28-Nov-11 Polypore Dungeon
Hell no, that would make mage PvM so much more expensive. It's finally as cost efficient as Melee. Save for the polypore staff, all level 90+ spells cost well over 1 - 2k each. True but remember the intention of Jagex was to make this a place where players with high level slayer could make good money. Depends a bt on the nerve of the armour next week if that will remain the case... You can't just say that it was Jagex's intention. I think they wanted to make magic viable in slayer and pvm in general, which they did by a) introducing magic-weak monsters and b) introducing cheap powerful spells. The FAQ does actually say that they wanted to reward high level slayers with a profitable drop that wasn't devalued. tbh, the flakes/spores are always going to command a price, espcially the flakes. I've just had a ganodermics task, there are about 2 people other than myself in the whole world. I'm pretty sure these will always remain 500k-2m/hr, due to the fact that the staffs are now the most cost effective weapons in the game, and that people will buy the armour if it lasts longer. also, these arn't a a bad source for effigies <3

An overload issue, and general Overload discussion.
Well, not sure if this was the right place to put this, but here goes. OVERLOADS. One of Runescapes most powerful high leveled updates, overloads boost your combat stats up, with a renewal of the boost every 15 seconds. Overloads were instantly recognized for their value in high level bossing, and, used with saradomin brews, instantly climbed to the top, and are now a base requirment for effective bossing. While Overloads are incredibly powerful, a handful of glitches have followed in their wake. 1: House optioning: While not stricktly speaking a glitch, when a player went into house options while overloaded, it would cause the overload timer to pause, and only start ticking again when house options was exited. This was patched on Nov 21, 2011, but hadn't properly worked for some time before that. 2: Overload logging: Overload logging was a way to negate the damage caused by overloads. You could drink a dose of overload and very quickly log out, negating the damage. This was patched sometime in the fall of 2011. There have been other glitches, but none spring readily to mind. Now down to the current "issue". With their 21 nov update, jagex fixed a few things regarding overloads, the largest of which being the nuke of house optioning. However, another problem has now emerged, due to the 21'st update. Previous to the update, if you logged out while overloaded, your overload wouldn't run down. However, now, if you log at any point while overloaded, AS SOON as you log back in, your overload runs out, no matter how long you've been logged for, no matter if you logged 15 seconds after overloading. This is extremely annoying at places like dks, where you have to hop often to bless people, or at gwd when being crashed, or finding a new world. Thoughts on this? Or any thoughts at all regarding overloads!

So, I kind of thought Jagex was on their way to a new, good reputation with their players, what with the bot removal and all. 1: they got rid of bots because it was hurting their revenue, and their game, badly. 2: THEY BUILDING GOOD REP WITH PAYING CUSTOMERS, NO PAY, NO HIGHSCORES. JUST PAY US MOAR WE'LL PUT YOU IN HS. next: we're raising member ship by 2x, because killing f2p stopped people subcribing, we'll just charge you all more.

Dungeoneering - Which way do you prefer?
When I first started dungeoneering, it was hell. Getting chaotic 31 was horrible, it took me 2 weeks of no lifing over christmas in 117/148. However, after getting my first chaotic, I learned about this wacked out new tif clan called "DGS". I resolved to give them a try, and slowly, very slowly, improved my dg skills, getting another chaotic on the road. Then, I lost rapier, and ccbow, adn went into a camp dg phase, in which I got 91-100 dg in about a month. In the month it took me, I realised, that, unlike common beleif, Duneoneering is an incredible skill, an enjoyable past-time, and, overall, a great addition to the game. Now, on to the important part. Dungeoneering, on one's own, is a dreadful, abysmal skill. This is why those people who arn't very social, or don't like relying on others, hate it. But, on the other hand, dungoneering is an incredible skill if you don't mind interacting with other players. In my opinion, a good dungeoneering clan is an invaluable asset. You start to learn more, and trust your team-mates more, managing to more and more casually do thing you used to think were impossible. Now, this is all very well, exept for the catch. OTHER PEOPLE. One of the reasons w117/148/eb0 have died is because no one knows/trusts each other, and each person is just looking out for themselves, which isn't how Dg is supposed to work. You HAVE to trust your team-mates. This is where dungoneering clans come in. The ideal clan is a clan of 30-50 members, who all know each other to a degree, and all have some ability to dg, but not enough to make them behave elitistly. Most clan members, and, most all fo the keyers MUST be patient, and enduring. They are teaching the newer people how to enjoy dging, and, how to get better at it. The key to a good clan is understanding. Of each other, of dging, and comprehension that not everyone is as good as you, and the ability to accept that. Lets Contrast Two dg clans: EoE (a tif based clan with a small memberbase) and DGS (an ex tif clan, with an old small member-base, and a variety of slowly maturing clan members) DGS: While dgs is probably one of the best clans, there is quite a few Hardcore dgers here, who are the best at what they do. They, in turn, teach those who they floor with to become hard core, max minimise floor time, and to do whatever it takes to get the floors done. The problem with this is that it creates a lot of uncertainty for the new people. Not being experienced much in dg lore and slang, they'll make mistakes in their floors, causing an amount of irritation to their team leader. The leader then generally points out their screw ups in a derogatory way, due to being P/O'd at the loss in efficiency. Negative feedback doesn't help, as you can't learn on :FFS, MGTGD NOW (NEWBIE). You can only really learn on: hey, (newbie), can you please move the GT to that gd you have gated? we can only go that way. Dgs has a fair bit of FFS, and not enough Please. However, despite this, they are still one of the best clans in rs, because they ARE good at what they do. It's just harder to begni to learn what to do. i feel Dgs could use a little less efficiency, and a little more flexibilty, and understanding. EoE:While EoE is a far smaller clan, this has both positive and negative effects. There are far fewer people, which creates less opportunity for actual dungoneering, especially if you are in a different time-zone than other members. There are less floors going on, and probably more less experience people, as the keyers will want to take whatever they can get. More noobs=slower floor times=less efficiency. There is less variety of floors, and if you don't like someone, chances are you'll be stuck with them now and then. now let's look at the positive side of the "small clan" Because it is a small clan, everyone will know each other, to varying degrees. This means that in most floors, there will be one or two friends, who can potentially create the backbone of a team. Also, instead of there being people who are always keying, less people creates for more variety of keyers, because, people have to settle with who they have for keyer. Also, because everyone has some knowledge of how to key, and how floors work, everyone can have a bit of understanding of each other. In addition, because everyone knows each other, they can trust, or at least rely on 1-2 members of each team. Conclusion. In MY opinion, Dgs is better for those who are already good at dging, and want to minimise floor times. Eoe is better for learning to dg, and actually enjoying dg. Please note that i don't have anything against either clan, and I have attempted to portray both without Bias. I am a member of both clans, and have friends/floor in both. 81-102 dg with dgs, 102-108 with dgs/eoe. TL:DR DG IS FUN IF YOU ARE IN A GOOD TEAM, AND WHICH SORT OF TEAM IS BEST IS UP TO YOU, BE IT UNDERSTANDING, OR EFFICIENCY. Meamzed.

If thats what you really beleive, go back to rsof. F2p has a right to play properly, and honestly, jagex needs to stop neglecting them, and actually give f2p something more to play for. For example=make green dragons, and granite gear f2p. This will increase the cash f2p can get, and make becoming a member more attractive. Perhaps, in addition make 1-2 p2p stats trainable to about 30-40 on f2p, to give them a taste of member ship. :-o :-o

So what is it when a monster casts a spell to summon the environment against you? I really can't think of that many purely PvE situations, unless you count stuff like the Bork caverns after you defeat it and extreme cold areas. dw I was just trolling tbh, but, pve is SILLY. stop 133373737ing speek you other people. :shame: brb philosraptor for monster summoning spell.

Next chaotic
voted ccbow because it's versatile, and, without ovls, no point in bossing really. ccbow is good for ANYTHIGN you have to shoot a bolt at, and you are better off having 1 range and 1 melee chaotic, rather than two melee chaotics, its simply covering your bases, Maul is only good on things like bandos, where rapier isn't accurate enough, and then, only good in max str+ovls+turm. even with that, i still onyl get like 55/45 against a rapier friend of mine who is also using max str. tl:dr get ccbow its more useful than maul without ovls/extremes.

noooorammallly, i wouldn't care, good for woox, he's a pretty good pvmer, gotta give him that at least. However, i had forknowledge that jagex would be doing this, so I am very sceptic, and a little dissapointed. How I gained knowledge of this, before it happened: a friend linked a pic in irc of woox talking to a jmod. The mod was offering to have jagex sponser woox, and make him famous :rolleyes: , however, I don't recall what they wanted in return. there was also something about them not wanting to look like jagex had "bought" woox. I didn't really care much at the time, figured it was just a fake, but now...... <_< whatever, I don't care atm.. but if woox starts to attempt to sell jagex as awesome, i'm be a bit annoyed, and saddened.
