  1. Edit ^^ beat me to it. oldie but deffinately good, gf my bank though
  2. I had this problem before, go and talk to the girls again, they might give you anoher drone ( i had 2 for some reason) and make sure you dont skip out of the dialog
  3. It's quicker to just type rs into the google toolbar, or if googles your home page into that. Try typing 'runescape' into your browser and hitting ctr+enter, it will be much faster than googling it ;)
  4. I think what needs to be done, is at the start of the month Jagex announces the updates AND everything that will go with them. This would reduce hype and complaints when updates are delayed Also if they put in detail exactly what went wrong with something, which would only be possible if they announced everything in the update, players may be more sympathetic, and thus nerd rage less. what do you guys think?
  5. Got a lvl 3 Clue from Tormented demons. Clues where either uri emotes, or puzzle boxes, with only one step being a box search (bandit camp) Reward was Rune full helm, Rune platebody, 12 Lobsters, 18 Mahogany planks and a Guthix full helm. sorry no pics
  6. Ahh, jug of water wouldn't work :/ thanks guys!
  7. Collecting herbs or collecting blue dragon scales maybe?
  8. So i have a part mud pie (base with compost in it) and the cooking guide says i need clay and water for it. trouble is nothing happens when i use either of these on the pie (soft and dry clay tried) How do i make it?
  9. Awesome! If you find any more of the new 3a or trimmed dragon post that please :D or trimmed fury!
  10. Ornament kits! For trimming Dragon :D i wonder if the new stuff will look any good downside - once its trimmed you cant get rid of it
  11. The updated hitsplats look great! and will help determining whether you dont do damage, or simply miss. The icon showing what type of damage you take will be very usefull later on (when new bosses come out) because it will allow for better understanding as to what its using
  12. FINALLY! Someone shows that thanks to its Accuracy, and the fact that you wont be hitting every swing, you've shown that the CLS has great potential. Sure the Slayer fanboys will still opt for the Rapier because everything they fight is low defence, as soon as you step into PVP or Boss hunting, that extra chunk of accuracy will help a ton.
  13. I made my ring berserker level 6, and noticed i could hit 380+ without potions or turmoil.. that was using slash i think too.. so maybe for spears: controlled stab = accurate controlled slash/crush = aggresive just a thought but possible!
  14. Exactly what i thought about the guy above you lol
  15. Its an Item in a game, Games are generally played to have fun! who woulda guessed that? The title Say Chaotic Rapier VS Chaotic Longsword, it does not specify in which ways one must be better than the other, thus, 'fun-ness' should be included. If your definition of 'fun' is doing everything the most efficient way, then by all means use your Rapier to the best of your ability, in my opinion CLS vs CR, CLS wins, not only is it aesthetically more attractive, it hits higher, and is more acurate, there's a few things it wins at, and i think because of these it outshines the competition.
  16. Actually it's great to have people like this- training with dfs, cls, possibly bandos boots and obsidian cape because they are ''cooler''. Why not go for a partyhat and DSS while you are at it, as being good rather than a hypocrite seems less important to these people. Bringing looks to a discussion of efficency doesn't really serve a purpose- cls might have looked nice from the start, but realistically, it was obselete from the getgo- maul/rapier are much better than anything cls can get you, and rapier is a much better compromise even for the higher defence. And well, if you don't agree, then please, prove me wrong, tell me a place where cls is, hands down, the clear favorite of these 3 weapons? because i can name a load for either rapier or maul. He never said anything about it looking cooler, just thought I'd point that out. CLS is for having fun, its NOT the best in EVERY situation, but it is USEFULL everywhere you take it, hell, whichever of the 3 you get, you wont be needing a whip anymore. I've used a VLS at Bandos before, and it far outshines a whip, with numbers, its has +1.5x the slash bonus an +1.46x the strength of a whip. If anything, the ONLY weapon that became obsolete with Chaotic weapons, it's the whip. Edit: Next time, instead of saying 'omg u want cls ur an idiot' maybe think, oh, that persons opinion, and/or needs are different to your own, and they would rather get a CLS.
  17. Wow these people on forums just jump on the bandwagon and automatically thin the rapier is the best thing in game :wall: The weapons are very situational, similar to having a sniper rifle and a shotgun. Rapier is the shotgun, great damage, very reliable, but somewhat limited (little KO potential) and a little inaccurate compared to the others. Maul is the sniper rifle, Slow, High damage, Extremely accurate, it has a rather high KO potential, but lacks DPS for the smaller tasks. So where does that eave the Longsword? It's the Assault Rifle, a mixture of the two, More accurate than the rapier, and a better KO potential. but the slight decrease in speed means less DPS When something is released that has low Slash defence (like dragons have low Stab) the longsword will dominate. Also, I thin the reason most people get the longsword, is because they would prefer an all-rounder, over something more specialised. Some days you need high accuracy (Sara/Bandos/PvP) and other days you need a decent DPS (everything else). Yes that only leaves a small amount of places where the longsword excels, but this isn't saying it's bad for the other things. It will still beat out a whip anywhere, even though it is slightly slower, So for the Solo boss-hunter, depending on how often you do it, having a CLS may be beneficial. Hence my decision of getting a CLS first. tl;dr they're all good weapons, but none of the weapons are better than the others in ALL situations, choose according to your personal needs.
  18. This is true, but in PvP you need a lot more accuracy, especially when both players are maxed with turmoil (although i have only recently gotten turmoil so haven't tested it as much). I personally think the significantly higher accuracy will come into play (mostly in rune/barrows fights, not hybrid fights). My opinion is backed up by looking at the maul, which is clearly the best for PvP. It has higher accuracy and strength bonus than both the Longsword and Rapier, yet is significantly slower.. so, looking at the longsword, sure he can eat twice between my hits, but with the higher accuracy i have a better change of 'comboing' high hits, and hitting 2 500+ or even 2 400+ is twice the damage that they have healed (and is still more than shark-brewing) Using a rapier in the same situation may see you doing much the same but faster, but having less accuracy means the chances of this happening are much lower. Except z spear isn't always better against irons/bronze. From my tests, I was killing faster with whip+defender. And I'm with games. I already rip graador apart with whip+divine. With a weapon with higher str and offense, I can't see rapier being worse. Since I'd also use it at tds (Where Whip>GS) and I prefer whip to GS pking, I'd defiantly get the rapier first. There is no arguement, rapier is better the majority of the time. Long is either used for fun, or for specialized situations. Against the dragons where you using turmoil/piety or not? Because i don't and generally find irons/steels to be faster with a spear (i haven't killed a bronze in years) Of course Rapier wont be worse than the whip for Graar, it is superior in every way, but i would rather sacrifice a small amount of speed for a higher hit-rate/damage. And for TD's i think having any of the three melee chaotic weapons will be fine, their defence is little to none even against a whip (which i use), although I would be leaning more towards the maul (or longsword with defender) because even with a whip it only takes 1-2 hits to do the required 310 damage (if not more).
  19. I'll be getting a CLS first, and a Maul after that. CLS = I do a lot off boss hunting, so high defence monster that require a higher-than-average accuracy. Maul = Td's maybe, Dabbling in Bounty worlds, and just sheer fun in safe PvP, and some PvM scenarios. If i ever get a Rapier, it will be ONLY used for Slayer, and at the moment I'm more than happy using a Whip for that, as i prefer not to use degrading items for it. (i don't care how slow it degrades either) A lot of people are failing to miss the point in these weapons (have fun, be better than all others), and are trying to get an average out of a random number. Sure, the 'Theoretical' DPS of a rapier may be higher, but as it has been said, it is better for low defence monsters, such as slayer. The % increase in efficiency over using a whip is minimal, not enough to spend the 30+ hours getting a rapier (why not spend those 30 hours slaying with a whip?) and for metal dragon tasks, IMO nothing beats Zamorakian spear + super antifire + extremes. (spears and halberd seem to be more accurate than swords/whip against large creatures).
  20. I thin its more like... finding a crashed star, the person who finds it gets that initial XP. In this case, the first time you enter the dungeon you will receive your XP or whatever else.. Then you have access to the dungeon, you will not recieve that initial bonus again, until you find a new dungeon. Thats what i figure it means anyway
  21. So, they had 'technical difficulties' but don't want to say that, as their twitter update does say it was going to be this week...
  22. SoulSplit now read 'You gain 1 life point for every 5 damage you deal, and they lose one prayer point for every 50' I almost thought it got uber'd but then i realised my mistake
