Thanks for the comments everyone. I choose these colours, because green stands for freshness, as the thing my mate is starting will be a 'young company', get the connection..? I know these colours do not relate to a phoenix at all, but does it have to? In my opinion, the colours dont have to relate to the name, although its a nice extra, its not required.. Thanks for your opinions though, I appreciate it.. Ill work on the form of the feathers a bit, perhaps Ill come up with a bit different idea, who knows..

No, as he said, he made it in Ps7, which means, Photoshop 7.. Psp7 is paintshop pro 7.. That same effect can be achieved in psp too, for all it matters though.. Nice sig you have there, seen a tutorial once about making pure photoshop abstracts.. Ask nadril, lol he tried it, in a pure ps battle against dan and..(someone who's name I forgot) and nadril got owned pretty hard, right nad ;) *ahum* Sorry for the flashback, let me stick on topic.. The sig could use a bit more colour, it looks a bit monotone right now..Get some variation. Pretty nice sig overall..

Well, my mate suddenly decided he wanted something simpler as the bird I was making, so I did. I dont really mind that he changes ideas often, more work for me, heehee. I quite fond of this one, and so is he, so Im building a layout around it. My mate already liked the first one, but I thought it needed something more, so I added another colour, wont be used much in the layout, its mainly there to add a bit of diversity, a bit of colour contrast. Also adjusted the line of text a bit, seems better this way.. The colours you see in the logo will be the main colours for the layout, except for the blue, its will be used as a sort of pop out colour..To accent certain parts.. Finished most of my exams for this period right now, only a couple easy-as-pie ones to go, so I basicly got a nice bit of free time right now ;) Helpful comments like last time are appreciated. Oh, about the last logo, I did not finish it, as my mate all of the sudden wanted something more simple, but luckily I didnt have much time at all to have worked on it, so I didnt, so not much work was wasted :P I might just still finish the phoenix illustration, but it will be such a thing to do 'when I feel like it'.

Looks pretty good, although the colour of the girls hair should be used a bit more, make her blend a bit better. Still a pretty nice job though.

Great sigs man, as usual.. I know you might be quite busy, doing sigs and stuff :P But I might as well try and request one, right? Id like it to be in the Punk theme.. Id like you to use this picture in it, which is the leadsinger of green day. Try to use the red of his tie and the green shades used in that image.. It would be nice if there would be something against bush in it, or something like the washed out american flag as in the videoclip of American Idiot, the flag which is the same as the background of the image I posted.. And ofcourse a nice dose of your brushing magic ;) Text, DementedHero, and Green day as subtext, or perhaps anti bush, if you decide to go with the anti bush theme.. Just tell me if you have no time or are just to lazy to do it, its ok, I can understand :P

To do what nad said: Go to Layers>Duplicate Effect>Blur>guassian blur Go to Layers>Properties And select the dropdown menu that says blend mode. Choose soft light there.. Voila.. Oh, and you really need to anti alias your fonts, they look horrible not anti aliassed..

Sig 1, definatly.. Way more soothing, the second one is too busy, and the colour transitions are poor..The background of number 2 isnt very appealing neither..

Thanks Yeah, as Ryan noted too, its a bit too much together, 1 piece.. Ill get another design for the tail, and Ill add extended loose flames.. Dont expect anything tomorrow, got exams coming up.. Have to study.. Might be able to work on it on sunday, or at latest monday.. Most time taking part will be the resketching on paper.. Helps me to egt my options straight :P

Well, I thought it was time for me to put a portfolio online.. I've been working on this for 2 days on and off, and I like what I have now.. Menu buttons have rollovers, the blue colour changes to the brightest green. Any comments on this?

Thanks guys :) Im not too happy with it myself, mainly the shape of the head as I explained earlier.. But I cant work on it anymore, I sprayed some stuff on it to keep it intact, so it doesnt blur and stuff, but this also means I can't work on it anymore..

Made this drawing on vacation in Denmark about a year ago.. I hadnt scanned it before, and decided to do it now.. I was pretty happy with it back then, but right now, I see some errors, but mainly fundemental ones, ones I coulnt fix without doing huge parts again.. Like the form of the head, the face should be a bit longer, and the neck should me a bit thinner.. Well, I just wanted to post it anyway.. Oh, inspired by the song "Highway To Hell' - ACDC Time spent on it: Well, lets just say it kept me busy for a while ;) I spent alot of time drawing on that vacation.. Drew a couple landscapes too, inspired by Denmark, Denmark is beautiful.

I cant be bothered to do one, but heres my idea if anyone wnats to use it, go ahead.. Have the character in a big swing, full use of muscles. Around her, trees, with cuts in it, like the top is seperated from the rest, like the girl has just made a huge swing, really fast, so the trees had no time to fall down yet.. Perhaps an ent inbetween it, also chopped off.. Just an idea, kinda sloppy, but youll have to think of the details yourself ;)

Its looked like a pretty awesome render but some nice brushing, and it also reminded me of a shrunken down wallpaper for a reason :roll: So, Im offa this post, sorry again N 4 K, but I hate rippers..

Thanks for the comments people. The layout he is holding is just a sloppy sketch right now, will be replaced with the actual layout of the site.. I had the biggest trouble with the tail, I couldnt get a good look out of it, this was the best out of my sketches.. Will try something similar to this, a bit mroe feather defined curly tail, as I drew in school today. I like the glow idea, but as said, it wouldnt be printed.. But it would be useable for just the layout, as mercifull suggested, and an altered b-w and/or normal coloured version for print.. Im gonna make a post soon with a couple of logo designs I made for my mate, I have a couple more, but theyre mainly text based logo's. Thanks for the helpful comments guys, this is really helping me :)

Made this illustration of a Phoenix holding a weblayout, I had a couple new idea's for the FenixDesign logo, and heres one that my mate liked the best.. He wanted it kinda firefox style.. Still working on the text..
