  1. I can't believe this game is still going. GIIT (That's 6117 in letters)

I managed to get across with only 2 fails at 60 + Summer Pie. Just take pies and you should be okay. As for prayer, you could either take about 10 Potions and leave it on the whole time, or you could take 3-5 and switch it on and off when shadows come. For this method, just get your highest prayer bonus, but use Spotted Cape/Boots of Lightness and Penance Gloves IF you have. But, at your defense level, it might be best just to tank them. Wear Torag's or another high healing armour (Full Guthans might be nice for healing) and bring an inventory full of high healing food, and a couple Prayer Potions just in case you run out of food. Any way, you only need to cross the handholds twice. It's pretty overhyped. At your Agility level, just Bring 2 Summer Pies and eat before you cross. It might take a couple tries, but it shouldn't be too difficult. *Did MEP2 WIthout a Guide*
  3. Darn you, I was going to make a Gnome Restaurant guide  If you need any help, I have a nearly completed guide on Hard Tasks, requirements, Making the food, rewards and tips. To be honest, a guide on the Easy Tasks is almost not worth it. It also seems like energy potions might not be necessary, and, if they are, it would be easier and cheaper to your spirit terrorbird scrolls. So, I'd love to help with the guide, if you'd like. -CMP
  4. It's a PvP drop?
  5. Ah, the inevitable Mint Cake thread. What some people fail to realise is that they are not incredibly rare. I got 3 of them in a span of about 5 hours playing Gnome Restaurant.
  6. Generally, unless you get in more trouble, a suspension won't go on your record. If it's highschool, it's possible that it will. If junior high, it very likely won't. Even if it does, don't freak out. Plenty of people (myself included) have gone to great colleges with some...spotty school records. If it does end up on your record, see if you can get it expunged (school administrators love that word) Just don't get caught again :) -CMP PS this should probably go in Off Topic.
  7. f you're only doing it for WGS, I'd get 62 and use a garden pie. That's what I did. You only need to boost to 65 for the very beginning of the quest. As for getting to 62, I'd say if you're loaded, do the best wood/fruit tress you can. If you're not, do willows and curries. Herb runs (Toadflax/Irit) are a great way to break even.
  8. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Miscellania Whichever one has a highest profit, there you go. Some tips: Always maintain a 100% approval rating It's called Manage thy Kingdom, the quest is Throne of Miscellania. At most, you can invest 50k a day (75k if you have completed Royal Trouble) Put 10 workers on the best thing (currently Herbs), and 5 workers (if you have completed Royal Trouble) on the second best (currently Farming) This set up will give you a profit of approx. 200,000 coins a day (or 136,000 a day if you have not completed Royal Trouble.) This adds up quick. -Cookeh
  9. It looks like it's going to cost Jagex "tens of millions" http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/decision-to-cancel-mechscape-costs-jagex-tens-of-millions
  10. I remember the Gielinor Tribune. I believe I tried to join and was ignored. Which of course makes the flourishing of Planet FunOrb all the more delicious. You tried to join and were ignored? I honestly don't remember that...
  11. Heh, cute little newspaper. I started a newspaper called the Gielinor Tribune (anyone remember it lol?) You might want to change the name from that of the ingame newspaper, unless that's your intention.
  12. So u go by roonz an den u cast spellz on goblinz and duckz. Ever get tired of the slow experience rates of High Alchemy or the terrible losses of String-Jewellery? I sure have. I've done some research and come up with a simple, yet quite viable, method. As such, I've written a best-selling book on the topic under the Dummies brand. I hope you'll enjoy... This book is the result of thousands of hours of research combined with thousands of dollars of educational grants. Table of Contents 1.0) What the hell is this guy talking about? 2.0) General Information/The BORING Stuff 3.0) Experience Rates/The IMPORTANT Stuff 4.0) Prices/The GOOD and BAD Stuff 5.0) Tips and Tricks/The FUN Stuff 6.0) Questions and Answers/The QUESTIONS and ANSWERS Stuff 7.0) Closing Remarks/The LAST Stuff 8.0) Credits and Acknowledgements/The Part Where I THANK People. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GUY TALKING ABOUT? Good question. Bolt Enchanting is one of the little known ways of fast Magic Experience. "So what?", you're asking. Ah, yes. Bolt Enchanting MAKES MONEY (most of the time :)) Profits can range anywhere from 0 to 150,000 Coins an hour! But more on that later. GENERAL INFORMATION/The BORING Stuff To Enchant Bolts, you need two things: Bolts and Runes. More specifically, Gem-Tipped Bolts and Runes corresponding to the spell. Enchant Crossbow Bolt spell can first be used at level 4 Magic, but you won't go much of anywhere until at least level 27 Magic, and the fun starts at levels 49 and 57. Here's a Table from everyone's favorite site on Crossbow Bolts (because I'm too lazy to make my own.) It includes the level needed, runes needed and just about anything else you could EVER need. The only Bolts worth doing are Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. The other high-level bolts profit, but they are extremely difficult to sell. EXPERIENCE RATES/The IMPORTANT Stuff Casting Enchant Crossbow Bolt takes three game ticks, which are 0.6 seconds each. At the very maximum, one can cast 2000 Enchant-Bolts an hour. I manage around 1980. If I were to use Emerald Bolts (which require 27 magic and give 37 experience per cast), I would achieve a WHOPPING 73,260 Experience an hour, enough to take me from level 27 to almost 48 in an hour! At the maximum, one could receive 74,000 experience an hour. Ruby bolts (level 49 required) give 59 experience per cast, which could give a maximum of 118,000 experience per hour, just about as good as String Jewellery! Diamond bolts require level 57 and give 67 experience. That could translate to ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND experience an hour! Now we're talking! Other bolts may at some point make a profit, but these are the only solid ones. PRICES/The GOOD and BAD Stuff Prices, prices! Where to start! Oh yes. Remember how I hooked you by telling you this made a profit? I wasn't lying! Between 80 and 90 percent of the time, enchanting those three types of bolts made a profit. Let's start with Diamond. They require 2 Law Runes and a Cosmic (All calculations are done assuming some sort of elemental staff is used.) In this case, you'll be using an Earth Staff. As of the time of this last edit (9/8/09) Unenchanted Diamond Bolts are 967 each, and enchanted are 1072. Remember that you enchant 10 at a time. That's a difference of 1050 each enchant! Now let's factor in the Runes. Currently, Law Runes are at 359, and Cosmic Runes are 183. The spell costs 901 coins. Let's do some simple 'rithmetic. 1050 minus 901 is 149. 149 coins every enchantment! If you can do a maximum of 2000 an hour, that's 298,000 coins! Wow! 136,000 experience per hour AND almost 300,000 coins! That's actually a good way to make money! For the sake of making this more complicated, let's make an equation: P = 10(E - U) -R Where P is Profit, E= is the Enchanted cost of a Bolt, U is Unenchanted, and R is the cost of Runes for the spell. From this we gather that: Ruby Bolts make a profit of 85 each, for an per-hour income of up to 170,000 per hour. Emerald Bolts currently LOSE 19 per cast, for a loss per hour of 38,000. While this is certainly not much money, I would of course recommend to use the other bolts, seeing as they make money and give greater experience. Like I said, sometimes you will not make a profit. Which brings me to my point of this section: NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER buy Bolts and Runes before checking the Grand Exchange Database to make sure you can pull a profit! I have a friend (who will remain unnamed) who lost 800,000 coins over the period of an hour because he didn't check the prices! TIPS AND TRICKS/The FUN Stuff Soon I will be testing out Mousekeys to see if they would be helpful for Enchanting Bolts. For Ruby and Diamond, the code would be something like [5 - 6 - 7 - +] or [5 - 6 - 6 - 7 - 7 - +] repeated over and over. Check out wakka102's guide to Mousekeys found here. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS/The QUESTIONS and ANSWERS Stuff Closing Remarks/The LAST Stuff Well, what have we learned today? We have found a great way to gain magic experience and get some pretty major money. Sounds good to me! Thank you for reading this book. I will try to update this as often as possible to keep prices accurate. Check around the guides forum in the next few weeks for more books by me! And more picture on this guide! Credits/The Part Where I THANK People Java Gaming Experts (JaGEx) for creating RuneScape. Omgzzz I luvz j00. 13. Someone go diving and see if they can find that examine/see gwd from there?
  14. That would be so epic. While it would be some form of rule-breaking, I can't imagine you would be caught.
  15. don't say a username if they didn't want it said. ~Mirror~ 8/10 for the achievement, 0/10 for your 26king and PJing :shame:

  17. Ya know what really grinds my gears? A player named Flaminhot131 wasn't responding to Norman when he said his/her name. Accordingly, Norman decided that Flamin was botting. ;)
  18. A rave to... All the people who help you out when you forget the stupid little items like a pestle and mortar, a spade at barrows or a hammer at Bandos or any of the other ones that everyone forgets but no one admits to forgetting... Kudos to you for making such an interesting thread.
  19. Hello, I've been trying to make a comprehensive High-Alchemy calculator with all items in it for a while. The problem is, I'm having trouble getting the Grand Exchange prices to update every day. As far as I can see, I have two options: Using cURL to export the data from the GE website. Could someone explain to me how this works? I have a basic understanding of PHP. Would the prices update every day? Using a spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Docs. I have checked out Brainymidget's guide on how to do this with ImportHTML on Google Docs, but it only allows 50 ImportHTML functions per spreadsheet, and I really don't want to have to use 20 spreadsheets each with 50 items. So Google Docs doesn't seem to work. I'm still confused about how to do this with Excel. I tried using "Import External Data" on Excel 2003, but there were two problems: it would import the entire table of data, not just the one cell that I wanted. Also, the prices wouldn't update. It would just stay the same as when I updated it. Google Docs did update. Could I find a spreadsheet program that allows unlimited ImportHTMLs? If I can find a way to do either one... Is there a way I could get it to automatically make the items in the table that make a profit green, and the ones that make a loss red? Could I make it so the user could order them by profit/loss? If I can't do either of these, I could always order them and make the profits and losses green and red manually every day. If I could get a "buddy" that could help me with this table and maybe others, they would be my hero. If someone would take the time to answer these questions, they would also be my hero. Thanks so much, CookMePlox
  20. Cider Barrels, buying Shards on forums for 20 each, selling to Bogrog for 25 ea. Both can be in excess of 1000k an hour.
  21. That is a fairly impressive feat, but sadly, you are not the first. On Peacefull, the Level 3 Skiller Clan, I believe there are about 4 or 5 who have done it. Such as Dragon_On_Me, 1_Wear_Drag, and some others. I think there are also multiple Defence pures who have done it.
