Generally fire bolting steel dragons is profitable, even without dragon drops. Steel dragons drop ALOT of rune items, which can be alched or kept. They also drop lots of rune projectiles which are stackable and the knives and darts sell for a fairly steady 1-2k each. Steel dragons are excellent magic experience and the dragon drops are added extras. They also drop clues which can sometimes wield great rewards. If you choose to mage steel dragons you will probably find you will be breaking even at the LEAST. I would have killed about 1k Steel dragons in my time and have always made profits from one drop or another. Hope i was of help. Weeman.
