those lvl 140+ brutes is Turael, but it's true  ) Also....Soma might be in a little better mood the next time hilt drops are brought up with him :D
  3. "Both Sides Now" - Haley Westenra....she's not the original singer of that song but her version is the best...such an awesome song too. (couldn't be bothered to put up a link to youtube, but it's worth taking the time to listen to  )
  4. With using ice barrage against General Graardor, it's not going to be those looking to be the most cost efficient with their trip, it's going to be those who go for the most kills per trip regardless of gear/tactics. ;) But yes, you are right, ancient magicks would be extremely expensive and not suggested for those who are going to GWD more for the money aspect than the fun aspect of it.
  5. OK, time for some true words of wisdom as far as your money making goes... In the real world, the ones who are the most successful, are those who's 'jobs' involve them doing what they enjoy most. For instance, there are people who get paid minimum wage working at a fast food restaurant (which I'm assuming most don't do it for the enjoyment of it)...Then there are those who play golf year round and get paid MILLIONS for it! Granted you must be blessed with the talent if you want to become a professional athlete, but I'm using them as an example to relate it to Runescape. In Runescape, you can mine your own ore or chop your own logs for money (More work, less fun, less money in my opinion, yes I realize there are others who feel differently), or you could go to God Wars Dungeon and kill uber high level npcs that have 3 medium level security guards to protect them...and with you, and gwd, you have the talent to do so just like those professional athletes. :D Basically, you're talking like this is just more work to get what you want, similar to your whole party hat ordeal...but in reality, you're having *fun* and lots of it when you go on these adventures. Just think of it that way...You get to make all the money you want, while having fun with friends...and you actually thought about selling your party hat? and whipe away all those future stories you'd have at gwd? shame on you. So go kill those oversized ogres! Go send that psycho centaur shemale fairy princess thing to her grave! But most importantly, go have some fun. I've told all of my friends time and time again, making money isn't the hard part of rs, it's deciding what to do with it that gets me...but you already have that figured out so it's smooth sailing for you my friend. P.S. I was timing out so much when you were waiting for me at gwd because I had to finish this ;)
  6. In my opinion, it's hard to tell which method works best when only 2 people are present, because when soloing, you definately want some magic defense, so a 2 person setup could be similar to this. However, with 3+ people, range defense all the way works best. Similarly, a godsword works very poorly when soloing Commander Zilyana, but with a team of 3+ a godsword is your best option for melee. My advice to you would be to just try both methods (at least twice) and then stick with whichever you feel works best.
  7. My mistake, I read that as "I unlike you" versus "I like you"...and you're welcome for the rest of the info.
  8. alphakoldes, I don't think that anywhere in Soma's guide does it say for the tank to attack him and then click the ground...that would just be plain stupid since they could be adding extra damage and killing him faster. Also, the 'tank' should focus more on range defense, because not only is Graardor's second attack a ranged one (not magic), but Sergeant Grim[bleep]e is also a minion who's attacking you while you fight Graardor. So basically, range defense protects you from Graardor and Grim[bleep]e, whereas magic only protects you from Steelwill. P.S. - It is the people who aren't tanking that want to have higher magic defense, since they have protect from range on so the only 2 minions attacking them are Steelwill and Strongstack, and defense against Steelwill is more important than defense against Strongstack.
  9. There's a difference between reading the truth and reading lies...We are telling you the truth, and you are retaliating with lies. When we acknowledge this, you simply pull more lies out of your magic hat and then call us stupid for not reading your posts, when in fact we are. I give your guide an 8/10 for effort, 5/10 for quality, and 1/10 for being a complete jerk and moron.
  10. Ben, I'm gonna have to call you on your statement about your guide not changing since the beginning...for 2 reasons. 1. I remember reading one of *your* posts that says your guide is always changing and is not finished yet so don't assume it is... 2. I remember reading your guide a couple days ago, and it's not the same now as it was back then. Please stop trying to act like we're the enemies when you're going out of your way to make us look bad. Please stop posting on your own thread, you're making it more ridiculous than it already is.
  11. Ok Benjamin, what's easier to get kill count on....a group of 5 goblins with 3-16 hp, or a group of 3 lvl 47 hobgoblins that can actually do a little bit of damage to you before going in? You're wrong about hobgoblins being the best spot for bandos kc. Also, shards have a shop value of 100k, hilts are 300k I believe, so unless you bring 3 dragonfireshields or full crystal bows, good luck losing them when you die. I'll have to look into the value of the armours, but I know they are still moderately high. (But honestly, if you have full supplies still, why not kill a few more and just be careful about it?) And I knew what you meant when you said 'bump it out of the way' but I'm proving that maybe you should be the one thinking about what your posting versus telling us off on what are true criticisms. One last thing, I really don't care about Soma2035's guide or people reading his versus yours, I care about preventing disasters because someone read all they had to do to kill Commander Zilyana was just run up and hit her with a whip...at *best* this would get her hp down a bit and you'd end up teleporting, worst case you die. (unless of course you have 10+ people hitting her with a whip and only plan on killing her twice)
  12. Benjamin, I'm going to say that unless you've been to the boss, and the guide represents what *you* do each trip, you shouldn't post about it. I say this because listening to friends or watching videos or reading up on it doesn't give you near enough understanding of what it's like. So in my opinion you should leave Sara out entirely along with any of the soloing guides for any boss you have not yourself soloed. As far as the rest of your guide, antipoison is huge at K'ril, range defense isn't what's needed against Commander Zilyana, it's melee defense you're after (again I'd suggest just taking this portion out until you're 70+ agility), the best place to get killcount for Bandos is *not* hobgoblins to the north, You do not need to teleport if you get a rare drop that protects over your other stuff if you do in fact die (ie hilts, shards, bandos and armadyl armour depending on what valuables you have with you), bringing an amulet of fury is *not* risky, seeing as it would protect if you died according to your inventory...Lastly, I'm going to say that for anyone going with a team of more than 2 people, don't follow his inventories closely, you will need more brews and less shark if you want to make it a worthwhile trip. As far as your comment about geniusjoe, I don't quite understand how you can 'bump a guide out of the way'...because most people usually bump things when they want more people to see it... P.S. - you might want to mention somewhere that K'ril can hit up to 50 with his fury attack, which hits through prayer...might be helpful for players who've never been to him before.
  13. Also, be aware that Soma and I are still going to Sara GWD and I'm a fan of testing out new ideas that I think might work, so if we find anything that works like a charm, he'll improve his guide further :D
