Alright, I'm very sure this will work, but I'm asking if I should tweak this set up at all:
The Verac's Helm and Plateskirt are for when Xils are out and attacking.
I'd also like to see an inventory please.
By the way, the reason I didn't just get ingame inventory shots is because I currently don't have Armadyl. If anyone is selling an Armadyl Chestplate or Plateskirt please tell me. The Helmet is of lesser importance.
Important levels:
98 HitPoints
94 Defense
94 Ranged
91 Magic
76 Prayer
And what is TipIt's home world? I think it's in the 90s...

Rather than even worry about the Forinthry Bracelet, take some of your Runecrafting Guild Tokens and buy a few of these...

I got access back! Yee!
And so I'm doing the quests I missed.
And I've started with Summer's End.
And I'm in the first chamber with the Ethereal Beast.
And every time his attacks hit me, it's a 34...
Every time??
Okay. So I got through that, or so I thought.
I've already burned three pyres, and the ghost warrior guy has already slashed him in the chest, and yet he has stayed in the first chamber...
This is wrong, right?...
Alright, all it took was burning a fourth one and about five sharks.
Can someone who has knowledge of editing Tip's guides please put a warning on this quest?:
"Do not light another pyre while one is still burning (during cutscene), or the game may fail to recognize it and you will have to burn extra pyres."

The updates look great. I hope that I'll have access back by the time they're released.
Skimming over the first few pages:
Why are so many people complaining? RuneScape always has something to offer everybody. This month they're going combat heavy. Last month included several quests and even some higher-level skill updates.
Why treat this like politics? RuneScape is a game for enjoyment.
The Halloween events (and any other holiday events for that matter) are for adding a little more enjoyment. They're always simply going to be a cheap laugh or a quick, unique, amusing distraction, and people should accept that.
I've never been a PK'er, and I won't jump right into the PvP worlds (assuming I have access). But that's no reason to complain about them. The only point related to this that I agree with is that the community slightly improved when many PK'ers left, and that you could see a bit of downfall once the PvP worlds were announced...
A nice looking month with attractive updates that I hope I'll be able to enjoy.

Would there not actually be a backlash from this, though?
Okay, so there are amount limits now. Might these limits actually cause people to begin buying up items faster rather than buying them in large quantities but over a longer period of time?
What I'm trying to say could probably be explained better. Some will get it and others won't.

If...and mind you its a big IF...
IF they would just let us wear both Gloves and Bracelets at the same time...it would make Bracelets and Gloves perfect. Take away the combat stats of the Bracelets. This way your Gloves still serve their combat purposes and the Bracelets (with the exception of the Bracelet of Clay) add a support role.
Dark Gloves + Regen Bracelet = For normal combat scenarios
Vamps + Bracelet of Inoculation = Ranging Zogres
Dragon Slayer Gloves + Combat Bracelet = Extra EXP on Slayer Assingment with Kill counts and teleports
Dark Gloves + Forinthry Bracelet = Killing in the Wild, while protecting your butt from Revs
Addy Gauntlets + Castlewars Bracelet = Using 2 Minigame Items together
As it stands now, anyone with access to Dark Gloves more than likely isn't going to give them up for ANY of the mentioned Bracelets. The lower level gloves/gauntlets was to show what other lower level players might use. But Bracelets are almost unused completely. This is a simple, yet effective solution...
Just let us wear both JAGEX and we will gladly use your items you bestow up us mere mortals!
Don't forget Penance Gloves!

It's good to see a thread with backbone.
Just two things-
I haven't done some sort of extensive drop research, but I know someone posted a large amount of kills on the Corporeal Beast thread that made it look like sigils are actually relatively common.
Also, could you post a picture of your shiny shield? Off-topic I know, but I haven't seen it worn.
I'm going to have to slightly disagree on some of these.I believe those drop rates are a bit high. The beast takes quite a long time to kill and overestimating is easy. I believe the drop rates to be somewhere in these ranges:
Spirit shields: 1 in 75
Holy Elixir: 1 in 150-250
Sigils: 1 in 200-350
Of course, this is speculation, but I believe that the sigils have the same drop rates. Since there still aren't many sigil drops of any type, it's easy to say that some are rarer than others.
jettrider's estimates closely resemble those that I read that I just mentioned.

Wow, from the title, I thought you meant it could literally cause players to fight each other.
Anyway, this monster hardly seems worthy of being called a boss. It sounds a lot more like a demiboss (is there such a term?) like Salarin the Twisted, (and, incidentally, he can be killed with Ancient Magicks too...) that requires a special method.
It shouldn't have been given Holy Elixirs to drop in the first place; this takes away from the real boss's drops, and causes precisely this problem! However, a large drop rate of Blue Charms sounds like a perfect incentive, as those are always valuable.
As far as restrictions go, 80-85 Prayer (to enter or to be able to use Prayer there) sounds like a good one. I'd guess that most people with maxed melee stats don't even have 75+ Prayer, and if you would object to this, you probably don't either.
Conclusion: if this wasn't here you couldn't complain about it (that's really the bottom line in all updates...).

im pretty sure that only new, never been fired bows/used sheilds can be sold on ge. so you may be out of luck.... :wall:
Almost had it there -
Only Crystal Bows or Shields that have been bought directly from the pair of elves are tradable. If you charged them (which you did...) then they're just as good as the ones you could buy at full price but will be nontradable.
Did you really think you'd be able to charge and sell bows and make 500k+ profit each?...
-
Green D'hide Coifs - 1200k
Rune Gauntlets - 1350k
Dragon Gauntlets - 1620k
Using Kwuarm Gloves (according to totalpwnage) - 5400k
Heh...
The Battle Robes look kinda nice too, if you wanted to buy some uncharged and use a few tokens to charge them.

iv killed like 3 times without gettin damaged..yes its possable...fairly easy
See, that's really what I wanted to hear.
May I ask how many people were with you, and if it went as I described in my first post?
-
It cant be soloed stop thinking.
Even if it could be it would take 2 hours for a kill and wouldn't be worth it.
yah, solo would really not be worth it...Forgive me for thinking that Tip's Forumgoers were more intelligent than the average 'Scaper (semi-quote from someone's signature...).
I said absolutely nothing about soloing this beast. Even without a first-hand account I could see from videos on YouTube that soloing is not the way to go. However, it's obvious that taking reduced damage in any case is a good thing.
@ Foolish Taco: I'll think as much as I want. Regardless if emergent gameplay is specifically supported by JaGEx or not, that is what we have here. The Kalphite Queen's attacks spread between players and always hit everyone. The same with the God Wars Dungeon bosses. They introduced with the Corporeal Beast that paying attention and running around may actually have some benefits.
-
He will still get hits in on you.
I know it'd be expecting too much to avoid all of his hits all of the time, but what do you mean exactly?
-
-I'm fairly sure this is the right place to ask this. This is my first post ever, as you can see, so let it also serve as my introduction (since this has more chance of being read than the thread specifically created for that...) I usually just browse. This website is a lot friendlier than RSOF or RHQ (brighter colors!), and that is why I prefer it here. I would like to say that I am a veteran, since I began playing very shortly after RuneCrafting was released. I have no 99s at level 126 combat (Quest Cape, if not for the inability to log in and do the newest quest...)
I currently cannot access RuneScape or any part of their actual website, so I cannot do the quest or fight the new boss. However, from the many videos on YouTube, I am able to see that the beast's attacks are nearly completely avoidable, and if you pay attention you don't get hit by the Dark Core or the spreading attacks, and if you spread out, you can see when the beast turns between targets, so if it faces you (preemptive to attack), couldn't you just run under the beast, resulting in all of its attacks being blocked?

Alright, thanks all!
So Verac's Helm and Plateskirt rather than Armadyl?
