I dont see any reason why firemaking couldnt be used to make some sort of bombs similar to red chins, just using a different skill. Firemaking could be taken in a little bit of a different direction in that by lighting all kinds of stuff on fire you gain knowledge of explosive materials etc. Imagine explosive arrows or cannonballs: small modifications of existing ammo that could add extra devastating damage.
