You missed where ACK tunneling only has a point when your computer is already infected. Firewalls can block everything. That wouldn't stop people from downloading trojans from IMs or EMail.

You are more likely to get help on a forum dedicated to your distro. However, I've never had good experiences with fglrx...no games or comp managers worked for me until I just got an nVidia card.

The next time it freezes, open your Java Console. To open the Console, right-click the Java system tray icon (next to your clock) and select "open console" (or something like that). If there are any errors in the console, please post them.

Ack tunneling allows a cracker to contact trojans already installed on a system. They will not install malware. Further, they only work on badly configured firewalls which allow ACK passthrough. If ACK tunneling is being used, the computer has already been compromised. Try reading my post next time.

The best way would be to learn C++, for OpenGL's native bindings. Though to start with, you could use PyOpenGL to learn about OpenGL. NeHe's tutorials are an excellent resource for learning OpenGL.

There is no Firefox 5.0, only Firefox 1.5. Also, try using Microsoft's Java instead of Sun Java (wasn't that what stopped sound from working?)
