Whats the so good about the BoL?

It must be pretty easy to skill nowdays I would imagine, with little competition on most worlds?

Logged in today for first time in 6 months, obviously so much has changed, barely recognise the game. Why are the player numbers so low for F2P worlds, most were 150? Also has anything interesting happened in the past 6 months?

Hey, in my bios when I start up there was an option called core unlocker and I accidentally pressed a button to do it. What does this actually do and will it boost my PCs performance. I spoke to someone who said it wouldnt as I didnt have 3 cores or something. League play is great, finally a good way to find a good team if your friends arent online.

I get charged £5 for every time I go 5GB over my limit, which is a joke. Especially if I go say 6 GB over, I get charged 10 quid. Living in rural areas is better than the city, if you arent on fibre optic as the speeds are literally up to 5x faster.

I would not say today's speeds are such a universal thing; for example much the UK is yet to have access to fibre optic broadband and therefore are stuck at like 10mb/s max over phone lines and your lucky if you can actually get that speed or even half of it. I certainly find the need to prebuffer youtube videos or face them random pausing when it plays faster than it loads. (Admittedly I do watch in HD wherever possible, but still) Thats not quite true, there is BT infinity in parts of London (not sure where else). But yeah wow 120GB/month nice, I only have 40GB and its shared between 2-3 people, so we go over sometimes. Nightmare situation is when large patches come out for games and steam sales are that great either as I will have to wait to download the games. Anyway as there doesnt seem to be much difference, I will just stream as it doesnt take space up on the hard drive.

Sorry forgot to post back, firefox is definitely running better thanks, still sometimes stops responding but less than before. Because of that I havent yet been bothered to uninstall. I dont think you can do that hardware acceleration thing on the new firefox, I couldnt find it. Also I am guessing it would have side effects?

Hey, this may seem like a stupid question but what takes up more internet data streaming a TV program or downloading it, providing they are the same length, quality etc? I have an internet cap, so I would like to use up the least amount of data as possible. Thanks

Yep, just came back to it. Started playing the Frostfall mod recently which is pretty cool. However I get bored pretty easily of it, so I doubt I will be playing it for long. Still havent completed Dawnguard.

Firefox seems to still persist with not responding though when I open a new window? I cant think of any other reason for it then it might be a bug or faulty version? I am going to try reinstalling it to see if it helps. Another thing I downloaded an annoying add on called Top Arcade Hits, i have successful removed most of it by looking it up online. But people say there are still registrys for it which you need to remove. What is a registry? And how do I remove them for Top Arcade Hits?

As an extra note, do that without wiping your download/browsing history. Also, don't lose your bookmarks. ;) BTW, Miner_Guy, there are a few extra tweaks that might help speed it back up a little, but it would help to know your system specs. :) Side Note: Currently running 45 extensions here, no continuous slowness during browsing. In fact, my browser extension loadout might be called a near-impossibility. :D ~D. V. "The Crazy Firefox User" Devnull I cleared the cache (it had 350mb of data in it before) and it is running faster however it still persists with not responding when I open my first page although it fixes itself in 5 seconds (much quicker than before) but its still annoying and shouldnt be doing that. It might just be something to do with my version, a reinstall might fix it? Or what else do you guys think?

Hey, my firefox is running so slow these days and I want to know how to make it speed up and go back to normal. I have been using it on this PC for 2 years. Everytime I open it up it always stops responding for 30 secs whenever I open up the first web page and is just generally slow. I dont run any add ons and I dont have any viruses etc Any ideas how to speed it up? I am thinking of reinstalling it but keeping my cookies and passwords as I dont want to lose them but would that make a difference? Or any other ideas? Thanks

Best thing so far is definitely the news about SW BF, been waiting for it for a long time. Was thinking a while back Dice would be perfect for it, so that has worked out well. Esepcially as it seemed at one point BF would never come. The BF4 video looked amazing, although most of it looked how BF3 should have been but o well. AC looks ridiculous, they have turned it into a naval game so why not just make a completely new franchise?

Full scan hasnt removed it. It might fix it if I went into the security settings and checked what privileges it has, but I cant remember how to do that. Any other suggestions?

The same problem happens for both Chrome and Internet Explorer, so it isnt just something to do with firefox. Would running a full scan instead of a short scan help? EDIT: Just downloaded Ad blocker and it seems to have blocked the adverts, the space for them still appears and the writing 'ads not by this site' but they dont actually appear. Great thanks but it would be great if I could get the thing completely off my PC as well. Cheers

The picture shows 1. The pop up window with an advert, sometimes it says I need to install flash and 2. The adverts on the side of Youtube but arent actually from Youtube (this happens on most websites not just Youtube, just giving an example). Also sometimes if there is writing, it will underline it and if I hover on it, it will show a market advert.

I ran a quick scan and I removed the stuff it found, but the problem still persists.

Hey, just gone on my Dad's laptop, he doesnt really know how to use a PC and has installed some programs by accident. I have uninstalled most of them but there is this one (or maybe two) which cause adverts to come up on every site which arent from the site themselves and another one which sometimes cause a ne window to come up saying I need to install flash player. I am pretty sure they come from a program. Like on Youtube, random ads will come up on the sides everytime I watch a video. I have gone into control panel, into uninstall and remove programs and I am pretty sure the program isnt there and I dont think its in add ons either for firefox. Anyone know how I can remove it? Hey, as many of you probably know there is a SW sale on atm for PC. Just wondering whether battlefront 2 is worth it, I had it on ps2 and thought it was amazing but that was years ago. So if I got it now it would just be for the MP, also are there any mods?

Ye it isnt frequent enough to warrant the purchase. Might sound like a stupid question, but do I already have the surge protector built into my PC?

Hey, tonight i have had multiple power failures in my house, for 3 of them I was on the PC and for 1 I was on Battlefield. Anyway is there anything i need to do now (power for my house is stable) for my PC? Or is it fine?

It must be a bit related though as it only happens when the icon freezes. I think it started after i bridged my wireless connection to the PS2 and then unbridged it, although i might have installed a program at that time, i cant remember

Hey, i have Windows 7 and the network icon (the icon in the bottom right of the screen) is acting weirdly. Firstly it displays the wrong icon, the sun which means there are connections available and im not connected even though I am connected. Then sometimes the icon freezes on the circle going round and round which means you are connecting, when it does that i cant click on it or access the internet and when i try and log off or turn off my PC it wont do it, it just displays "shutting down" but wont actually shut down. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I think they said they wont up the 64 player servers for PC. I wonder how big they will make naval combat or whether it will just be for SP
