  1. This struck me as odd, yesterday. I was just making my way to barrows and someone was saying that his friend got a guthans warspear. But anyway, I just thought..."hmm, can you poison them?" And I don't think you can...so why not? We can poison other spears. Im not trying to rant about it, so don't flame me, I was just suggesting it. What do you think?
  2. Well, you get the general idea. :P I was only suggesting what some things would be used. I took Dark Bow out, people were moaning about how people could take you kill.. :wall: Ok well, whenever I go there, rangers usually kill in the east room. That's just personal preferance... Once you get enough experience you can change things around abit and do things your way. This guide isnt meant to be used as a Bible, I just wanted to give some helpful information to new members who may want to try them out. 8-) Sorry about me getting annoyed, It was 11pm and I was feeling abit cranky... It's just the way people have worded their 'constructive critisism' seemed a little bit harsh.
  3. Geez! Don't be so mean to him. At least he's trying to help others out... It does need a little improvement/expansion, but I guess sometimes you get short and sweet. :P
  4. For heavens sake... do people here try to be as mean as possible?! 1. OK, I read somewhere thast your rope could snap. I mean, so-rry! But you don't have to be so arrogant.. 2. I've taken Dark Bow out, and no, people can't take your kill when you attack with Dark Bow... don't argue with me, somebody came to Fire Giants earlier and I couldn't attack, just to prove you point. 3. Sorry about the >/< thing...I didn't realise. EDITED! Happy now?
  5. This is my second guide, I hope you like it. :anxious: NOTE- sorry about picture quality! EDITED. FIRE GIANTSby Humus Race: Giant Level: 86 Hitpoints: 111 DROPS: Gold: 15-3000 100%: Big Bones Weapons: Fire battlestaff, Steel axe, Rune battleaxe, Rune scimitar, Rune spear, Rune javlin(5), Addy javelin(20), Rune 2h, Dragon spear. For this guide, the requirements are- Tree Gnome Village (quest) Monkey Madness (quest) or have a whip. Waterfall Quest Recommended: 60defence 60range 70stength/attack and have these three items- 1- Glarial's Amulet (needed to get in) 2- Rope to get across. Here are my stats- Not that great, huh? But I can get some pretty decent xp from ranging them. First of all, getting there. Start off at The Grand Tree, there is a bank there. follow the red line untill you reach the house with the quest symbol on. Board the raft, like you did in the Waterfall Quest. After boarding the raft it crashes on a small mudbank. Use one of your ropes on the big rock just south, on another little island. Now you characture will throw the rope onto the rock and swim across. Now use one of your ropes on the dead tree infront. Now you are by a door, just like in the quest. Walk through the door. Now you are here: Okay, If you want to range them I would suggest the room straight north, if you are melee'ing, go to the west room. My range outfit- Head- Archer Helm> Robin Hood Hat> Karils Neck- Glory Amulet/ Fury/ Obsidian Necklace Body- Dhidebody/ Spined/ 3rd Age/ Karils Legs- Dhidechaps/spined>3rd age/ Karils Boots- Rune Boots/ Ranger Boots/ Boots of Lightness Gloves- RFD Gloves/ Coloured Gloves Ring- Ring of Wealth/ Ring of Life/ Ring of Recoil Weapon- MSB/ MLB/ Seercull/ Darts/ Knives/ Karils Xbow Cape- God Capes/ Obsidian Cape/ Coloured capes Arrows- Bronze to Dragon The arrows are if you are using a bow NOTE! I only wear rune boots because at first they are aggressive! It only gives like-1 or 2 on range attack and helps alot with defence! Bring better boots for when they stop being aggressive! Melee outfit- Head- Beserker> Warrior> Helm of Neitzot(sp?)> Any metal helm Neck- Glory/ Fury/ Obsidian Necklace/ Strength Amulet/ Gnome Amulet Body- Rune Body/ Dragon Chain/ Barrows/ 3rd Age Legs- Rune legs or skirt/ Dragon legs or skirt/ Barrows/ 3rd Age Boots- Rune Boots/ Boots of Lightness Gloves- RFD Gloves/ Coloured Gloves Ring- Ring of Wealth/ Ring of Life/ Ring of Recoil Weapon- Whip/ Dragon Scimmy/ Dragon Battleaxe> Dragon Hally Sheild- Rune Kite or sq/ Dragon sq/ 3rd Age/ Obsidian Sheild Cape- God Capes/ Obsidian Cape/ Coloured capes If you wanted to use a Dragon Hally, you should just use the range techniques. RANGING Start off going to the north room. Stand here: Once they stop being aggressive you can move onto this spot: But you don't have to, you may want to stay by the doors, where you can get away quickly. MELEE'ING If you want to kill these brutes with melee, it is alot more simple. It is recommended you kill Fire Giants in west room when doing melee, so go in and bash 'em around, pretty easy! I hope you enjoyed my guide for killing Fire Giants. CREDITS.. Me! Tip.it for some images. Read my Duel Arena guide here!- http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=666320

  8. Wow, you have great stats! And congrats on 99! What will be next? :ohnoes:
  9. It's a game. I myself hate cruelty to animals, and if you want to donate, donate to peta.com ^^more videos there too. But It's only a game and its 13+. You shouldn't wory about it so much, wory about the real things in life. :
  10. Sorry! :( I tried my best... I'll edit the title.
  11. Okay, this is my first guide so dont be too harsh! :P First of all: -GETTING THERE- That picture shows the whole of the duel arena, to get here you need to be a member, as with all minigames. There are different ways of getting to the arena, one of them is the ring of dueling. To make one of these you will need 1 gold bar, 1 emerald and a ring mold. To make the ring first use the gold bar on a furnace, a box will apear, click on the picture of an emerald ring and you will make an emerald ring. To make this into a dueling ring you will need to enchant it, enchanting this ring will require 27 magic. You will need 3 air runes or an air staff and 1 cosmic rune. When enchanted the ring will be called a dueling ring, to tele port to the arena simply rub the ring in your inventory or weild it and operate it. There will be two options to chose from- Duel Arena or CastleWars Now, were not exactly gonna click on CastleWars, thats not what this guide is about, heheh. When you have teleported you will be here: Now, you dont have to use a ring of dueling to get here, you could also come here using the lumbridge home teleport- (doesnt require any runes) then walk east to a bridge, walk across and follow the path, along the path you will come to a gate guarded by 4 guards, 2 on each side. You will have to pay 10gp to get past or you will get past free if you have completed Prince Ali Rescue (also, if you forgot your money you can just kill a few goblins in the area for the money), now walk up the north path and you will find yourself at the arena. -THE FEATURES- That is the main building of the arena, when entering the area around the building a sign of an axe will apear in the bottom right of your playing screen (Here), this means that when right clicking on a player there is the option "challenge". When clicking this option you will send a request to the player asking them to duel. More info on this part will be shown later in the guide. In the building is where many of the requests take place. There are a few doctors and nurses that can heal you here and also there is an alter where you can rechage your prayer points. There is also a bank here at the arena. -THE FIGHTS- The way that you can challenge another player has been clearly stated in the features section previously. When challenging another player he/she can accept the offer, when done this screen will apear- Now, it's split into two groups: STAKING (putting a bet of money or items in) and FUNNING (fighting other people for fun or xp) So, okay, if I were you and I had just got members and I was trying out lots of things and I decided to try the dueling arena I would first have a go at funning, just to get the feel of things and how the arena works. Later on, you may decide to stake some items, first start off at staking 5k or so in items or cash then if you win you may want to start staking more money or items worth more money. This is alot like the wilderness except for the fact that whenever you duel you will only be attacking one person and also the big fact that if you lose against your opponent and you had staked an item(s) or money you will only lose the things you staked, not the things you used for the fight. With funning you will not lose anything, maybe you just want xp or maybe just the experience and knowledge about runescape that you may want. But anyway, back to the rules: on the picture of the challenge screen there are different buttons that you can cross/tick. Tick whichever you want for you duel, now i will go through what happens when you tick them: No Ranged: Kinda obvious, huh? Ticking this means that no range is to be used in the fight. No Melee: Same as above but with melee instead of range^ No Magic: Thats right, you guessed it... No Sp. Atk: No special attacks to be used in the fight. Fun Weapons: Only flowers/holiday items are to be used. No Forfeit: Explained later on. otherside- No Drinks: No potions or coctales etc.. No Food: No food is to be eaten, so no healing basicaly. No Prayer: No prayer to be used in the fight. No Movement: Explained in a sec Obstacles: Same as above NO MOVEMENT- Usually in a fight when nobody ticks this option you will apear in the arena once you have accepted your opponents offerr or they have a accepted yours you will both apear in defferent parts of the arena, e.g- 8 spaces away or whatever (its random) and you have to both run to eachother unless you are maging or ranging. With no movement ticked it means that you will both apear right next to each other so that you can fight straight away. OBSTACLES- When ticking this option you will apear in a different arena bit. With broken walls etc etc around you, this may be good for a Mage vs Melee or Range vs Melee. FORFEITING- When in a fight you can go to the East or West side of the arena and click on a manhole thing. A little option thing comes up and asks you if your sure, click "Yes" if you are sure or click "No" if you accidently click it or maybe you just changed your mind. STAKING- If you want to stack some crap or whatever you need to do it when the challenge screen comes up, the item or money you want to stake has to be in your inventory at the time, right click on the item or money you want to stake and click stake 1 or 5 or 10 or x, however many you want. Here is a picture to explain- Well, there isnt much else to say really, this is the end of my guide. I hope you liked it! Im just gonna List some tips and extra info here. TIPS AND EXTRA INFO! -When staking you cant use the item you staked in the fight. remember that! -Alot of the time when there are fights between 2 melee'ers they will tick no movement, this is always good. -When you have accpted a request from another player you will be teleported into the arena, you will automaticaly count down to 1 from 3 outloud, when you reach one you will call out "GO!", your opponent wil too, you cannot attack the other player untill you both automatically shout "GO!" -Sometimes people use a full set of the barrows armour: Veracs in duels because of the sets special attack (hitting through protection prayers) -For an easy win try requesting a duel with a player with your combat level, that way the duel is more fair. There are other things to learn about the Duel Arena but in this guide I have written down the important things that you need to know. CREDITS: Me! (for obvious reasons :D) Thats it, please pm me if you have something i need to change or something you would like to submit and i will credit you in the previous section! Thanks For Reading , ~Humus
  12. You might want to also mention that some people may want to take strange fruits, (super)energy pots or any other run energy-restoring items. (if you ahve already got that, and I havent noticed, sorry ) Apart from that I don't see anything wrong with the guide! I would deffinately get the fruits over herbs.. :P
