  1. anyone? I've heard a rumor about a new F2P skill but I have no idea if this is true. Could anyone please help
  2. I haven't played runescape since Soul Wars (I quit right before it was released) I was thinking about rejoining (F2P) and was wondering if anything important has happened that I should know about. Since I'll be F2P for the rest of my time, I am not interested in P2P updates but if something cool or interested was released I would like to know. Thank you.
  3. Thanks but what was the new pvp/bh feature?
  4. I noticed people are reading this and not posting. I would just like someone to say what is new, you don't even have to explain it. Ive been trying to read up on everything I missed The things i noticed were the new interface and resting. can anyone else help me out
  5. Hi. I haven't played Runescape since the Soul War update. I was F2P and am probally going to stay F2P but i was wondering if there any F2P updates that have been released that I should know about. If there are, you can just tell me the name (or area) and ill look it up/check it out Thanks so much
  6. I think what I've been trying to get at is: Will the insistance to cheat in this game eventually be the "downfall" of Runescape, should it ever happen. Many people think that since the Wilderness, Free Trade and Dueling were removed, Runescape is "dead". I find this really stupid because Runescape is even more fun, what with big quests coming and a new skill (or so I've heard). Sure some aspects are gone.
  7. Honestly I don't think its cheating. Sure, it gives someone with lots of money alot more advantages over people without money, but nobody saying you HAVE to buy gold. I've seen games where the company even sells their own items for real money. If you work hard you get the item and appreciate it. If you spend money, you're using money that you worked hard to get and you get the same item. While some people think its unfair because they aren't allowed/can't buy gold, I have no problem with it. Sure, it ruined Runescape, but I as a player didn't care much. Of course, I also wasn't loosing millions of dollars from credit frauds.
  8. Ever heard of Getting the pure ess? glories? all that? lol people think before you speak But i'd still choose 99RC I would use the Runecrafting Minigame. All you do is basically attract orbs and you get free altar teleports and free rune ess (its not exactly free because you have to spend the tokens on it). Plus you make runes in the game which you can sell for teleports.
  9. I don't think stats alone make something over-powered. D Claws are overpowered, not because of their stats, but because of their special. Karil in my opinion is underpowered, again, not because of stats, but because of its lame special.
  10. I read in another topic that if Jagex released more powerful armour (85+ Defense) that it would be over-powered. I'm not debating WETHER Jagex should release this amrour, which I think they should, but how to make sure this armour is not overpowered. 1. Make it untradeable - This solves the problem of the armour costing too much (such as PvP Armour) 2. Make it a quest reward - The armour could come as a quest reward so that you can only have 1 set, making it more valuable. However, you can always get it back but there are penalties. The penalties could be paying a high price, completing several quests, gaining a certain amount of exp, etc. Something that requires lots of work. 3. Have a time penalty - If you loose the armour, you must wait X Days to get it back. 4. Have it decay - similar to barrow armour so its hard to camp forever. I'm not talking about a 1 hour decay where the item disappears though. Maybe a 5-10 Hour time limit where the armour must be fixed. What are your ideas so that armour cannot become overpowered Note: I'm not saying Jagex should release high level armour. I'm not saying they will either. I'm just asking what you guys think Jagex should do IF they ever DO add high level armour.
  11. Wow I'm suprised people actually commented. What I was trying to say is asking why Jagex is being blamed, when its not Jagex's fault that there were RWT anyway. People don't seem to understand that there are only RWT because we, not jagex, want to buy gold. And again, I use 'We' meaning runescape players. I love your analogies though. I'm going to make my own though, and this will be semi-disgusting. If you are of the feint at heart, don't read. ----------------------------------------------------------- RWT is like an ingrown-toenail. It starts small and insignificant and easy to stop. However, if measures aren't taken, it can turn into something serious. It can still be stopped though. Although if you don't do anything to stop it, it can spread and eventually you need to get your toe amputated. ------------------------------------------------------------ Also, what other methods could Jagex use to ban RWT-ers? I've thought of a couple but I don't know how well they would work. 1. Ban an account when the IP adresses change dramatically over a short period of time (Like if you log in in NY and 10 minutes later you log in in China) - obvious RWTers 2. Sue a RWT Company (this helped Blizzard's WoW which had ALOT of RWT) 3. Only allow 1 IP adress per Account no matter what.
  12. I've been reading alot of topics lately, both on Tip.it, RSOF and several other fansites. I've noticed a huge pattern. It's perfectly ok for us to break rules, but as soon as Jagex makes rules that STOP this rule-breaking, players suddenly get mad. For instance, several years ago, not many people bought gold. I know lots of people did, but it wasn't as extreme as it use to be before Jagex removed the Open trading. Nobody really thought to much about it. Many people even thought it was alright. However, as soon as Jagex tries to fix this 'problem' which WE (I mean WE as runescape players, not tip.it-ers) cause, many of us suddenly grow angry at Jagex. This has happened many times in Runescape's history where we grow angry at Jagex for trying to fix problems that started out small, but eventually led to many people abusing them. I was just wondering what you guys think of this growing pattern. What if this problem becomes so extreme, that runescape just "dies". *NOTE: I am not blaming Jagex for anything. I almost never do. Even though I did not enjoy the recent updates, I felt they were needed. I am asking if the recent opinions that Runescape is not as fun are actually OUR fault, and not Jagex's
  13. You obviously don't have brawling gloves...In zybez theres a picture of someones bank with ~37 Brawling Gloves and guess what? It takes up 37 Spaces... I don't know about SC. I don't think it does though.
  14. 1. Yes 2. No clue, jagex is weird like that.
  15. I wish i earned 500k an hour.... The most most people can make is 300-400k unless they really try while multitasking and remembering to check several things at once...also getting lucky helps Boss Hunting + Merchanting + NPC Trading + MTK + Herb farming all at once... other than that, i dont know any methods to get 500k an hour... but pretty cool and helpful nontheless
