  1. Great read, I always love your topics. Just one thing, I don't think Air Altar was moved to make it closer to a bank, as (I think) I recall that in the news post they said that the altar hadn't changed its proximity to a bank. How do you know the location (or direction, at least) of the Soul Altar?
  2. I haven't really tested Fatman yet, but he gives the same experience for a loot as the volunteers, and it seems through my (very few) tests that he's harder to knock out. I don't know, I'll check that out more later.
  3. I'm going to, that's what the unfinished "Specifics" part is for. I just didn't want to bother taking pictures and stuff right then. Thanks :D
  4. Are you bored of bandits? Is plundering a pain? Would you like to get lightning-fast Thieving experience in a cellar underneath an uninhabited two-story building? If you've answered YES to any of the preceding questions, read on! [hide=What the hell is he talking about?] Good question. Quite simply, I'm talking about luring, assaulting, and robbing the poor, defenseless Coshing volunteers. These characters, located inside the newly opened Thieves' Guild, give 162 (2 × 34) experience, and can be looted up to four (usually three) times per knock-out. At a minimum, it will take you approximately 12 ticks (7.2 seconds) for a round. A more realistic number is about 9 seconds per round. Let's do some math! 3600 ÷ 9 = 400 3 × 162 = 486 400 × 486 = 194,400 Look at that! Using pretty conservative estimates, you can get 194,400 experience per hour here! Let's try and see how much experience you can get if you really concentrate. 3600 ÷ 7.5 = 480 162 × 4 = 648 480 × 648 = 311,040 About 310,000 experience per hour seems to be about the highest possible with Coshing volunteers, using Mousekeys and the likes. But I'll leave that part up to you. [/hide] [hide=Requirements] There are only a few requirements. Completion of Buyers and Cellars From Tiny Acorns Lost Her Marbles (and by extension, 41 Thieving) [*]The Feud As for what to wear, you really only need a Rubber blackjack, obtainable from Dodgy Derek in the Thieves' Guild. You can't use any other blackjacks on the volunteers. You don't need anything in your inventory, either, and you won't get any loot (other than Hanky points) from them. [/hide] [hide=The Specifics] If you didn't already know, the Thieves' Guild is located in Lumbridge, as shown by this map. Once down in the guild, you'll want to proceed to the large Central Hall, which is where the volunteers can be found. They look like this: With your Rubber blackjack in hand, right-click the volunteers, and proceed to Lure, Knock-out, and Loot the volunteers. To lure, right-click lure, and your character will say something such as "That's the third biggest platypus I've ever seen!". ~More later~ [/hide] [hide=Hanky points] These oddly named rewards are another bonus, albeit a small one. Every time you steal from someone in the Thieves' Guild, you apparently get a handkerchief. While you never see these in your inventory, you get Hanky points. Most NPCs only give one Hanky point per steal, but the Coshing volunteers (and the Advanced pickpocketing trainer) give four. You can trade these in for some Thieving experience. Unfortunately, there is a weekly limit of how many points you can get. The maximum ranges from 52 to 84 points per week, depending on your level, and you should be about to max them out in less than a minute blackjacking the volunteers. The experience reward for maxed points ranges from about 2000 at level 41, to 10000 at level 99. It's not all that much, but it's a nice little reward for doing next to nothing. [/hide] [hide=Conclusion] Well, there it is, folks. 200,000+ XP per hour in Lumbridge, as promised. Good luck! I apologize to all of the Coshing volunteers who will have to suffer through countless painful bruises due to my writing this guide. [/hide]
  5. I'f I'm not mistaken, that came out around 2004ish,
  6. Thank you all for your help. One final question then I'll stop bothering you: When was enchanting released? Was it when you were able to start making jewellery? PS When was Seers' Village released? With fletching? Oh, and what about Warhammers? I can't find anything on them in Tip.It's news archives.

  8. Well, it appears I've brought on a little wave of nostalgia. Thanks Zimbu and others. On a semi-related note, when did heads start falling off of pickaxes? Oh, and were there (different types of) logs in the game before Fletching?
  9. Hi, I suspect you probably don't get too many questions like this, but here goes. Between the release of RuneScape (4 January 2001) to the release of the Dwarven Mines (6 April 2001), it seems to me that players could only get Bronze Pickaxes, as the only way for F2P to get non-Bronze Pickaxes seems to be at Nurmof's Shop, which was of course release along with the Dwarven Mines four months after the release of RuneScape. So my question is, where did people get non-Bronze pickaxes? Were they the only kind in the game for four months? Thank you, CMP
  10. Hi, When viewing the news archives, any of the news items on the page are there three times instead of only once. This seems to happen up until around 2007. Thanks, CMP
  11. You will see.... And yes i know it might be bit hard to believe, but i won't tell my sources. If this turns out to be false Racheya will eat your head. Srsly Eat away.
  12. Now I see this: >RWT AD Picture< Im dissapointed in you, Jagex. You support gold sellers as long as they follow the rules. TBH, the RuneScape Wiki has no control over the ads. Then they shouldnt be a silver fansite, but a bronze one. Silver Criteria: These are safe websites who understand the basics of supporting players These websites do not support Real World Trading and block adverts for any such services Jagex are acknowledges whenever any copyrighted content/images are used These websites have a friendly atmosphere and encourage players to help each other out These websites are a good resource for game-related help and offer a number of frequently updated tools and guides Silver Sites: Runevillage Global-rs Draynor Rsbandb Runescapemedia RuneScape Wiki Lunagang.nl (Dutch) At the risk of this turning into something more complicated, have you taken a look at RuneHQ's site? It's one big advertisement for Evony/Goldfarming/Powerleveling/You name it. And they're platinum. Whatever, I think the whole ranking system is stupid, and just a way for Jagex to get some sort of editorial control over fan sites.

  14. Anyone know if the multiplier stays at a constant 2.7x for the first hour, or if it declines from 2.7x immediately upon logging in?
  15. Make sure you buy your materials very soon and get those bars smelted ASAP as well because these will definitely rise right before and during the bonus weekend. This.
  16. Superheating, hands down. As of now, Adamant Bars are 379 profit each. If you can make 1100 Bars an hour, that's: 417k Coins an Hour 41250 Smithing XP an Hour 56300 Magic XP Per Hour
  17. It draws it's information automatically from the Grand Exchange as soon as it updates. Maybe the reason fruit bat pouches have the same profit is because they really do - did you check the Runescape Database to make sure? Well I did just now and it is in fact correct -.-. Actually, it doesn't auto-update  And Cod, Wtf? 4k an hour with kyatt?
  18. Well, if you can make 2800 Pouches into Scrolls per hour with a Kyatt (which is not hard to do), and a "run" with a BoB, teleporting to a house in Taverley (Yes, this is better than ballooning, I have tested) takes 42 seconds to get to obelisk, make scrolls, get stuff out of BoB, make more scrolls, and teleport to Castle Wars, then even a Spirit Terrorbird is better for making scrolls than a Kyatt. That's 3.3k pouches an hour with Terrorbird, 3.8k an hour with Tortoise, or 4.6k an hour with Yak (only taking 27 from Yak). This is clearly better than the Kyatt. Shame you can't really use BoBs for pouches. And it's anywhere from ~300 to 45000 xp an hour making scrolls. I don't think "swapping" is really the right word. You're making the scrolls from the pouches. And don't guarantee 800k+ an hour. PS You ruined it :(
  19. More trollish nitpicker: It's spelled restaurant.
  20. Really? I find that Duel Ring -> Duel Arena to Glider is faster. What do you do with your mints?
  21. Definitly post your guide to then. I am personally quite good on the subject but I'm always up for some tips. I've done quite some rounds myself pre-summoning, so I am more then curious what familiars are best to use now and which items you recommend to bring. It is a very fast minigame and well, the rewards are semi-nice :D especially with the whole mint-thing going on. I'll post that up ASAP, but my computer's being a noob right now. Hopefully I can get it up by tomorrow. Do you prepare your food beforehand, or after you get the order? How many deliveries can you do per hour? And I would love it if you could keep a log of your rewards (Which Customer/Reward). I've logged about 500 rewards so far, but it's far from accurate. Thanks.
