There's no option to run s Administrator :???: I'm using Vista Premium sp2... only option to run it is the 'install' or 'open with' but I don't think anything there would help.. I haven't ever downloaded the client, so I'm winging this. Is the install an icon on your desktop? Nope, It's in my downloads folder... I've moved it around to see if anything would change but alas nothing.. Off-topic: You might be interested in the new client, apparently it installs to over 300MB which means no browser required! :shock:

they already said there wont be an update next week because we already got it this week. also: So this means we get 2 updates next month instead of 2 this month? If so, then I am disappoint.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me to install the new Runescape client? When i try to install it says it cannot because it doesn't have sufficient privileges, although this is the only use account on my computer, and i have full permissions.. Is there anything i can do to get it to work?

The person responsible for the staff was very lazy, so he/she decided "i will just make the bottom of the staff, and combine it with a Saradomin sword". Must say out of the all things, this graphical look is the most annoying. Variety in items look should be important, otherwise they could just release a yellow battlestaff and call it "Staff of light". Very true, it's also rather confusing why they would make staves with the same melee stats as a dragon weapon.. when i want to mage, i'll use a staff! when i want to melee i'll use a sword!

10 Slayer levels to go :( lol is it just me or might the staff be another Iceyene weapon like the sara sword? The similarities are obvious, and it's only dropped by the 'ice' Strykewyrms.. Very good update though :D

I have read it through a few times, and NEVER did they say that gems, rune javelins or keys where rare items, in fact, they didn't state what are on the rare items list, just that some have very rare drops (visages/ godsword pieces) Also notice that the phrase 'Very Rare' has the word 'Rare' in it, which thus proves that visages and hilts are in fact rare drops, which means, that instead of your nothing drops, there is a CHANCE you will recieve something of this nature. So please don't flame me for using some logic, as it is obvious from my original post that i have read the ROW article, and I, unlike yourself, actually understood it. I've soloed bandos easily 500+ times, using ROW about half the time, the times i didn't i got 4-5 "nothing" drops.. if i had used a ROW maybe i could have had more bandos items/hilts. Also, if you read through it, it says all monsters have a specific 'Rare Drop' table, which is shared by most creatures, however items such as the Draconic Visage and Godsword pieces are an a 'Very Rare' drop table, the post never stated that they aren't affected by ROW, just that you wont get either of them from something that cant drop it. So about this 'Very Rare' drop table, for the unique items, it seems logical that it would progress something like this; Normal drops -> Rare drops -> Very Rare drops So with this logic, you have to roll on the Rare drops table before you can get to the Very Rare drops, and therefore, because the ring of wealth nullifies the chance of a 'nothing' drop on the Rare table, you'll have more of a chance of getting onto the Very Rare table, and at the same time a decent drop :) Also they said there are groupings of 'Rare drops', monsters with common drop tables.. so if we start grouping up the main ones we get; Slayer Creatures Non-Slayer Creatures God wars bosses Other bosses That should cover most creatures with a drop table out there. Now then, lets say my average drop ratio from solo Bandos is 1/50 (it's actually less than this :P) this means that on average every 50 kills i get onto the Very Rare drop table and get a Godwars specific item using the process above. Some may say 'no they are common drops' well I say, Actually, as the Bosses are higher leveled, and designed for groups of people to kill, they have more 'Rare' slots on the normal drop table, and more 'Very Rare' drops on the rare table, which would ncrease the frequencies of getting their monster specific drops. In the end it's all upto personal preferences, some people want to hit that extra damage every now and then, some want to hit a little more accurately.. and some, like me, want to get more good drops, instead of getting nothing :P Edit: As someone stated before, why would Jagex make something thats useless? especially something that is fairly high leveled..

But... it's so addictive! I should know personally not to PVP, as I have lost more than my fair share of Godswords to it lol, but eh, it's the only part of the game that really excites me now lol Apart from the new content every other month.

I said VIRTUALLY none of, meaning the MAJORITY If you compare Melee you get bronze and iron with no stat reqs Mage get basic mage robes and a plain staff Range get basic leather, hard leather, studded leather When you put this into perspective. Most rangers, especially in dangerous situations use black d hide to avoid major lose via arm and karil. Green d'hide only needs a mere 40 range to use, yet (as shown here) is only 10 - 15 defence points worse than black; which for higher levels is nothing. and equally range attack only halves, which isn't tht huge a leap Compare this to the gap to that of the statless/low end mage/melee armour and its "safe" but high end counterparts and you're looking at defence and attack bonus tripling and quadrupling at the very least. So as I said IMO the issue is you can hybrid with range armour (with decent stats) far too easily. Oh okay, that's true, i don't see why someone with 70+ Range would use green though, Range armour is the cheapest compared to the most common melee/mage armours (Mystic and Rune, both 200k or so for a set) i guess thats why Rangers get called welfarers more often, and actually succeed way more than someone welfaring mage/melee lol

Ahh i see where i got mixed up there! Thanks for that. Hopefully the next Zaros quests aren't too far away, it's all quite interesting :D

I'm pretty I've heard Zaros named as the God of Death? being Then Empty Lord simply refers to this, when you are dead, you are empty. This can also explain why many of the mortals in Runescape fear Zaros and think he is evil, also because he controlled all of the Majarrhat(s) who are generally evil creatures. Maybe it's even possible that Zaros came from the same dimension as the Majarrhat, he is the only god before Zamorak to ever control them so it makes sense that he came from the same dimensions as them, and could also explain why he is so much more powerful than the gods of our dimension (excluding Guthix). These ae justmy thoughts, I haven't read much of the Lore of Runescape, so if anything here is proven wrong I'm sorry haha :P

In my experience Pking is usualy about luck more than anything (assuming there are no Claw PJer's, you're not fighitng agains Dharoks or a Godsword). In the last few days i have died and killed people randomly as a break from runecrafting ( RC) Deaths: One death, me in full veracs, whip, fury fire cape etc, target was same level, wearing rune whip defender and what not. I got hit 36, then 31 after, which has never happened to me wearing rune lol, neither of us where using vengeance. - GF me. Many times I've had my opponent eat twice, which involved me getting Claw jumped, and dieing A few times I've been Killed from 60+ HP, yet called a safer when i eat at 40... Just today i was fighting against an AGS, and i got called a safer for eating at 45.. even though any lvl 116 can hit in the low 50's with a godsword... Kills: Most of my kills are from a lucky special with my DDS lol, some guy flaming me for safing offered a rematch and i killed him with a 26-26 spec Killed a guy in full statius, i had no food, he probably had 5+, veng hit for 26 i hit for 36.. luck much? but yeah.. i dunno what the point of my post is actually lol, just to show how random PVP in Runescape really is i guess Also most of my Veng's for the day where triggered by under 5 damage :wall:
