I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that slayer DOES increase your chance of rare drops? Possibly the KB article on slayer..

Better than nothing... the odds of you getting an ely or divine are much higher so it's not bad luck. It's average luck.. you could have gone dry too... Yeahh, well I only had ~7m LSP, and there where higher's in the room, plus my first sigil :P

Thats insane, but exactly what I'm talking about, even though its fairly rare I've come VERY close to 3 hitting Graardor, and thats without berserker ring/nezzy/bcp/firecape

It seems like the good old 'D Hally' has quite limited use, it's slow but powerful, although slower and less powerful than a Godsword. However, I have found using the Halberd as a Special Attack weapon to be simply amazing, for solo Bandos, TD's and basically any melee boss.. Reasons for this? It has the highest possible damage (over 1000 LP on large creatures) and is quite accurate (usually dealing 400+ damage) Heck, it can eve be used on Corp for FULL damage, many times i have received over 400xp, even up to 600 xp for a special on it. So why is it think the Halberd is such a low price/rarely used over over, more expensive counterparts?

Yeah, i just about never miss a whip hit, I've watched plenty of guide, and have put everything into practice.. but i can still only manage 3 more kills than i would with sharks :roll:

Okay, so the problem is I can get a MAXIMUM of 7 kills, at Solo Bandos, using Overloads and Sara brews. Thats 5 brews per kill, using a tort I use; Torag helm Zammorak d'hide top Verac skirt, Bandos boots, Fury, Barrows gloves, Warrior ring Whip + Obby shield/Rune defender (rune defender seems to work better) Soulwars Cape I time my overloads (6 whip hits before it boosts) but he always seems to spam range 2-3x every time it boosts <_< So is there something I'm not doing right? Or is it just that Turmoil+soulsplit would double the kills i get? Edit: I think i might just be INCREDIBLY unlucky... I was winning 1/4 kills against a lvl 129 with 88 attack, on super potions..

I'm about the same and i start doing max complexity at floor 20 (50 dungeoneering) you could probably start at 22 or 23 maybe

Oh so just the first 6 floors?

Okay, so i know the basis of rushing (do the first so many rooms on complexity 1 for ease) BUT, herein lies the problem, I cannot turn off guide mode.. and every new floor the complexity goes up another notch. is there any way to make it stay on 1?

Does anyone find they tank alot at random tank bosses like Corp? Just there now.. and i can't even last 2 kills on sharks <_< died 3x overloading 12 man team..

I would imagine it works, but the logout method works much better :P

Thanks! This worked absolutely beautifully (i could do 10 overloads per log-out, or 5 when i had to refill tort)

Is there any way to prolong the effect of the boost? Getting the +4 i need for Overloads is being a right pain..

Haha oh don't get me started on that! I had a break for a few months, at start sold my bank for a mask set watched the prices while i was away.. went DOWN then slowly back up Came back and sold masks for what i got them for... that was 100m >_< Edit: Ohh and i've never EVER had a guthan spear from barrows.. at least 2 of everything else

I would have prefered LS, but was low on cash and didnt want to try my luck 'cashing in' LSP, and as it worked out we had a 6 man Elysian split, first kill for the team :P And for Slyph, I'm about 5 Garg tasks without a maul.. but the last task i DID get a maul, I actually got 3.. also never had a mystic drop from them haha, also 3 mage tasks dry.. and in 2 Abby Demons tasks I've had I got one whip lol

Nice! My best loot from a drop party was Zamorak Platelegs.. But my most memorable was a rune longsword way back in classic ;) and long before i could use it haha

It seems that in our favourite RNG based game Luck is the main thing that keeps a lot of us going. From the illusive Divine sigil, to things as measly as a D med.. the excitement of getting the harder to get items is certainly something that keeps me, and I'm sure, many other people playing. Now, the thing this Thread is about, is how often these drops, or these moments of luck (doesn't have to be from hunting) come about, is it fairly consistent for you? Where X kills will grant you with Y drop, or (as it seems for me) your drops are bunched up, followed by long dry streaks, or are you just unlucky all together? Doings hundreds or thousands of kills just for, say, an Abyssal Whip. Another thing that seems appropriate to your luck, is, when fighting certain bosses do you find yourself using more supplies than your team-mates? Such as Corporeal Beast and Kree'ara, where there is no designated 'tank' Personally I am currently in a dry streak, easily 100 Solo Bandos since my last item (shard or better), about 400 kills since my last pair of Dragon Claws from Tormented Demons, and last but not least, a ratio of more than 2000/1 when comparing Sigils to Kills at the Corporeal Beast, the last of which being a CS split.. over 600 kills ago. So, share your experiences of extreme luck/dry streaks, and hopefully give me more motivation to keep on Killing. :wink:

Ohh i didn't know that between the obby/BSS, so thankyou i think i might ditch the BSS now lol.. Thanks to everyone else, I'll do a bit more testing on the subject, but will deffinately take a swap for Duo FFA

Solo bandos.. Surely one has an advantage over the other?

I plan to, was just wondering if anyone has any previous knowledge in the matter :P

I tend to do alot of solo Bandos, but have only ever used a BSS or DFS.. Would it be more practical to use a Rune Defender instead for the accuracy bonus? I'm using Barrows for defence, not bandos.

If you want to kill them, unblock them, they aren't fast xp unless you have extremes, but they can have nice drops :)
