I just made a new layer, and started drawing over the most important lines with a 1 pix pencil tool.. When that was done I deleted the first layer witht he original drawing on it, and started refining the lines.. Good to see there are people entering :D

Not really, I was referring to the black as in the black lines used everywhere. I should have stated that mroe clearly I guess. I also ment, chance the hair staff, the huge black area to another colour,make it like fur, or whatever you want.. Its not a rule, but more of a tip ;) White, no, no backgrounds, thats not needed ;)

Well, as some may have seen, I recently drew some sort of dragonish creature, well, its head at least.. I scanned it, and make lineart out it it. Your task, is to colour this head as realistic as possible. Change the black, give it some colour, give it some texture, give it some life ;) Here it is: And heres the original drawing, so you have a reference when shading ;) I will pay out the 2 best that I see amongst them with the following prizes: 1st place: 200k and a set of Rune (Plate, legs, large, kite) 2nd place: 150k I know its not alot, and big sig comps make more cash, but this is also a nice practice.. And its something different for a change ;) I will post pointers and such to the entries that are made. So, lets get going people. :D

Well, Ill just tell ya that you need to clean up your lines mate.. Not to start about human anatomy, shadowing, and such :P

Yes, you're right, people here at the forums seem to hav a preferation for pixelart, for quite a while now.. There are alot really bad attempts at it, but there are some that make nice pixel art, but the prices are quite high.. Im pretty sure though you can get quite a few costumers with that 3d work of yours.

The last example you gave is not correct. That are not brushed sigs.. Those are abstract.. Brushed sigs are sig made with the brush tool, and can be anything, wether it be a landscape, some characters, something abstract.. Look at zonorhc (sorry ;) ) work. He makes brushed sigs. Oh, and you asked about burn. Burn is just a tool in photoshop, and other programs similar to photoshop, that is used to darken area's with a nice effect.

I have to say, your 3d art looks great. The drone sortof thing really caught my eye, looks amazing. Im rpetty sure you can get 300k for your work easily..

Any colour preferations? Or just the same as now? Perhaps a layout it has to fit in?

Heh, thanks for the comments guys... Peksa is right there, this has nothing to do with the way Jagex does things, as they model it in 3d, I only took a screenshot, and edited it with the pencil tool.. Big difference there.. Thanks for the compliment though ;) Its not really supposed to be powerful armour, just intimidating.. I can definitly see why this armour wouldnt be practical at all, but as said, thats not what its made for ;)

Yup, sounds fishy.. Perhaps let a mod validate this, give the cash and item prizes to a mod here, and let them handle the payout.. Securing the comp..

Thanks, you are right about the lighting, I didnt really think of shading properly according to one lightsource >.< I will have a go at animation the last one, bt that is gonna take a butload of time though :P

Made another one in school today, another mutant :P Had quite a bit of time as I had 2 tests today, but 3 hours inbetween em, god I hate the peson who thought of that scedule >.< Well, anyhoo, heres the latest one: 13 colours used, Im trying to limit myself with colours and get a just as nice effect as I normally would.. It turned out pretty nice I think. Oh, and muscled mutants have [bleep]ers too you know :P Had to say that before anyone commented on it :P

Well, I had a pretty boring class a couple days ago, and I drew this. I decided to do some non related pixeling for fun. I think it turned out quite nice, and the next thing Im probably trying is a fighter sprite, they seem pretty fun. Its sort of a crab-human thingie. or thingiemabob as nadril likes to call things :P Yes, computer class bores me, :P *scroll down for the latest one :P
