I'm gonna do some calculations: According to my friends down in Blogworld, 99 Construction with oak larders costs about 115m. with 15049 genie lamps for 99 (Thanks Ryuuka) or about 10,000 Books, say you're doing books. And for the sake of easy math, let's say a book costs 1.5x as much as a lamp. Taking about 70 hours for 99 (larders). say you have 91 runecrafting. You can make, say 750k an hour. Redeem a book every 5 seconds? We'll call that 750 lamps/hour. 20 hours for 99. With that wasted money from taking so long to get 99 construction, (70-20)*750k = 37.5 million coins. 37.5 million + 115m = ~150m. With 15000 lamps needed for 99, that would mean 10,000 coins per lamp, or 15,000 per book. These are just my estimates. Sorry if i confused anyone. #-o

Hey, I thought of an interesting question while I was cooking... If Books of Knowledge and Genie Lamps were Tradable...how much would they be worth? While factoring the fairly easy skills (Cooking, Firemaking, Fletching) you must also remember the very hard ones (Summoning, Construction, Herblore) Note that a Genie Lamp (From a Genie Random Event :shock: ) gives 10x the xp of your level in that skill, and a Book of Knowledge (From an Exam Random Event) Gives 15x the xp of your level in that skill. Note: I am not advocating the tradability of these items, I'm just trying to start a discussion 8-) -CMP

What gems, how much gold? Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond 300-640 GP It's not same reward everytime. So gems: is gems. Sorry, but I'm looking for exact numbers. I'm afraid I can't add yours unless you get an exact number, and how many times you've gotten it.

Even so, that's not a reason to not make a guide about them. And that's just your opinion. It's a very nice reward for newbies who need that boost.

There is none, yet. A month or two back during the State Of Play news reports Jagex stated they were working on an update to random events. without gold farmers, anyone think they'll remove them? :pray: I somehow doubt it. Besides being good for stopping macros, Jagex's "excuse" is that it takes out some of the monotony of just playing.

I don't agree with you on that. For instance, Evil Bob's island. I've talked to about 10 friends, they've gotten evil bob a total of 6 times. I can get nearly that many drunken dwarfs in a day. As for your rewards, I'm also looking for a wide range of rewards, including the mysterious box, pinball, molly, and others. I also want to find out the percentage chance of getting a particular reward. Thanks for the support :mrgreen:

Hello, I've been working on a Random Event Database. I'll tell you what that is: A list of what random events people got, and what rewards they received. So far I've gotten about 100 submissions from my friends and I, but that's not neraly enough to render the list at all accurate. My final product, hopefully, will be a guide showing what percentage chance you have of getting a certain random event (when you get one) and also what rewards you might get. And that's why I need your help. To make my guide more complete, I need hundreds, maybe thousands more submissions. Just take a little time out of your RuneScape playing time, and write down which random event you get, or send it to me straight away (Private Message me on these forums, or just post it in this thread) Not only will this make me extremely happy ( : ) it will also take out some of the monotony of RuneScape. If you could take the time to send me your random event, please do it in this form: [Random Event] [Reward] [What you were doing] Such as... Molly 3 uncut diamonds Woodcutting. Some Tips: [*:1b07giw8] If you get a clothes random event (Drill Demon, Mime, Forester) please also say if you already have the full set of clothes. [*:1b07giw8] Even if your reward was only an emote (like "Lean" for the Mime) still post it.
