Hello. I'm here to complain about Tip.It's clan chat. IT used to be ok, but now that it's public, spammers are there by the handful, with not enough people with kicking ability. Also, flaming wars are starting, and what used to be quite a pleasant chat is now almost unbearable. :wall: :evil: Anyway, could a mod, admin, or some other Tip.It staff please bring this to the attention of whoever owns the tipitchat account? we need more moderators ( a LOT more), and more enforced rules on the flaming and spamming. I hate not being able to do anything except ask them to stop, and then add the spammer to my ignore list. It's getting out of hand, and I'm sure most of you agree. Please support and bump this thread! Thanks,

Hey all! I have a quick membership credit question. Does only logging into free worlds for a day take away a credit towards your membership? I'd like to not waste mine, but at least go as f2p when i cant get on for long... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S. Does logging into the site for polls/management also count towards it?

all depends on if you're f2p or p2p :P I'll give my opinion on both. However, don't say you haven't been warned that I'm not exactly a combat expert, was a skiller for most of my career. These are based on my own experiences. For f2p, Varrock sewers aren't bad xp at all... nor are Minotaur's in the stronghold. You might need to bring a little bit of food with you if you plan of training for a long time in there, though. I haven't trained combat in f2p in a long time, so sorry that help isn't that in depth... For p2p, there are tons of different options. A good idea would be (obviously) to work on slayer assignments, which has good experience usually. You might want to consider the Tip.It beastary (did i spell that right?). I wish I could give more advice, but I have to go :P Pm me on the forums or in game for more advice, or if you would like a training partner!

Fishing ftw :P A quick suggestion: Ive had many people tell me that staying up very late staring at a computer screen is horrible for your eyes, so might I suggest that you a) don't stay up all night, or ever try to, or at least B) take short breaks. I'm not trying to disuade you from your goals, but I hate seeing people ruin their eyes over a game, as personaly, I'd rather have good eyesight for the rest of my life than 99 fishing, which ill forget about in 10 years. To find out where he could get one, our hero stood in the bank, asking everyone he could "Do you know where I can find a fishing rod, please?". He thought that if maybe he was polite, it might work better. Man, was he wrong. After asking people for over 40 minutes, our hero was starting to feel disheartened. Then, it happened. Somebody offered to trade with him. 'Sure, why not?' Our hero asked himself. Once the trade got going, he saw that the other person had offered him a fishing rod and 50 good sets of bait. "For free?" He asked. "Yes, but you have to promise to stop begging" The mysterious trader responded. Our hero didn't understand. He wasn't begging, only asking for advice. He still had a lot to learn in this vast new land, and social interaction was a bigger part than he expected.

Welcome to Kaosmerchant's Tip.It blog! I've just started this, so any comments or help would be greatly appreciated on content and how I can improve it. First off, Who is Kaosmerchant? Kaosmerchant is me, of course! I don't know exactly when my account was created, but I'm guessing around November 2005. I have quit twice, only to come back both times. The longest quit was for about 3-4 months, and I just got back. Kaosmerchant has been, and unless major things change, will always be a free to play member. What are my main goals? Right now, I am working on a couple things. In fact, as i write this, I am accomplishing one of my greatest ones so far; 700 total level! Below is a current picture of my stats. A bank screenie will be coming soon. Current individual stat goals: attack 41/41 strength 47/50 defense 40/40 range 30/40 prayer 28/40 magic 40/40 runecrafting 51/50 hit points 43/43 crafting 40/40 mining 57/60 smithing 50/50 fishing 53/55 cooking 53/55 firemaking 55/80? woodcutting 65/70 cash 775k/1m The goals I am really buckling down on right now are firemaking and woodcutting. Don't ask why, I have just found that firemaking is very easy to train, and is quite relaxing. I haven't focused on combat in forever, and don't plan on it (except for magic, but thats for alching!) Right now, I can be found at the Rimmington willows, chopping and burning like a madman =p. Come give me a visit! (probably world 50, just cuz.) I'd love the company. Great xp too! What I need: Because I'm really trying to get my firemaking lv up, any logs (preferably willows or maples) are awesome! I'd def. burn them! But what I'd like even more is some company in lonely old Rimmy! It gets boring here without somebody to talk to, believe it or not! Give ol' Kaosmerchant a visit one of these days PLEASE!! There's plenty of trees if you want to train with me ! Any support for my goals would b greatly appreciated! ok, I'm going to bed now. ok, I'll consider that. It's not a huge, need it fixed now problem, just a slight inconvenience when I want to do certain things. If anybody else has any thoughts to put foreward, they would be greatly appreciated! Blade995, thanks a lot for the input!

It's the graphics card that came with the computer... and I don't think my parents would appreciate me opening up the computer :P How would I find out if it was overheating, and if it is, how can that be fixed? thanks the for the help -kaosmerchant :thumbsup:

Yeah I've done everything with directX. You might be right about he graphics card, but I don't see how that would happen, as this computer is from christmas (2005 or 2006, i can't remember.. but still pretty new). overheating would'nt be good, but I don't think that's the problem because of how specific the problem is to the program running. P.S. I've also tryed changing the refreash rate for directX, so that's not a solution.

hey guys. I've been having a problem with my directx (i tihnk). Whenever there is a full screen directx or other related software use, my computer screen will go completly black, then start fading in blotchy white, untill the entire things white, then back to black, etc. I ran a system diagnostics check (for directx) and everything worked except for the fullscreen directx display. Known programs not to work: startup (I use XP, and when it has that innitial logo nd loading bars, the screen acts up. once i get to user log in, it's fine) Frets on Fire (I know its written in python... works on other computer, and its not even in full screen!) A lot of CD computer games (EA works fine, Age of Empires doesnt... cant think of any other examples right now, but they're out there) I have tried updating all the drivers 3 different ways, but so far nothing has worked. Googling it doesnt yeild anything useful, so I'm stuck. Any suggestions? I'll give you any info I can, if you can tell me what you need and how i can find it. Thanks a lot, -Kaosmerchant
