Yew logs. Fletchers buy the logs to fletch and sell to alchers, Yew longs (not taking into consideration the recent grand exchange price floors) always stay within a certain price range, while yew logs tend to fluctuate alot in price. Therefore, a much smarter decision is to buy yew logs, so that you can take advantage of the bigger movement in price. All pictures from: kubr.net as you can see, pure essence at the moment is falling, this will mean nature rune makers will be more willing to make natures in return for the bigger profit margin. Because natures will be cheaper to make, runecrafters will be willing to sell for less, this combined with falling yew log prices which will make yew longs more attractive to fletchers means, most likely in the next few weeks there will be a heavier demand on nature runes/yew logs , forcing them to rise in price. as merchanters are we not looking for things that we can buy low, let them rise then buy high

Ok i have thought this through, maybe too much as it could be too late now with all the new updates, but please consider my proposal. I believe the wilderness should be restored to how it was, but with these changes to restore Pking to a portion of its once former glory. The mechanics of pking are fine, these do not need to be changed, what needs to be changed is people RWT'ing in the wilderness. HOW you ask? When you kill someone in the wilderness and they die, there is a chance you can get some of their items. The pre determined chance is made by Jagex, but with a twist on the % chance of getting the drop. For Example; I go into the wilderness wearing a rune scim only (1itemer) and im skulled. I get owned by a lvl 138 because thats just my bad luck, and i fall to the ground. *Now this is where things change* the chance of the person that killed me getting my rune scimitar could be calculated as if you loose if you win (reverse) for example: it may work like this if i loose So there will be a 15.4% Chance you will loose your scimitar. Now the reverse, i manage to actually kill the lvl 138 and he has a scim So there will be a 28.4% chance of me getting his scimitar. I believe this formula to be fair, because its obviously alot harder for a lower lvl to defeat a higher lvl. And it helps stop RWT, because usually bots and macroes have low lvl accounts, making it harder if they do manage to win to actually get a good chance of transfering wealth. Obviously, the more common a drop is, the higher the pre determined rate is While the rarer the drop, the lower the pre determined rate is.

Summoning and its effects on PvP?
craven_range replied to craven_range's topic in General Discussion
im not crying over summoning, or its effects on wilderness (which doesnt exist) but i am worried that my favourite thing to do in runescape "cws" will be ruined lol, i should proof read before posting, like i said. im not saying(left out ING last time) you are crying. i agree, i love CW but, ruined? doubt... unless people get war tortises and flag hold. thanks, i am not complaining or saying the world is going to end, as ill be the first to admit, if someone shows me a good reason as to why summoning would be great in PvP then my opinion will be swayed -
Summoning and its effects on PvP?
craven_range replied to craven_range's topic in General Discussion
a summoning pure is impossible, unless its made by an extremely rich lvl 3 skiller. because pures cant be made by cheaters that swap things from their main to there pure. -
yay, MORE free black marks for me, thanks jagex all for saying a popular websites name that has videos on it (wasntt advertising btw i said out aloud at draynor that i wasnt actually afk, i was watching videos on youtube as i cut logs) thanks jagex, you fail :wall:

Summoning And its effects On PvP -A discussion on the effects of summoning in pvp style combat- I think summoning will really ruin the fun of these type of games, for one, PvP means player vs player. Fair enough summoning is a combat skill, but in my opinion this should only be used for PvM, which i believe is what this skill was made for. At the moment in world 24, castle wars is hectic as it is, without the large amount of potential summoned creatures. One argument is that summoning adds more diversity, though this is the case i still do not think that it should be included, as the traditional PvP worked well, and Castle Wars was quite tactical. Another point is that this brings the fairness of the game into question. Summoning is the first combat skill that has a high cost of training involved. Although prayer can also be pointed out as expensive, it can also be free for those with less money than others. This re defines the distribution of power in the game, making the rich even more powerful while the poor are comparatibly weaker. I do believe that the fairness should be kept relatively equal as it was. If summoning were to be not allowed in Castle Wars, then the effects of your combat level can also be discussed, though this is not really an issue in castle wars because of the games nature. Summoning and the effects in the duel arena can also be discussed, though i have not tested this yet but i believe there may be some type of feature to toggle summoning on/off during a duel, if so then this should not be an issue. I would like to hear other peoples opinoins on this matter, and see some good points from the other side of this argument. Disadvantadges of Summoning in PvP ~Player vs Player will not be just that anymore. ~Lag issues ~Ruin the fun IMO ~The distribution of power in PvP is aimed even more towards the rich Advantages of Summoning in PvP ~Will allow for new types of pures. (SiestaGuru) Please do not post on my thread with comments that do not relate to the discussion of Summonings effects on PvP, specifically Caslte Wars. My opinion expressed in this topic is exactly that, my opinion.

Hey guys :) i havnt had much time to play since summoning came out, and i am still deciding wether to lvl it My Question is how long can a summoned creature be out. I am aware that there is a points style thing where the summoning points run out, i think i read somewehre its like 3 minutes. What happens when the time runs out? some people have said you can renew them to keep your creature with you longer, how do you renew them without going to the obleisk thing? And is this infinite? sorry for the noob question edit: the more i think about this the more confused i get from KB "Renew Familiar When your familiar's remaining time runs low, you can click this button to take the time back up to the maximum. This will not use another pouch, but will cost you the same number of Summoning points as it cost to summon your familiar originally. The exact number will be displayed if you hold your mouse over this button." Does this mean i can keep renewing it until my summoning points reach zero? Does each familiar take more/less points to renew depending on its level? How do i get more points?

Hi veng =] Items coming into the economy do not create gp. The way things work atm, people who are collecting raw materials are selling them, and alchers arnt buying.. an example of this is why yews have dropped so much, because fletching has been shot in the foot. This causes a good amount of raw materials, but these are not being sold, as jagex are intervining, causing alchers to not want to alch as much anymore, and gp to not be generated as much. and tbh knight zaros is a moron

Sorry to jump on the n00b band wagon of "Lets all jump on a thread and try fill my ego by trying to prove people wrong *cough*primadog*cough*" but, Less gold = 1gp is worth more = higher prices. Less gold = more deamnd (aat the same price) = higher prices And Primadog, it costs 200m for the shards alone, so idk how it can cost 44m for 1-99.[/i]
-
no where did i say 500m gp. And your examples are invalid anyway, as it only shows how much you need to spend from a particular point to 99. A quite notable topic in skills on RSOF has been made by a moderator, who clears lists all costs involved in summoning, and the cost to 99
-
Theres still plenty things out there to alch...just because the most popular one is gone, doesn't mean that the generation of gp is gone. Also, Killing monsters also generates sufficient gp into the economy. ~Ddaanniiellh good point, but it costs 200m + for one player to reach 99 summoning. how long do you think it would take to pick up 200m in coins, just to balance out the effect of 1 person reaching 99 summoning. Im not calling a market crash, but i am certain that prices will rise on rares and other materials
-
Not really so summoning related...
craven_range replied to Knight_Zaros's topic in General Discussion
no because he is a noob -
ok then smart [wagon], where does money come from without alching High P ess price = no nats High yew long price = no alchs Summoning = 250m drain for every player who reaches 99 jagex doesnt let the price of an item on the G.E drop below Alch price + a nature, so alching is not profitable anymore, meaing far less people will alch. ok, its not going to crash and everyone is going to die, but rare prices and prices of raw materials will rise substancially. My advice is to buy up now whilst prices are low, because soon things will be very expensive again.
-
Monkeys banging on a calculator could do a better job of choosing prices. i love how you thnk qeltar :wall: :wall: :wall:
-
Correct. for your information, a gp shortage will raise the price of rares, and construction prices were not controlled by the grand exchange. Construction sure did take out money, but alching put the money back in. Now no one alchs, so there is nothing to balance the money coming out of the economy Think through your noob reply next time, its not about the cost of summoning, but the effects of money coming out from summoning and none coming in from other sources. You fool
-
a depression is the opposite, at the moment 1gp buys more than it used to. This may all change with alot of money being taken out of the economy, prices may rise because of a gp shortage and 1gp wil buy less than it can now.
-
With the new summoning skill that is ridiculously overpriced, i believe that a shortage of gp may occur in runescape. I read on RSOF, that summoning can cost over 250m for level 99, thats 250m per player! now , more than one player wil be going for 99 of course, this skill will take billions upon billions of gp out of the economy. It wont be shared to other players, just taken out! Now combine this with yew long prices, which mean no one can alch anymore to generate gp, what will happen? Alching is the main source of GP being generated in runescape, the only other way is coin drops from monsters. What will happen :ohnoes:
-
can someone please explain to mod mike a why they cant let the price of an item be less than its alch value + a nature rune whats so wrong with alching anyway =\
