The only reason real world trading is bad because the people who control the game THINK it's bad.* RuneScape is not a competitive game, nor does RWTing devalue any achievements. JaGex just didn't want other people to be making money off of their product, when if you think about it the RWTers never took any money *away* from JaGex, they simply got money that would've otherwise gone to Wal-Mart. In Fact, real world traders would've actually made JaGex more money had they allowed it because more people would've continued playing and paying.** But, as they are the ones in charge I don't have much of a say in it. Also realize I'm not here to say they should allow it, just saying that people are wrongly labeling RWTing as the enemy when the only true enemies were the autoers and credit card thieves. Another thing I would like to point out is that just because it's against a rule does not automatically make it a bad thing, because as my first sentence points out it's only against the rules because JaGex wanted it to be against the rules. *I am not including bots/macros in my statement because using a bot =/= real world trading. **I am not including credit card fraud in my statement because, again, it's a separate issue.

If thats the appeal you sent in its no wonder that they refused it (Word of advise-Insulting them is probably a bad idea, aru...) Yeah, that was a bad move. Also NEVER use abbreviations like "lol", spell to the best of your ability and use grammar when talking to Jagex. Let's face it, they hate immature kids and talking to them like your buddy and insulting them to appeal an offense is stupid. Be respectful next time and the outcome will be better. Yes because we all know how much automated messages hate being insulted...seriously he could've typed "My cat has r cookin potters and she licked it." and it would've had the same odds of being accepted or denied.

I don't think it can really be considered a sinkhole when the trading is done player to player, meaning no money is leaving the game.

A friend of mine and myself were looking at the fullscreen screenshot they had taken where the characters are in Ardougne and we noticed that the building layout was not the same, so it's very possible that they could have their own designated worlds...or perhaps they will just adjust things like that in the low and high detail modes as well - like a slight makeover for those who can't use the new detail mode.

And seeing as how he's pretty much oblivious to most things, that means it's ok. :)

VK adds 10% to accuracy and damage...so the difference in range attack bonus is nearly made up with the 10% accuracy increase, throw in 10% higher hits (even more with some enchanted bolts) and you get an overall higher average hit with VK...I would use it for all ranging I do if it had slightly better defense stats.

As someone on page 1 mentioned, as long as crackers are still in the game, partyhats cannot be considered discontinued.

Part of the blame lies with jagex, part of it with the buyers of the gold, and part of it with the sellers of the gold...but in the end each party had justifiable reasons to do what they did so that blame means nothing as far as I'm concerned. The game was changed, not much we can do about it, it's in the past, and no grudge will be held by me.

Unless you can find a way to implant brain cells into those players who are calling you various things with little to know logic behind them, all you can do is ignore them or try and talk to them which 99% of the time will just lead to more name calling.

Hmm...does anyone else agree with this thinking, that new players cannot complete the game 100% (due to holiday items), or do you think that everyone should be able to get 100%, no matter when they joined? THERE IS NO COMPLETING THE GAME!...So how can we think that new players can or cannot complete the game when there is none? :wall:

Junk trading is practical, logical, not wrong in any way...as long as JaGex fails to fix their broken machine.

If you know for a fact the Christmas Cracker is the rarest, then how the hell can you have a hunch it's NOT the Christmas Cracker? :wall: That's like saying "I know I'm right, but I think I'm wrong."

Junk trading = unbalanced trading, unbalanced trading = way to real world trade, real world trade = the reason JaGex played Extreme Makeover: RuneScape Edition. Junk trading goes against what they changed the game to be, thus they don't like it. As Adam has already stated, they should make prices of the GE adjust based on OFFERS and not off transactions...if they did that then most of the GE's problems would be solved. Perhaps the next game JaGex decides to play should be Are You Smarter Than A Fourth Grader?...

JaGex doesn't like junk trading, but they can't really do anything about it because they lack logic when it comes to most problems they are faced with.

For those who think that they should put in some sort of gauge to show how far you are in the game...that would completely go against their intentions and purpose of the game. RuneScape is suppose to be a game that has no definite ending or can be completed or beaten.

In my opinion, completing the game 100% would just be doing everything possible in it - meaning getting each skill to the required level to do the highest thing in that skill (75 wc, 85 mining, 83 hunter, etc). On top of getting all the skills to a point where you can do everything skill-wise, completing all minigames (including champs challenge ;)), killing every boss, getting every major drop, exploring the entire map, getting a complete music list, finish every quest/mini quest. Personally I think that whole 200m xp in every skill is required to complete the game 100% is plain stupid...just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to in order to complete the game, otherwise let's throw in that you have to get every single drop in the game and every single treasure trail reward and stand on every single tile possible in the game and talk to every single npc there is to talk to...Getting 95 fletching (9m xp?) is literally no different than 200m xp.

JaGex + business plan = flawed is a false statement because the fact is, it works. As long as people keep paying them to play their silly game then it doesn't matter what the hell they do with it.

Riots in RuneScape are pointless because it would be nearly impossible to get enough people participating in the riot to even have a slight impact on what JaGex thinks. Rioting for a significant change in rs would be equivalent to a global riot for world peace....it's just not going to happen - mainly because many people are satisfied with the product/service they are receiving and although they may prefer it to be better, it's still acceptable the way it is. As for the "everyone hates jagex" part...I'd have to say that only a small percentage actually hate them, instead most just think they are idiots and there's a major difference between hating someone and thinking they're stupid.

One can go to a library and get the same education as going to a university, but going to a university builds relationships with other people whereas a library does not (excluding the librarian since the kb doesn't have one to talk to XD).

I could write up a response that covers every single aspect of this top and bottom proving/showing/illustrating (whatever you feel like calling it) that it's not a bug and/or unethical...but as long as the name 'Madmanpur3' is to the left of the post, you guys will simply ignore any and all logic within it. So instead I'll just give up, quit the losing cause...there's obviously no point in me trying to convince communist Russia to become a democracy.

That's not the definition of a bug, not even close...Also in my above post, Tip.It's quest guides provide an unfair advantage to those who do quests normally and the way they were intended to be done...

Bodito, that probably hasn't been mentioned because that wasn't a hidden update, jagex told us about that change when they made it. :?

one of the special hits is an automatic 5-15 magic hit...the other hit is the players normal hit that he'd hit with the sword (this can be higher than 40).
