Well, it was an understatement on my part to say it was "just a case of bullying". I agree that what they did is completely wrong, and that it's possible, if not probable, that it will scar the kid for a good chunk of his life. Maybe it's just that when I look back at when I was 13, I can see now that I did things that, of course didn't come even close to being as grave as this, but still hurt some people. And maybe it's just me, but at that age it's hard to tell just how much you are hurting others. Obviously this is not a justification for what they did. I don't know how the american legal system deals with people of that age, but it's clearly not something that can be left on the hands of the parents. tl;dr: I mostly agree with you, but felt I had to say something when you said "they are not human beings". If anything, they are too human.
