  1. If you don't get the hunting part then kill jadinkos in the jadinko lair or burn roots

    With explorers ring and ardy cape 4, you can do farming runs in around 4:30

    Without ardy cape, your best bet is skills neck to fish guild

  2. ye but dont forget you have to do research for them which can take up to 2 hours and you can't bind a plate so you'll die a lot

     

    First of all, it's not everyday.

    It's a monthly thing where recruits (again not all - but a random lottery) record data to contribute to DGS.

    DGS is founded on the basis of improving your DGing skills - and one important part of that is clearing GD's and figuring out specifically what type of defense each monster has.

     

    Also, it's not that you can't ever bind a plate.

    One important part of dging is mitigating damage (and therefore deaths), and not having a plate directly contributes to this.

    When you're getting hit a lot more often, you want to learn important things like side stepping, safe spotting, and trapping monsters.

    Most people use plate just to mitigate damage and they never learn specific skill sets which are important in becoming a better dger.

     

    If there are so many things wrong with DGS - why don't you name some alternatives?

    In fact, who are you and who do you dg with?

    You always give a lot of advice without any sort of information or proof, and just throw random statements out there.

    This is the Help & Advice forum, not say random [cabbage] that comes to your mind forum.

    You can't bind a plate until you get keyer rank

    If you get keyer rank you will be forced to review applicants which also takes a lot of time.

    Mindlessly hitting a specific monster and recording whether a blue or a red splat appears does not improve your damage dealing capacities.

    I was not saying random [cabbage], he asked about dgs and I answered. Dgs might be able to get fast times but just being in the clan requires a lot of work. btw if you join the chat without applying you will get kicked.

    I never said or implied that anything is wrong with dgs, I gave the poster information. Unfortunately I cannot provide proof because linking to dgs is not allowed by tipit rules.

    There is no point to not binding a plate to learn damage reducing techniques since when you rebind it you wouldn't use those techniques since they considerably slow you down.

    One alternative route to dgs is adding people in world 67 who aren't idiots.

    Another one is to dungeoneer with friends.

    Btw 25 minute times are pretty good when you have 3 leechers.

  3. I heard that chinning and cannoning in Ape Atoll is well over 600k range xp/hr (at 99, so it'll be lower at your levels). It's far more expensive because of the cannonballs, but I'd say it's definitely worth looking into.

     

    Also, you could opt to sacrifice a little speed and cannon cave crawlers for a very good amount of effigies.

    at current prices cannonballs are like 10 gp/exp

    you can get 500k range exp/hr without cannoning for around 1.5m in costs

    meaning that per hour you pay 1m extra to get 100k extra exp

    it takes 12 minutes and 300k to get 100k chinning regularly

    so 3.5m per hour income is where cannoning is better

    At lvl 99, one can get up to 280 xp/red chin, and 360K xp/hr.

    At lvl n for all n > 70, one can get up to 280(n/99)^1.1 xp/red chin, and 360K(n/99)^1.1 xp/hr.

     

    For grey chinchompas, multiply the above numbers by three quarters.

     

    Author of the guide has 200m ranged xp.

     

    Steel titan and cannon will add to xp.

    Its probably more now since you don't have to worry about luring
