does that mean you now have a pixel program which has layer? cause otherwise i suggest graphics gale, a free program, kinda like an upgraded paint, with layers and a great palette system. just incase i think he means he used ps7. you do it the same as u would in paint (pencil tool) but only u use the layers 2 make it 100 times easier. if u dont like the bg, u delete it, and so forth. Actually, psp7 ;) But its pretty much the same.. I have graphics gale, somewhere, though :P I never really tried it out.. Landesher, looking nice so far, just a couple tips. Get a bit of colour variation in it, look at my character, it has 3 main colours in the armour, gold, light blue and dark blue. The contrast needs to be upped a bit too, as the armour is metal, it has quite a bit of contrast.. By changing those 2 things, I think it will look quite a bit closer to mine :) Oh, and this is for everyone, Im changing the topics idea, into a pixel challenge/practice.. Everyone can partain in this, and Ill just give tips to everyone.

No, definatly not.. But all I was saying is that it shouldnt be classified as pixelart.. Its nice, but it just isnt pixel. Oh, and just a tip, your sig is over the limits, looking at its length.

Since when is using brushes defined as pixel art..? Quite some people do it, and frankly, alot of times, the work doesnt get better because of it.. Brushing in a pixel sig is like take the easy way out... Just my opinion..

It actually is too big.. Max is 30kb.. Yours is 32kb.. Tip it doesnt change your sig for nothing..

Alright, I didnt make the axe really shiny, because it would possibly distract the view from the main scene.. But ill edit it a bit.. Ill fix up the hole too, I thought it was a nice lil thing, but oh well. *Edit* Here ya go: Better? :)

Yes, this warrior was indeed made in paint, I wanted to try it out for some time :P Didnt really like it, I missed the layer functions I am used to :lol:

Fixed it up a bit.. Hope this is any better? Tried to fix the hands, theyre a bit better id say, but not perfect.. Changed the rope.. Looks a bit more like rope now, hopefully :P Edited the wheels, the holes actually look like holes now :P Detailed a part of the floor a bit more, and edited some fine details of the wall/floor in the corner.. Edited the tree a bit, some darker spots in there now.. Added a mice-hole and a spidy :P Oh, and I changed his hair.. :) Thanks Tttia :)

Well, I made this warrior guy some tiem ago, but never got around to finishing it.. I first wanted to choose someone t make the background, sell it off, and split the cash 50/50, but many people wanted to partain in this, so I decided to let them all have a go, and change it into a pixel practice. So, if you want to join in on this, Make up a background, and possibly add something to the foreground, do whatever you like with it, but the tricky part is, try to keep as close to the style of the warrior as possible. I made a couple of drawings as a small idea in the background, but I totally dont mind if you think up something of your own, infact, its better to do that ;) Here it is with some small doodles as background: And here it is with a complete white bg..

As I said in my first post here, I already started this idea, and I lateron browsed through the entries, and found out yours had some similarities.. If you dont believe me, I can always scan in my original sketch on paper :P A magic bow is quite a bit different then a catapult though :P Although I do understand your concerns.. Lets hear what laxation has to say about it..

It isnt drawn in paint.. Everything I do is done in Psp.. Basicly because of the great zoom and layer functions it has.. I wouldnt be able to work without layer :shock:

Theres my entry, I hope you like it.. If you didnt get the idea.. He has just cut a tree, and wants to make a catapult, as its an advanced ranged weapon, and because fletching is about making ranged weapons and stuff, he wants to go big :P I could adjust it so it makes kinda fun of him, like he ordered a Buil-Your-Own-Catapult-Box, and doesnt know what do to.. Thats basicly adding the box of the thing.. Meh, that must've sounded pretty confusing.. Anywaaay, anything you would want me to change? Oh, and its sampled, AND oversized, so yeah... *edit* Fixed the arms anyway,

Yes, indeed it is, but it wouldnt look like it does in this sig.. Id say get rid of those stars on the planet, and work it out a bit more.. The idea is nice, but it neds more detail. Try making a nebula.. Or something..
