i am a really good merchant, but because of this grand exchange, i don't merchant anymore. it sort of killed merchanting. pking is sort of like gambling. but then maybe i should make a part about pking. well thanks!

this guide is generally towards f2p's. members have much better ways of making money than this. these posts are divided into several sections: 1: smelting steel bars. 2: big bones 3: eye of newts 4: conclusion [hide=Steel Bars] This "tip" requires either a high mining level, or 225k. it also requires a smithing level of 30. high mining level: mine 1k coal and 500 iron ore. Smelt them into 500 steel bars. then sell it at the grand exchange for the current amount of price. as for 12/3/2007 the price is 565gp per steel bar. that is already 282.5k you definitely have enough money to start. 225k: you are already good. you don't need the high mining level. lucky you. step 1 (the grand exchange): buy 1k coal at the average grand exchange price. also buy 500 iron ore. teleport to lumbridge and go to alkharid bank. once your order is ready go to the bank to claim your order. step 2 (the tedious work): withdraw 9 iron, 18 coal, and any item that is not wearable. (this is so that when you withdraw items, it won't be so hard. step 3 (the walking): walk to the al-kharid furnace. its just one click away. make sure you bring light clothes if you wish to run. step 4 (the smelting): this part is self explanatory. smelt your ores into 9 steel bars. then repeat step 3. lastly store the bars and take out a new set of iron and coal. (just like step 2) step 5 (the repeating repeating repeating): repeat step 2 to 4 until you smelted all 500 steel bars. then sell the steel bars at the grand exchange at the normal price. start all over again. Each round, you make: 57.5k. in an hour, you can smelt around 325 steel bars. that means in 1 hour 30 minutes, you get 57500gp per 1 hour 30 minutes. this is pretty good for a f2p[/hide] [hide=Big Bones] this tip requires a strong fighting level and some fast reaction to the monsters appearing. it also requires a brass key step 1: put on some good armor and (for the low levels bring some food, unless you are a wizard or an archer. then you can bring less food.) go north west of varrock west bank. you will see a hut. go in. step 2: step down the ladder and start fighting hill giants. step 3: collect their big bones. step 4: once you have a full inventory of big bones, walk north the the original ladder. go up and out of the hut. step 5: go to varrok west bank and store the big bones. step 6: rinse and repeat step 7: once you have 1k big bones, go to the grand exchange and sell the big bones. you will probably get around 400k!!! 1k big bones takes time to get but 400k is a lot of a f2p. good luck. i wouldn't recommend this for level 50's and lower. This tip is more toward strength pures. I HATE the comments whitch say that "scimitar's the only correct weapon". That's in max true at pure fights, but NOT in monster killing. i agree that it may be best with demons and some other foes, but NOT in everything. I'ts the worst mistake of some f2p'rs to claim the scimitar as "absolute weapon"! IF you tru to kill black knights or skeletons, scimitar certainly is NOT the best option. slower, but far more accurate, and crush-attacking warhammer is better in these things. To change the scimitar correct weapon to 45 skeletons, i won't do that, that's for sure! Umm, actully, rune skimmy is the best wep. Its SPEED and DAMAGE that matters most. A bit more dmg bt sslower speed isint efficient. Besides the fact 2 skimmy hits>1 rune wham hit anyday Its speed is considerably fast but it dosn't do high damage. The is no such thing as the best weapon. If your attack is considerably higher than your strength, then you should use a baxe. if your strength is high then use a scimitar but for me (i have a really low strength of 61) i don't like using a scimitar for it hits usually 4-8's. baxes hit from about 5-12. but that is only for me. second thing... during pking. many people would wear a platemail. a platemail body is strong against slash attacks but bad against crush attacks which is where the baxe comes in. that is why i use baxes for pking.

That's what I said, but NO, everyone can't agree that us F2P'ers need more bank space!! Well, sorry, i guess i didn't read your post. I believe that jagex is making new ways to improve our bankspace instead of bluntly just giving us more bank space. some p2p don't like the fact that jagex will give f2p's more bank space even though the p2p's get more bank space too. so jagex has to do something that would help us save bankspace but it wouldn't be that obvious.
